Silly me, this store tried to tell me they were cons with their name and I didn't believe them! I bought a new washer and dryer and just had to refuse delivery on a dryer that was very clearly not new, and was in fact missing a key wiring component. This all happened an hour past the delivery window AND left me with my old washer in the middle of my upstairs hallway. THANKS CONNS! Also- the 3rd party contractor they hired to deliver the appliances accidentally broke the front door of my house. The young man begged me not to file a claim because the company would make him pay out of pocket to fix it. This is an exploitative policy to pit customer and delivery person against one another while leaving the company completely out of it. Shrewd business practice? Maybe. Evil? YES. Katrina was in semi-training and was very nice. Chris was helpful and I was there to get a tv. While I was waiting for paperwork and saw a really nice glider/recliner floor model on sale. I purchased that chair. We did an inspection and it was in good shape. When I went to recline in it after the delivery the handle to make it recline fell off. I looked under it to see if the bolt was there. The entire side panel was cracked off the frame and resting on the floor. They told me since it was a floor model too bad. What, like I bought a chair and then broke it? Delivery broke it but I guess since I didn't pull the lever before delivery guys left I have to eat the loss. The place gave me used car salesmen vibes. The whole experience was terrible. They tried everything they could to upsell us on every item we looked at, tried to pressure us into buying extended warranty which we made very clear that we weren't interested in.. the manager was clueless about just about everything. She constantly asked the salesman what she needed to enter into the computer next.. As we were waiting for around 2 hours for them to complete the process, we were walking the store looking around, and the manager, from across the store, proceeds to whistle at my wife like a dog to get her attention! It was a terrible experience! They also entered the wrong address for the delivery, (we had just moved so the address on my wife's id was our former address) we gave them the new address and thought everything was good.. We then got a call saying that we needed to come in and redo our paperwork because they put the wrong address.. We called back and talked to an employee and he said that he could fix the problem over the phone and that we didn't need to come back in... We then get another call saying that we do indeed need to come in and redo the paperwork My wife went and did it and we thought that was the end of this nightmare. WRONG! They delivered the beds today and only had the 1 bed for the kids and a mattress.. they said that the adjustable frame was a Black Friday deal and that when we resigned the paperwork we no longer got the frame..the whole process was terrible. The first element you need to know about Conn's is that their business model is not at all about selling white and brown goods--it is about FINANCING those goods at outrageous interest rates. The second element you should know is that their goods selection is targeted straight at the lower-middle class. Very narrow selection of brands and models. Entering into the store creates a feeling of being thrown back in time to the 1950s when there were stores that sold: mattresses, furniture (ugly), refrigerators, washers, TVs. The salesguys are the metaphorical offspring of those oily guys from the 50s. + The store is clean and brightly lit. + The prices on items with manufacturer part numbers are standard retail. (Best Buy was $100 cheaper on the washer that I price checked.) - No way for you to check prices on mattresses and furniture though. - No Wi-Fi. There is no reason to shop here. Every big box store will beat them on selection and price in that category. Their after-the-sale customer service is notoriously horrible. My one and only visit. I purchased $6k of furniture back in November 2021. I made all of my payments (actually paid double & early every month). Conn's decided I was such a good customer that they sent me a letter and offered me an additional $7500 credit line as long as I used it by 4/4/22. I took the letter to my local Conn's store and they were so confused that they tried to start me from scratch as a new customer and run my credit again. It took 2 managers and about 45 minutes for them to find me in their system as an exisiting customer. Then they proceeded to run my credit again anyway and informed me that I only get $6100, not the $7500 that was offered by Conn's. (CON #1). Next, we spent some time choosing the furniture we needed. We tested many mattresses and landed on a bed and bedroom set that we preffered the feel and aesthetic of. The bedroom set we chose from the showroom floor ended up not having all of the parts in stock, so it would be 6 weeks before we could get it. The salesman