I live here currently, and I would not recommend living here. Due to the economy and having to do everything by myself, it was the least expensive apartment I found. Even though they just raised it with no reason other than it's been a year--- no upgrades. But what I also have come to find is, that all the neighbors are obnoxiously loud, inconsiderate and ghetto --especially near me, disrupting me day and night and I work from home. It seems like no one has a job here because I can hear them in my walls like rats all day and night. I live upstairs but the noises that come from my surrounding area feels and sounds like I live downstairs. Outside landscape is the most welcoming and kept up with, but we have to pay a pest control fee every month, yet the pests are not controlled. This place is roach infested and no matter how many times they've sprayed, there are still creepy crawlers to which I saw one come out of an outlet in the kitchen! They act like my complaints are irritating and unnecessary but if I'm going to be paying over $2000 a month, that is the bare minimum. Your rent also goes up significantly because utilities are included, but what you will learn is that you share meters/water heater so you have to pay for water and the heat for the water separately-- no matter how much water you're using. The smell of the pipes are so old and gross, it creeps into your house. I've spent so much money on air freshener to avoid vomiting. I'm hardly ever home and I'm still paying 70+ dollars for water every month, plus my own SDG&E bill for the electricity part. I contacted the property management company about this to ask, and they gave me the runaround and stopped replying when I didn't agree to a phone call. That's not suspicious at all. The property manager on the premise will just send you an addendum that doesn't explain much, and definitely none of these things explicitly. You also have to pay for the trash and that "fluctuates." As an individual currently, I'm paying $93 for trash because they split it/ release responsibility throughout the entire complex as they throw away toilets, fridges, closet doors and cement blocks. Seemingly they have trouble leasing these, due to all of these things aforementioned-- so whoever lives here is stuck paying whatever bill comes instead of the property management/owner. Meanwhile, because I'm rarely here, I barely use the dumpster while people are throwing away entire furniture collections every other week. The popcorn ceilings are so outdated and full of dust that my allergies are on 10 all the time and cleaning is more often than not because surfaces get dusty probably the next day after you've cleaned. It's actually really hard to keep up with. There's a pool, but I don't think anyone cleans it so the water is always murky and full of bugs and leaves. I guess it's all preparing me for homeownership. It's actually been a traumatizing year living here and I've only been physically here five months out of the year. So if all that is right up your alley, then you found your home. read more

Been here for years. All of sudden they have grounds keepers. However they now start at 8 am! Left blowing right by your window! It's now 8:45 they do this for almost a hour. It's ridiculous and unprofessional. Waking kids. People who get off really late have to wake up to this. If you wanna live here be mindful cause they sure aren't. read more

Listen up! Have you ever moved into an apartment complex and every week something is broken? Where it take weeks before it gets fixed if ever? Where the grounds are just dirt and weeds? Where ants, bugs and leaks are the norm and the apartment manager never calls back or could care less about your problems? I have lived at the Conrad Villas Apartments for almost 7 years. This is the place to live if you want a place that feels like home. The management is so great here, They are professional, prompt and caring. Repairs are usually done the very same same day!!!! The grounds are green, clean pool and jacuzzi, plus assigned parking. They just had movies and pizza on them! It was great! The bedrooms are nice and large with great amenities but for me, what's best of all, is its pet friendly. Something about neighbors caring for pets, they always seem to be a bit more friendly. This is a great complex if your looking to move. It's really become home for me and my family! read more

She has been very respectful of my privacy, very considerate and professional in her dealings with me. I've lived here for about 5 years. Before i had lived in a few complexes but they were horrible and management was hard to get a hold of if there was an issue. My mom moved here a year before and I was so impressed with the property ad how things were run that i decided to move in on the other side of the complex. I'm so glad I did. Katie is hands down the best apartment manager i have ever come across. She handles things promptly and makes sure her Tennant's are taken care of not to mention she such a caring good natured person in general. Jesus ,the maintenance man is also fabulous and works so hard to make sure things are done well. They are an amazing team and to be honest they are the reason I have lived here so long, you just don't find great management like them anymore. read more

I've lived here for 5 years and cannot express how sad I am to leave. I have NEVER lived in an apartment complex where the manager is as caring and as wonderful as Katie. Literally any time I've addressed any issue to her, she is always proactive, responds so kindly and gets her tenants what she needs. Even her staff takes care of all maintenance needs with little to no trouble. They even took the time out to remember that I have a cat and made sure to carefully enter and exit my unit (if they ever needed to enter) in order to ensure that my cat stayed in my apartment. I originally moved to Conrad Villas with the intent to move out in a year. I picked the place because it was affordable. It's because of Katie that I ended up staying there for as long as I did. When it comes to this place, I understand that it may not be a fancy La Jolla apartment, but for how well you're treated as a tenant, I feel like it was worthwhile living so far away from work. I just wish I could take Katie with me to wherever I'm moving. I will truly miss the complex, my neighbors, the staff and wonderful management. read more

