Jessie (Cust. service rep) called the morning of the work to let me know who was coming out and an estimated arrival time. Pleasant and professional, so refreshing to encounter. When the electrician arrived, he introduced himself (Dan) with a big smile, he put on his protective booties(raining outside) and started off with explaining the company background. Good information to know. I let him know why I picked their company, etc and he answered any and all questions that me and my dad had regarding the work. We needed a couple outlets put in, got a whole house power surge protector and a light switch updated. Dan gave us the cost, estimated time it would take to complete it and once approved, he got right to it. Once he was done, he explained everything and made sure we were good with this work. He actually found some issues as he was working, but he explained them and gave us his recommendation. Excellent work for a VERY reasonable price. We are over the moon with our new, SAFE, updated outlets and whole house surge protector. We will be using them again! We recommend this company!!!

I recently had a terrible experience when the buyer's agent brought Kinney into a house sale to…read morecheck the electrical system. The electrical system had passed the home inspection but the buyers were anxious about it. I also had my electrician check it for peace of mind. Both verified it was solid and not overloaded and had extra capacity. My father had also been an electrical engineer and knew more than a little about electrical systems. Kinney came in with 2 electricians (one appeared to be in training). They proceeded to tear apart the panel. They were touching wires and circuits and when they went to put the front panel back on were jostling the box and banging on it. I told them to stop several times because I was uncomfortable with the way they were treating the system. They ignored me and kept at it. I then had to have my electrician come out, at my own expense, to recheck that nothing had been disconnected. He never had to bang at the box or jostle it to replace the front panel. They were highly unprofessional in that they distorted the facts and tried to damage the box in order to drum up a $2200 sale. It was obvious, from the theatrics I witnessed, that it was a set up with the real estate agent. They also quoted about $700 over what other electricians said it would cost to upgrade. I distrust them and personally would never do business with them!

He arrived on time for the estimate and advised that he…read morewould send me a quote by the end of the day and could begin the work in "a couple of days". He texted with some follow-up questions, but then said that he should be able to begin working in two to three days. I replied that two would be much better and asked if he could make it two, not three. He texted with some other questions, but didn't respond about starting. I asked again. No answer. I asked again. No answer. Nor did I get the quote. I called the next day, left a VM, and never heard back. Very, very dissatisfied. Some reply, even to say he couldn't take the job, would have been preferable to complete radio silence. Not to mention just plain polite. He lost a repeat customer.