offered us a bedroom set that wasn't on the showroom floor, because it was brand new and in stock. We liked it, so we agreed to order that set. Now, it was time to checkout. It took the salesman 50 minutes to get it done in the computer! He kept messing up and starting over. It took 3 people to get it figured out. Then, after almost an hour of standing there, he says oh by the way, we can't get you no-interest for 12 months like we said we would. And he couldn't give me a reason. Just a $1700 hit on interest, no explanation. (CON#2) I was already 3 hours into this process by now, we needed a new bed and bedroom set, and we had 2 crying infants with us, so I caved and accepted the additional $1700 in interest charges and placed our order for delivery. The very next day, another Conn's associate called me trying to sell me on coming into the store to buy stuff and said I had a new credit line, because they ran my credit a 3rd time. ‍ Talk about disconnected, he didn't even know I was a 2 time returning customer that just spent $13,000 in 6 months at that exact store! (CON #3) So, now it's delivery day. The Conn's delivery team shows up with a rented Penske truck, not a company delivery truck, and two guys proceed to deliver my new bedroom set, TV, fridgerator, and deep freezer (and they took away my old mattress and old TV). They get to the end and ask me to sign for the delivery and I realize there is no mattress or boxspring for the bedroom set? They say there isn't one there, maybe it's coming on another truck... this was not the case! I was sold a bed with no mattress or boxspring, after literally testing mattresses for 30 minutes with our salesman and choosing one. (CON #4) I call Conn's customer service and they say, sorry nothing we can do ‍. Then they tell me, "You need to speak to that specific store where the order was taken." I call that store and their answer is, "there wasn't an order for a mattress or boxspring entered and that the salesman thought we were coming back to order a mattress later... (absolutely ridiculous, I know!) What he was really trying to do, was keep the order within my available limit, so he could get the bigger sale without me saying no to a bed without a mattress and he could still get his commissions from the sale. He scammed me for his paycheck! (CON #5) This is where it gets interesting. They tell me that they don't have my old mattress that they took. The manager says I already spoke with the crew and they said there is No Mattress on their truck. Luckily for me, I have security cameras that caught the entire thing on camera and I informed them that they are busted. Nobody admits this, and then an hour later the mattress is dumped on my front porch and they take off (also all on camera). At this point I needed a manager to help. They proceeded to tell me to just come on back in and they would sell me a mattress for the bedroom set. Literally, their solution was to say, just come on back and spend more money with us, which was their plan all along. ‍ (CON #6) At this point I'm fed up with the scam to get thousands more of my dollars. I tell them we are done here, come pick it ALL back up and we are not purchasing from Conn's ever again. They assure me it can be fixed and say they will get with corporate to figure out a solution and they will call me back. Two days pass and nobody calls us back... I have to reach out to see what's going on. Once again, nobody seems to know what's going on and we start again with another manager.... this manager says "we spoke with corporate and they are going to make it right". They tell me to pick a mattress and corporate will tell us what can be done. I pick a mattress and they say OK great, we will get with corporate and call you back with the offer to male things right. 2 days pass, NO CALL... AGAIN!!! Ok so this is an update since our last experience. Since we have been if I'm not mistaken there is a new store manager in place. We were introduced to him by our sales associate as were requesting free delivery for our purchase. His name is Jorge Cervantes. I honestly can't say enough about his customer service skills and how I was able to bend his ear about my dissatisfaction with the customer service I've been receiving from their credit dept. based out of Texas. He reassured me that things are in motion with their upper mgmt to be more customer directed instead of just us being another account number. As I've explained to him we've never missed a pymt or been assessed a late pymt fee and our pymt history is in excellent standing but yet for the last 2 months I've been getting phone calls asking about my pymt. Which I explained to them how about my pymt being late before you start calling. Nonetheless this is about our experience. Conns is pretty decent as far as selection. Our sales associate was pretty "green" but I did appreciate that at the end if it all add he did ask what we thought of her her customer service, so it's nice to see she is open to comments and criticism. I would recommend this location, FYI we live about 7 mins from the Northglenn location but we really would rather take the time to drive to Arvada we have been with them since they opened 3 years ago. read more