I lived here from October 2011-2013. I has just lost my house and quickly had to find housing that would take my 2 cats. Walked in after my court date and Katie could not have been more helpful! Since I worked across the street she waived my credit check fee since I have regular monthly income. Absolutely loved every day of living there. I only left because I met my now husband and he was renting a house already. Grounds are clean and beautiful. Thank you Katie you really saved me! read more

I think one star is being generous. I wouldn't move here and now I won't even visit family who lives here. I was picking up my son from visiting a family member. There is no visitor parking and never any street parking available. I pulled up to the side entrance, which is marked fire lane to have my son come down ( I was not blocking the driveway nor any vehicles). I got out of my vehicle to walk to the apartment and tell him it was time to leave when I saw a tow truck pass my vehicle. I went back to my vehicle just as he was backing up to my car. I went to him and asked if he was going to tow me and that I was just picking up my son I would move my car immediately. He seemed nice at first and said since I had just caught him in time he would not tow me. He said he would need to see my ID. As I turned around to get my ID he lifted my car with the truck. I asked him I thought you were not towing me and he said don't worry he wasn't. He then told me he needed to fill out some paperwork and he would drop my car. After he filled out the paperwork and I signed he told me I was getting off cheap and proceeded to tell me how much it would if he had towed me. He then told me that it was $90 to drop my vehicle, but he would take whatever cash I had on me. He told me that if I paid with credit card it was $90 no matter what and that if I didn't pay it there would be serious consequences. If felt threatened and told him I only had $50 cash. He took the $50 and dropped my vehicle. I later found out by a tenant that the manager's husband works for the tow company and she can radio him to tow vehicles. This sounds like a conflict of interest. I felt I had no other choice, I'm threatened I need to give cash or face outrageous fees. Who knows if this company doesn't do this all the time and is making money off of others. I've been to other apartment complexes before and never been treated like this. read more

I've been living here over a year now and have never had money problems with the washers/dryers! Katie is an amazing manager, very caring and kind. The maintenance man comes right away, even at night once, he finished his dinner and came right over. They have a twice monthly FREE exterminator if you have a problem with little buggies, I never have had ANY problems!! The kids are a bit of a problem, because NO ONE watches their own children. I go out with my son so there are no probs when I'm out there! The apartments are big, yes there is a pet deposit, but apt's nowadays can have monthly rent for pets so I think a one time deposit is better than monthly rent! I would like to make this my final home!! Plus it's very conveniently located for shopping, bus routes etc. I'm guessing the previous rater had his car towed...the parking is marked for each apt and says if it's not your spot you will be towed. I'm very happy here, have no problems at all and love the grounds, very green, lots of plants and flowering bushes, and frogs croaking! Love that sound...lol! Again, I cannot say enough about Katie, she's the greatest! read more

I have unfortunately had to move a couple times since I came to SD 5 years ago, and I have to say, this is by far the worst place yet. Hate to rate it so low because as the other reviews say, the manager Katie is amazing. My big issue is the noise level. Do NOT move here if you're looking for a quiet place. There are kids screaming and horsing around at all hours. Never seen a parent around. Things are even worse if you live by the pool area. There are a few residents that take over the place as if it was their own. Besides the screaming, and loud music they play, they also leave their wet clothes and towels hanging to dry all around the pools gates making it look dirty and tacky. Again, never any adults supervising. There are multiple signs around the complex with rules stating that there is no skateboarding, scooter riding, ball playing, or rollerblading, but every day I see this out there. I wouldn't recommend using the apts washers/dryers either. Those things stink! Your clothes come out worse. Not to mention, a neighbor told us all their bed sheets got stolen from there as well. I am so glad we got the short 6 mth lease. I cannot wait to get out of here. read more

i am being honest so first of all, if you bring new pets to the place you have to pay 500 dollars don't you think that's a lot of money?! second of all the laundry room steals your money my wife paid two times the quarters you are supposed to use. third of all the neighbors are thief's they steal your car all times my wives got stolen a lot of times and the manager doesn't do anything. fourth of all the manager has a contract with a towing company and they tow any car that looks like its not important or sometimes, when someone is moving and they have your parking spot and you take one that no one uses that company still tows, remember the manager has a contract with an evil towing company that tows your car randomly its called classic towing company write it down so you don't have a contract with them oh and if you think Katy is mean she is actually being bossed around by her real boss [tip] please don't move here, ITS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!!! read more
