From reservations, to checking in, to lane usage, the whole journey was refreshingly smooth making for a very fun time. The facility was exceptionally clean, well staffed, and the displays of equipment were impressive. Upon entrance, I was immediately greeted by a bright and friendly woman who helped me get acquainted with the procedures. I was checked in by a delightful man named Tim. Tim had also helped me with my reservation and made sure, I was accommodated appropriately. Very professional. This was my first time at a gun range and my experience was limited, so I really appreciate how Tim understood my situation and included other staff members to help make sure I was comfortable with lane and weapons handling. A cool thing I learned, most of the staff is current or prior military. People who really know their trade and love what they do. I respect that. I was also introduced to a superb training instructor named Craig Terry. Craig helped refresh me on the fundamentals and guided me as I re-familiarized myself with the M15. Craig is observant and tuned into exactly the guidance I needed. Craig is respectful. His instruction and patience truly revitalized my confidence and gave me the best insight on what I needed to focus practicing on. I am very grateful to the time Craig gifted me. The lanes are comfortable, clean, and spacious. I didn't feel any hindrance about my surroundings and locking in was seamless. The target was easy to adjust and set nice and fast. The policies made sense and operations were a breeze. Ammo was decently priced and accurate to market value. All costs were very reasonable, especially for the atmosphere provided. I am impressed with the variety of weapons activities offered and particularly pleased with the variety of rentals available. I am beyond satisfied with what I paid for what I got. I had such a great time at Saddle River Range and I've been bragging about the place since. I already reserved two more sessions and I plan to bring a friend. I can see this becoming a weekly activity for me. Get this, they have a discount Happy Hour Monday - Thursday and free full-auto on Friday!

Highly recommended does not cut it…read more I have gone into this pace several times, and tbh, many others too. Each time I go in I browse the various sections, ask some question, maybe shoot my compound bow upstairs, and leave. But the last two were different. In the last two times I've been there a RSO named Lonnie Howard (who also works behind the shush tube counter) has dedicated 20-35 minutes each to answering my silly questions and helping me pick what's right for me. He never made me feel rushed, or ashamed of my ignorance. (And boy howdy that ignorance showed) While dealing with Mr. Howard, I genuinely felt as if I was the only one that mattered in that moment. Today just prior to leaving I purchased a new shush tube for my freedom seed launchers, and am so glad I did. I'd like to thank Mr. Howard, and Mr. Justin for all of their help and their patients. These men made it seamless, effortless, and a pleasure to delve into the unknown. If you (the reader) need help with your gear, do yourself a favor and don't waste time in other shops. Saddle River Range IS worth the drive.

The facility itself is top-notch--it's clean, modern, and has something for just about everyone. They have a huge indoor pistol and rifle range, an indoor archery range, and even a coffee shop, which is a nice touch if you're spending a few hours there. One of the biggest reasons I keep coming back is the staff. Everyone I've interacted with has been friendly, patient, and genuinely knowledgeable. I'd especially like to give a shoutout to Chris Lewis and Zach for taking care of all of my NFA paperwork. They've made the process smooth, answered all of my questions, and everything has been handled professionally with no issues so far. If you're looking for someone to help with suppressors, SBRs, or other NFA items, I'd recommend working with either of them. The showroom always has plenty of firearms, optics, and accessories to browse, and I never feel pressured to buy anything. It's clear the staff enjoys what they do and wants customers to leave informed rather than just making a sale. Whether you're a new shooter, an experienced enthusiast, or looking for a trustworthy FFL or NFA dealer, I highly recommend checking out COPENDERO. They've definitely earned my business, and I look forward to continuing to work with them for future purchases.