I have to give a shout out to Conn's. Our refrigerator died Tuesday night and we had heard horror stories about buying appliances right now. Sure enough, Home Depot, Lowes, all the usual places were quoting several weeks for delivery. We decided to check Conn's - best experience I have ever had purchasing an appliance and I've purchased A LOT of them! They told us they could deliver it this FRIDAY...be still my heart! I got exactly what I wanted, the price was competitive and we got 36 months no interest to pay for it. Later that evening I got a call from their delivery department, asking if it would be ok for them to deliver it on Thursday. It's now here and it will NEVER be this clean again. Completely appalled at the disgusting nonsense the manager Jorge has put forward. I have spent tons of money here (I bought my whole kitchen set here) and had friends come in and drop 10K+. Well, I bought an awesome washer/dryer combo at an amazing deal through my brother who was an employee. I got a $1,000 washer and $1,000 dryer for about $645 each. I was thrilled. I had to get all of the hookups put into my house and that cost me about $5,000. I was excited for the appliances be installed. I got a call from the manager Jorge saying he personally cancelled my order. Why? I had to reschedule. I had problems with the construction to add them. THE DELIVERY WAS CONFIRMED BY CORPORATE. I was livid, and I started making calls. First called the store. Jorge finally called me back and said in the snarkiest attitude possible that "You're not getting them, that's for sure." I felt so, so disrespected I couldn't think. I called in a favor and got the REGIONAL VPs PHONE NUMBER!!! I called him and complained. He got right on Jorge's ass to tell him to fix what spiteful actions he had done. Now, they are only willing to SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE of what I paid for them compared to what they are now. I'm paying an extra $400 for the ridiculous manager being spiteful and entirely incompetent. Really funny though, I hope if Jorge sees this I was giggling the whole time thinking of how much he was freaking out over his boss 3 ranks above him was probably chewing his ass. My dryer was just about on it's last leg, so I ordered one from here. I had it delivered and the delivery men scratched it up on both sides while taking it through the door. It's a dryer, who's going to see it?! Was bought brand new, not from a scratch and dent sale. All they want to refund is the delivery charge due to the severity of the scratches... SMH. I was supposed to get a couch delivered and paid the $150 for their delivery. The day before delivery I missed a call for confirmation and the recording said I should confirm via the email they sent me. They hadn't sent an email, so I called back to confirm. When I spoke with a woman on the phone she confirmed everything and gave me delivery window for the following day. As a normal human that works, I moved around my schedule to make sure I was there. The delivery (nor any email even after I had confirmed my address) came. I called back in again and the person on the phone said they would be delivering it the following day. Apparently, the delivery schedule now isn't made until 8pm (though I was given my delivery time at 6pm the day before) so I can't even schedule my day. Great, so glad I paid that money to change my schedule two days in a row and the second day on a day I was supposed to leave town. Our salesman, Dean, was very helpful and knowledgeable. However, Conn's has some work to do. As a business owner I charge my prices up front. I was disappointed last night while trying to buy a refrigerator that was marked on Clearance. Dean said they had 13 in stock, so it was weird they were even marked on Clearance. Anyway, we start the paperwork and Conn's tries to con you out of a whole bunch of other shit that should come with the damn thing. Water kit $20 Insurance $60 Delivery $79 Delivery was supposed to be free but because Conn's had marked this particular item as clearance then they say it's okay to charge for delivery. The associate asked me what I was looking for, he escorted me and my 3 small kids in tow, painstakingly through a maze of crap all of the way through the middle of the store only to get to the other side for him to ask what I was looking for again. "Oh, yeah we don't carry anything like that." Great job buddy. I ask about the second item, bed mattresses. They have mattress as one of like four things on the side of the building. Horrible experience with this place. Their prices are way higher than any other furniture store but I figured I was getting quality stuff and would be treated better. The table I wanted was out of stock