The wait staff was working very hard! The young lady taking and bringing order was working very hard and we appreciated her. She had a hand held tablet she was able to take orders with quickly. Great tool for the staff. Another Positive was the popcorn and of course the ball game was great! The adults and kids alike had fun. Manager note. Understand times are hard but the details was what brought the number down to 4 vice 5 stars. Mostly because The food that was provided to the Suites, needs to be stepped up a bit. The food wasn't warm. Imagine room temp hotdogs, chicken strips and French fries being served to guests that purchased 2 suites. Also the vegetable tray didn't come out with ranch dressing so I asked about it and they made due with what the had. They put it in a bowl with a ladle. The other thing that bothered me was the electrical within the elevator. Screws missing and open holes. We had quite a few little kids in our group riding up to the suites and it would have only taken one of them to stick their little fingers in and zap.

There are 2 different lines, 1 for essential workers, priority and then a standard community line. The staff comes to your window before you go in and radio in the information of those testing with your ID. If you have an appt. they have your information in the system and print out the info on your vile. When it is your turn, you drive into the tent and the staff comes to your window to do the test once you confirm the information on the vile is correct (name, and D.O.B.). They are friendly and the process is quick, so it's not a horrible experience. If needed, they have paperwork to hand you to review the process and information. You don't have to touch anything, just roll your window down and they do the swabbing in your nose and put the swab in a vile and into a separate individual plastic bag for processing. Once you're done, they open the door and you can drive out of the tent. Your results come later via the contact information you provided.

I'm going to admit something that will probably get me killed. I don't like baseball. Since my…read moredays in this town may now be limited I will begin my goodbyes and tell you about a sport I *do* like, lacrosse. Back home we used to watch Colorado's professional lacrosse team, Mammoth, and enjoy the sheer ridiculous spectacle that is an NLL game. So. When I heard that Boston was getting a professional team I was psyched. Unfortch that was 2008 and there was a player strike so alas, no games. Waah Waah. Luckily, new year, new team. Welcome 2009 and the inaugural season of the Boston Blazers. There are a few things to know about NLL games: The tickets are CHEAP. They start at $13, no joke. Screw those tickets though, drop the additional $10 and get down near the floor. The arena (The Garden) is oddly empty since people aren't huge lacrosse fans and Boston hasn't quite caught on that there's another team to be maniacal about. Now, this doesn't mean people aren't taking their shirts off and screaming at the ref, cause they are. Also, you might see people in Spiderman masks. I don't get it either. BUT if you hate packed arenas, this is a game for you. The game is *violent*. Like hockey used to be before they softened it up for "safety" and "players health". Bah. The players beat each other with sticks, fists, and whatever is nearby. The shove one another in to the glass with an amazingly satisfying THUNK and only wear padding on the upper half of their bodies (well, presumably a cup but whatevs). So yeah, these games are off the hook. The Blazers thus far have a pretty good record especially for a freshman team. They won the game we saw with two points in the last 10 seconds of the game. The winning point within .5 seconds. Awesome. They also have dancers, The Sparks, if that's your gig and for the kiddies a creepy mascot Scorch. Something for everyone. Hopefully more people will get on board so that they stick around this time. Just not enough to raise ticket prices to ridiculous levels.

FIRED UP! I've…read morebeen to a few Blazers games and I am now a fan. Truth be told, I've never been into lacrosse, but I am now hooked. Indoor Lacrosse is too fun to pass up and this is the first year the Blazers are playing at the Garden. What started as taking advantage of sweet ticket deals to attend a sports game has turned into a love of this team. The Blazer games at the Garden are outstanding. The sport is quick like hockey, only more fighting! Yes! And they play music the whole time, even through game play! Woo! And everyone seems to be having such a great time! Awesome! And the team is pretty good! Score! Captain Dan Dawson is leading his team, along with a great goalie (NICE SAVE, COSMO!). Don't write off lacrosse just because it's Celtic and Bruin season...stick around for Boston's newest team!

Here it is, folks. You're ONLY professional sports team in New Haven. What excitement! I mean, who…read morewould want to see top-level minor league talent which is affiliated with local major league teams when we can spend $10 to watch a bunch of unaffiliated, "if I just took a few months to practice I'm pretty sure I could make this team," baseball players who never made it past single A ball? Sweet! In all seriousness, if you're going to a Cutters game to actually watch baseball, I suggest you get a few friends together and go play tennis ball home run derby in the park, because it will be about as entertaining. There is one redeeming quality, however, to going to Cutters games... Thirsty Thursday. Every Thursday home game, the Cutters offer $1 beers ($2 if you get the larger size). It's a great excuse to be outside and throw back a few cold ones. Plus, there is actually baseball being played, so if the Cutters actually score a run or something, you can actually have something to cheer about. Still, it's a little hard to get into it when it's like New Haven versus the Brockton Rox. I mean... please. At least the Bridgeport Bluefish play in an independent league which is full of ex-major leaguers, so you can at least have fun going there and heckling the washed up players whose baseball cards you used to collect. Ultimately, the Cutters would actually be fun if there were people at the games, which kind of makes them a little lame. So it's not necessarily just the lack of quality baseball that hurts. If there were a couple thousand people in the stands, at least we could pretend like New Haven knew they still had a baseball team.