STOP LOOKING -- THIS IS YOUR NEW RANGE…read more Copendero Indoor Archery & Gun Range has been an absolute gem for our A Girl & A Gun Woodlands chapter. After less-than-stellar experiences elsewhere, finding a range that truly values its members has been refreshing. From day one, they've treated us like gold--welcoming, respectful, and consistently accommodating. The staff is outstanding. Their RSOs are attentive, safety-focused, and professional while still being friendly and approachable. Special shoutout to Michael and Colt, who are always excellent on the range. Angel at the coffee/snack bar is a delight, and Chris seems to be everywhere at once keeping things running smoothly. Gabe and Brandon have also gone above and beyond to support our group and make everyone feel welcome. The facility itself is impressive--clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. Great pistol lanes, a solid 100-yard rifle range, unique rental firearms, quality targets, a strong retail selection, and even an on-site gunsmith. They also have an indoor archery range, which adds another layer of fun and versatility. Online lane reservation ability is a plus. Another major advantage is the availability of multiple classroom spaces equipped with presentation technology, making it an excellent venue for training, safety courses, group meetings, and educational events. One feature I especially appreciate is that each lane has cameras that let you evaluate your target without constantly reeling it back in. It's efficient, modern, and makes practice sessions much smoother. Their ventilation system is excellent--a big deal at any indoor range--and clearly designed with shooter comfort and safety in mind. There's also a front coffee/snack bar open to everyone, which gives the whole place a welcoming clubhouse feel rather than a sterile retail vibe. One of the most distinctive touches is the décor, featuring taxidermy displays--many reportedly harvested by the owner's son with a bow, which is genuinely impressive. Upstairs is a separate business, but accessible to certain tier members and for events. A VIP lounge space that deserves mention all its own: cigars, drinks, TV, fireplace, pool table, and a great atmosphere to unwind after shooting. They also host creative events--date nights with chef-prepared meals, couples shooting activities, indoor steel challenges, and a calendar full of options for every skill level. They support veterans with discounts and are generous supporters of the Girl & A Gun ladies as well, which says a lot about the kind of business they are. Whether you're teaching your child to shoot safely, training seriously, or just enjoying a weekend range session, Copendero delivers. I get tremendous value from my membership and highly recommend them. As a group of experienced women shooters, we are proud and grateful to call Copendero our home range. First-class people, first-class facility.

I hate to see all the bad reviews and want to say something. I've noticed a trend that…read more shooting ranges, especially indoor ones, have their share of vocal complainers. I'm not sure what they are expecting but gun ranges are not elegant, fancy or going to cater to your every need and whim. They are normally run by an old grumpy Veteran and w a staff that is normally very direct, stern and short bc they are dealing w life and death.. they can come across as rude, but it's not meant to normally. It's the fact they're often dealing with not smart people, not used to shooting firearms, and are casually holding things that kill people.. not your favorite martini. Keep all that in mind and don't expect them to baby you. First, this IS NOT the best range for first time shooters. Can you do it, sure, ideal- no. Second, I love this little range. It's a small, back of the neighborhood type of place. Only 18 yards or so. It's not fancy and only 5 or 6 lanes.. They expect you to know what you're doing; get in, do your thing, use standard firearm protocol for ranges, then get out. The owner has always been nice to me, as w the staff.

I'm honestly confused how this place has over 4 stars. If I could, I wouldn't even give it one…read more Before trusting the glowing 5-star reviews (likely from friends and family), I'd highly recommend reading the real 1-star reviews from actual customers. We even dealt with the OWNER, who was the rudest of them all. The second we arrived, they asked where we were from. We brushed it off as small talk, but looking back, it felt like judgment. We were a large bridal party with both experienced and new shooters. Since this is advertised as a TRAINING CENTER, we expected the staff to be welcoming toward beginners, review safety, and provide proper instruction. Especially since we had called ahead, explained it was for a bridal party, and were told they were "excited to have us." No mention was made about experience being an issue. Upon signing the liability waiver, the owner handed me a Ruger magazine (even after we said we were more familiar with Glock). He gave us five seconds to load it (even after we explained we usually use a tool because of our nails) before yanking it back, saying he had "seen enough," and accusing us of lying about our shooting experience. At that point, everyone was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. When we told them, the owner yelled that he'd be happy to take our money but didn't want us shooting there anyway. As we walked out, he and his staff stood at the window and stared at us until we drove away. Truly, this was the most uncomfortable and unnerving experience I've ever had at a gun range and we are members at multiple ranges in our home state... I highly encourage. You read the one star reviews of people having ricochet bullets hit their hands and they begin bleeding and need to go to the ER and the owners didn't care. Or about the owner screaming at a seven-year-old. Please check the other reviews before coming here!!