they said it would be there within one month guaranteed so I decided to wait. After a month I went to pick the table up just to be told it isn't there yet. I kept calling back to find out when it would be there and was just given the runaround every time.Finally it came in over a month after they told me it arrived and then gave me three days to pick it up or they were going to sell it. We bought a $1200 power reclining couch and it died after 4 weeks and it took another 4 weeks for them to get a guy to fix it out tour place and now they say it will take another 3 weeks to get parts and fix it. This was my first time in and I was hesitant. BUT, the store is clean, employees are friendly and the manager is great! I worked with Josh and he was fantastic! If I had a ton of extra cash I would obviously not finance my furniture. However, I needed a few things and this worked out perfectly. They have no interest deals and a great clearance area. My daughter recently purchased a refrigerator from this Conns along with some other furniture and appliances. A large purchase. When the items were delivered it was a different refrigerator than the one she picked out. When she contacted the store the customer service wss horrible. They were argumentative and basically called her a liar. What a joke. My fiancé bought an extremely expensive tv a couple weeks ago. We had some brick work does and couldn't get around to trying to mount out tv till yesterday. Unfortunately the the brick was done around the mount and the tv we bought didn't work. My fiancé went in to EXCHANGE the tv and offered to pay a restocking fee for opening the box. Apparently they were extremely rude and said we can't do ANYTHING for you. I am a district manager for 5 boutiques in Denver- we're a tiny business. I would atleast let a customer exchange something. Before I went to the store, I had been approved for a certain $$ amount. When I was called and told I was approved they wanted me to make an appointment to come in, because they were running a 'Memorial Day Sale' and they were going to be busy. I did not make an appointment. Went to the store on Saturday. It took about 15 minutes for someone to offer to help me. I told him I had an approval, he had to check it out and then came back to tell me yes, I was approved for $2050.00. Anyway- I was wanting a couch. I did find a couch and recliner that I liked. I was told that they could deliver it the next day. I told the salesman to go ahead and do the paperwork. He had to have the 'finance department' do the paperwork and then I would be told what the details were. After about 20 minutes, the lady in the finance department came to me with the details. First thing she asked was if I knew anything about Conn's and I said no. She proceeded to tell me that they don't do a credit check and get the approval through a secondary source. Then, she explained that they were a 'lease to buy' and I needed a $100 down payment. I told her I wasn't interested in doing that and no one had explained this to me in the beginning. We didn't even get to the point of discussing monthly payments or interest. I realize that my credit isn't very good, and I did expect that I would have a high interest rate. I wasted over an hour of my time at that store only to find out it was lease to buy. They just prey on people with bad credit. At least I was aware enough to steer clear of this situation. DO NOT SHOP HERE! I'm sure someone else has reviewed this way but this company lives by their name. When my furniture was delivered the movers scratched my dresser, I did not notice until they left after a quick inspection. I called CONNS within 10 minutes and told them I just noticed, they first told me they were not going to do anything because I signed off on the furniture, I then was transferred to two pages of different people and over a month long process to come to the conclusion that corporate was reviewing my dispute and would get back to me. No one ever called back and I still have my scratched dresser, during all of the back and forth calls, a compensation of $180 was offered to me to keep the dresser, I told them I was still waiting to hear back from corporate, I wanted a new dresser not money off. After I realized nothing had been done and I was nearing paying off the furniture I called corporate for my compensation, they are saying it has been too long and they are not giving it to me. This was on of the most draining experiences of my life after buying a $4,000 bedroom suit to come to me scratched and the company not even carrying the paint to match my furniture. Oh Conn's... where do I start ?? My sales guy was GREAT... that is about it . They couldn't deliver the day that was decided on in store (my husband and I were off work that day and that's the day that we decided on) so I get a call before they close stating that day had been filled and it had to be the next day... fine , that's cool. We reschedule and it was supposed to be