Great to be back at Gampel. My first home game of the year. Go Huskies! $12 for parking?!!! I'd like to know if this is UConn or LAZ Parking taking advantage of the fans. The newly remodeled dome is holding up well and the new Rec center across the street is coming along quickly. Chevy was in the building fixing away a nice UCONN Husky t-shirt for filing out a survey and the regular team poster with schedule was there for the taking. The food offerings and way it is prepared and served have a long way to go to come up to typical venue standards. It's quite disappointing. Much of it probably has to do with this old venue and the lack of food service supporting equipment, but having Bear's with a pop up helps ease the hunger pangs. The problem is that the lines are so long for the one little stand that they run out of food early. They are also limited in what they can offer due to space issues. Back to the game... After a slow start and a support from the bench, the woman huskies won fairly easily. Already looking forward to the next game.

As UConn alumni it's tough to be partial when reviewing Gampel Pavilion. It's the site of such great basketball memories for over 20+ years for me that I have to leave it 5 stars. First off there is no bad seat in the arena. I've been in the last row of the student section cheering on the Huskies & had an awesome view of the court. Now that I'm older the student section isn't an option but wherever I've been seated has been great. There have been upgrades to the area since I was a student. My favorite is the Huskies of Honor & the history plaques that adorn the walls around the arena. Take some time to brush up on your Huskies history next time you're there. My last visit was for the retirement of Ray Allen's number 34. Such a great ceremony! There were a few t-shirt giveaways & fun stuff for the kids to entertain during timeouts. If you're a UConn basketball I'm sure you'd agree that Gampel is 5 starts & it's better than a lot of other college basketball facilities I've been to over the years!

This was a great arena, with some great history. UCONN will always be a powerhouse in NCAA basketball. The pavilion is just well laid out and designed. There is not one bad seat in this entire arena. I got a ticket last minute for $2 in the upper section near the top. I was able to see the entire game with no obstruction to my view. Snacks like most arenas were overpriced, but your options are limited. The only part I didn't agree with was charging for parking. This cost $12 which was $10more than my actual ticket. Overall, great experience, I will be back for a women's game sometime soon!

I want people to know what these people did to me…read more I came to UConn February 2024 for a routine colonoscopy. I had a long history of colon problems and did this every 5 years. When the procedure was done, I was told I was in great shape and didn't need to come back for 10. Well, 90 days later I was back in their er with abdominal pain. I was given a dose of strong pain meds and when it wore off I was told to leave. I asked what I was to do when the pain returned and was told I was to just go. I have no recall of seeing a doctor that night. 30 days later I was at Manchester memorial complains of the same problem. They did a ct scan and told me that half my colon was infected. I went to icu and was on strong antibiotics for about 30 days. The antibiotics failed to correct the issue and , after 30 days I was transferred to Hartford hospital where my large intestine was removed . I now have a permanent ileostomy. When I complained about this, John Dempsey listened, at first, then my calls went largely unanswered. My life will never be the same. I have diet restrictions, and the starts to kidney disease, "unfortunate side effects ". I will tell my story to anyone who wants to hear it. This hospital is a joke and should be avoided.

Love this drive in have been going for about 3 or 4 years now ever since I found out about them…read more Besides the fact that half of the public doesn't know how to follow directions even when they post it before you buy tickets online and as you drive in they tell you where and how to park / headlights being off etc. there are always people who clearly lack respect and brain cells. The people who run and work there are always super nice and helpful. The only thing that kinda sucks is screen 3 radio tends to always have white noise background static no matter where you're parked, never had an issue with the other screens and stations. It's not bad enough to make me not want to see a movie but to some It may be distracting or annoying other then that it's still all around a great time

They do take them all morning from 100's of vendors who set-up but refuse the customers who vendors rely on and average person from doing so. I have wasted my time so often each year asking why! Good Money Management is consider important, obviously they do not know good business practices and it should be noted to the consumer. Every regular vendor takes $20 bills when they can; just not the DRIVE-INN. Great place to shop though!