Visited my parents this past weekend for July 4th so I wanted to check out a range I heard about…read morenear College Station. All of the other rifle ranges I've been to in the North Houston area have been absolutely dreadful so I was hoping for a change of pace. The Cawthon Cartridge Club (CCC) is located near Navasota, TX and about 20 miles from Aggieland. The range is on a huge swath of land, I reckon about +800 acres. They have a 200 yard range, numerous uncovered tactical bays with just a few steel targets, several pistol bays and a 5-stand area for shotgun. The entire area (including berms) was covered in a lush green grass that was freshly mowed. The roads were crushed limestone. The owner roves the grounds in a John Deere Gator UTV but other than that there were no Range Safety Officers. I was only interested in shooting long distance so proceeded to the rifle range. Newcomers are restricted to 500 yards and below until they quality with the owner. There were steel hanger targets every 50 yards and at the 500 yard line, there were about 8 different steel targets of varying sizes. The grass was very neatly trimmed and gently sloped downward. Beyond the 500 yard line were targets every 100 yards until 1200. The shooting area was up on a hill with a nice metal shade structure. There were some rickety old benches but I chose to shoot prone. There was a nice breeze blowing into our faces which really helped to beat the brutal heat and humidity. Out beyond the 1200 yard target was a farmer working a field in his tractor. The owner advised us of this beforehand and asked us to hold fire until he was out of sight. This was annoying as the farmer was constantly behind the target area; fortunately I had two people with me, one to spot my targets and the other to keep an eye on the farmer. Hopefully this is not a regular occurrence. I've never shot at a range this nice before. They didn't have as many steel targets as ETTS in Waxahachie but the grounds were much nicer. Membership is $750/yr but they let me pay only for the remainder of 2016. Guests are $25 each and you are normally restricted to two.

There's a metal folding chair and a bench that's too high for it at the 100 so I just went prone instead. So if you're not a member don't expect much. Otherwise, I understand there's some decent long shots to be had there with covered shelters and such. I don't recall the membership dues but it's several hundred dollars.

I'm not a person that likes to write reviews and because I don't like to complain…read more l've been coming to thunder gun range for many many years. I know the owner and his wife I have bought guns from them and done business here and I'll continue giving this establishment my business. There has been many changes at thunder over the last few years and I like the way it is now more quiet and peaceful it's not crowded also you do your own thing and no one will bother you as long as you're being safe and the following the rules. Keith and Emilio, who is the head RSO and supervisor are very professional and do not tolerate any nonsense. Operations run smoothly and very safe under their watch. both are very good salesman and I have bought plenty of ammunition as so do other customers. It's a big change from the past compared to when they had so many people working there and nobody knew what they were doing. They had many sketchy/jail birds working there just walking around going on a power trip and bossing people around also smoking in your face that's just unprofessional and so rude. also threatening to kick people out because they are half owners and going around yelling at others. The event that happened that occurred yesterday morning at around 9:50 before opening. as they were opening up an older gentleman who was just rude, sketchy and very suspicious claimed he worked there and he's an employee. He walking around with customers on the range and let them set up their firearms on the firing deck when there was no R.S.O. present and the range wasn't even open this was 10 minutes before they opened and the range opens at 10:00 AM. This is could lead to a fatal accident and it's very unsafe!! According to the elderly man claimed he was related to the owner and was an employee there and he spoke in a yelling manner and waving his cigarette around. I thought it was very unsafe for people to be walking around and setting up fire arms on the shooting decks and me and my wife weren't the only ones who witnessed it another customer witnessed it. That's when Emilio who is the main employee and R.S.O. walked in and handle the situation professionally and corrected everything and let the customers that what they did was unsafe and that they needed to check in, pay at the desk and wait for the R.S.O to escort them to the range. The customers acted very disrespectful and went psycho and try to gang up and come up to the RSO, but he told the angry customer to stand back and put his hand out as be told him to stand back. He told that they needed to leave the property and that police would be called if the situation got out of control and if there was no no respect. The angry customers and his family were very confrontational and threw a temper tantrum. Also the so-called employee whose name is Carlos because I the RSO he was so rude and horrible. Emilio corrected the situation like a professional like it needed to be in and told him he did was not right and very unsafe also that he had no authority to give tours. That man elderly man Carlos he went off by saying the F word and acting childish but R.S.O Emilio told him he needed to leave the and he went away. Even though the whole situation was tense and confrontational, Emilio handled everything professionally and did everything in his power to protect himself and the range I applaud him what great young man and Keith too who arrived after the incident unfolded I'll have to say they both are some great people and I'm glad that they are in charge of running this gun range and in charge. I'm so proud of the way they responded to the situation. my recommendation is that a few safety measures need to be taken in order to prevent any future accidents. The entry to the shooting range area deck needs to be blocked off after hours and before opening hours and they do not need to have sketchy and suspicious people walking around claiming that they are employees and letting them in for free. The RO's need more protection from confrontational customers. But other than that, I'll continue to give this range my business and thank you for keeping everything running great Keith and Emilio. But the ones wrong in this situation that unfolded yesterday was the hostile and confrontational customers and his family, and the employee who claims he's the co- manager was just rude and so suspicious. I'm sorry to be disrespectful but they need to not have trashy people and jail birds around customers they let the power go to their heads. The two running young man running this gun range have done a great job and both are very capable of serving the needs of every customer. Nobody told me to write this review, but I had to after the confrontational and unacceptable incident that happened yesterday morning. Will Womack