delivered between 3:30-6:30. I get a call AT 6:40 stating they were running late. We have dinner plans this evening and had to cancel to cater to Conn's . Once again. They show up and bring in my bed and dresser and start to leave . I was supposed to have 3 other pieces of furniture . They search the truck and it's magically there . They tell me the news that one nightstand is damaged . A huge chunk taken out of the top. I call customer service , which is a joke , and she says to accept delivery of this nightstand and they will send one out on Friday (This was a Wed) . I wait until Saturday and call the store . I'm told I will receive a call back on Sunday. No call back... I call on Monday and get the run around. They sent out an email survey and I give all 1 Stars for delivery and magically someone calls me . He says they will do whatever to get this rectified . A manager calls from the store and says "I don't handle sales , I was just told to call , I don't know what's going on" he then offers me a scratched FLOOR MODEL. For the same price as new ! I decline this offer. They tell me they don't make my bedroom set anymore that I JUST bought 2 weeks ago now . I ask for a credit to my account for the nightstand and I will just keep it damaged . He states that another manager will call me yesterday . I still heard nothing . Conn's just shows up at my door to PICK UP the damaged nightstand with nothing to replace it . What a JOKE . I called the store AGAIN and talked with Isaac. He states I will hear from him today with a solution . Is it that hard to just credit me for the nightstand YOU DAMAGED. I will NEVER recommend Conn's or do business with them again cause that's all they are . Con-artists . Oh , P.S. they were trying to put my whole bedroom set together with HAND TOOLS . I offered them my drill and it got done much faster . No wonder they were running so behind . What a damn joke . read more

I had the worst experience in my life at Conn's on 52nd in Arvada! It took me 3 visits to get approved after being told to bring this and that to prove my income. I was finally approved for $2000.00 like I had asked for. The sales rep was cashing me out when the approval came up as (needs more verification). He looked at me and said I don't understand and I'll be right back. After telling me I was ready to buy and checking out they said they wanted my bank statements! I purchased a $40,000.00 truck and never once did they ask for a bank statement! I was so pissed off I went to the round guy in the white shirt (manager) who said he tried! BS! After spending 7hrs or more and 3 trips to the store I left and I will never go back! I walked over to Sam's club and walked out with the same TV for a little less and no BS! read more

I purchased a tv and a vacuum a week ago. I used the vacuum three times and it broke, so I returned it back to Conn's and they said I needed to take it to the manufacturer because I did not purchase a warranty. Which was never offered to me at the time of purchase. I will never purchase from this store again. read more

Great store, lots of electronics and furniture. Nice thing is that they finance most people. I stopped in the store last Saturday and found a 21.5" Apple imac on sale. Lakola, the sales person that helped me and the Manager, Jorge, were fantastic. They were both professional, very helpful and friendly. I'll be back to buy more items in the future. read more

Worst experience. DO NOT GO HERE. I went to this location to buy a TV and the people that work at this location are completely untrustworthy and will lie to you in order to sell you merchandise. Josh, the initial sales person I worked with seemed like a nice guy but flat out lied to me about the return policy in order to get a sale. I simply needed a new TV because the TV mount I bought didn't hold the new TV, which I discussed with Josh at length when I first bought the TV and he said, "As long as you return the TV here and get a new one, then we'll work with you man"). When I went back to exchange my TV and simply get a TV that was a bit smaller (keep in mind, I told them I would pay for a restocking fee) I confronted Josh, his face turned COMPLETELY red and he walked away with guilt. On top of this, the manager (Justin) was a joke. I simply tried discussing the issue I was having and he cut me off and his exact words were, "read the signs on our exchange policy, not my problem." He then simply walked away! First, who has a 15 day return policy. Second, all I expect from someone in a management position is the decency to try and resolve the issue. Just try! Had Justin put any effort into helping me feel like he actually cared, I would have understood that it was a "company policy" and continued to shop at Conn's for other needed items for my new home. Instead, not only will i never shop at another Conn's as long as I live, but I will also make an effort to have my friends, family, and strangers never go into this store. read more
