I stopped in to grab a couple of snacks while visiting the area. The checkout started off normally,…read morebut after I paid, the cashier questioned why I had put my apple in a produce bag. When I said I wasn't really sure and had just done it out of habit, she replied, "Well, you're going to eat it, right?" The interaction felt judgmental and left me feeling embarrassed over something that seemed like a normal shopping choice. It was disappointing because the employee had been very warm and friendly with the customer ahead of me, but I left feeling uncomfortable. I hope future customers are treated with a little more kindness and without being made to feel self-conscious over small decisions.

This store used to be a charming staple in our small community--a true general store that felt…read morewelcoming, personal, and cared for under the previous owner, Brian. We were in there almost every day. But since the new ownership took over, everything that made it special has been lost. The focus now seems to be purely on profit. Prices have skyrocketed, the breakfast burritos (which used to be amazing) have been completely changed and are now barely edible, and we were just sold (on June 3rd) hot dog and hamburger buns that we later discovered had expired-- hot dog buns that had expired in April and hamburger buns in May. Unfortunately, we only realized it after eating them. The changes haven't just affected the quality--they've changed the entire feel of the place. The building and retaining walls have been painted in hideous, jarring colors. Spray-painted arrows now cover the pavement, and there's a strange year-round display out front with a plastic angel and palm tree that make the place feel tacky and confusing instead of quaint. To top it off, they're hand-feeding deer in front of the store. My husband literally had to walk around the deer and the person feeding it just to get inside. What once felt like a local gem now feels like just another convenience store. Cold, impersonal, and disappointing. There are even concerning rumors that a makeshift storage area in the back is being used as a place to live, which raises serious health and safety concerns. It's a real shame to see such a beloved place lose its soul.

What's not to like about Trader Joe's?…read more I was invited to my dear friend's home for Christmas dinner this past year and her son-in-law offered to make me a dirty martini with Trader Joe's lemon stuffed olives along with the juice. Immediately I was hooked, so much that I had to go there on 12/30/25. Surprisingly the store was moderately busy and with the help from a very friendly staff member, I was able to locate them. The store is well organized and stocked and as usual, the staff members are very helpful and friendly.

The parking lot could use repaving, be careful of snow/ice build up. Also, needs a good paint job and some cleaning. Prices showed rather cheap on items inside for being a convenience store. However, not all the pumps were functioning AND not all of them had unleaded. Some only had plus. Be careful when you pull up to what pump has what. I made the mistake of pulling up, not checking and then going inside to pay. I had the pump number right, but it was plus only. I go inside now always. All it takes is having that awful experience of someone stealing your card info from those 'scanner' things. Plus I want the exact amount taken out of my account. I don't like that it takes days for banking to take the exact amount out (they typically authorize MORE than what you get). Gas Buddy app told me it was cheap gas at this location, but it wasn't when I went to the pump with plus on it only! Yeesh! Lesson learned!
