While it seems to be customary to wait for any doctor these days I actually like this doctor and staff so it makes the wait slightly less painful. Dr. Bloom is definitely one of the best doctors I've had the pleasure of seeing for my issues and I've met some real doozies. He made me feel comfortable, listened to, and genuinely cared about. He has a good sense of humor which makes for a good bedside manner. Now keep in mind I haven't seen him in over 3 years and yet he knew me right away. I will continue to see Dr. Bloom for as long as medically necessary; and for as long as I'm in CT, you should to!

And a few even had a great sense of humor! I had a few concerns about the procedure and my medication, and they were addressed immediately and efficiently. When I arrived on the day of the procedure, each person I spoke with took the time to explain everything I needed to know and answered every one of my questions, always treating me with the utmost kindness and respect. I have absolutely no qualms about recommending this group to anyone who needs the services they provide. They were wonderful!

I prerequested a non sedated procedure.Under way he seemed to blame every thing on a bad prep until I succumbed to their insessant demands for sedation on the table and the pain got to much.. If he had been skillful enough no sedation is usually nessacary. European Doctors rarely request expensive sedation. No the guy is suggesting a 2 year followup at age 67! I have continued to receive bills from this office all because they will not update my record to reflect the correct referring provider. If that isn't enough, after having an ultrasound done the medical asst insisted that they had not received results almost a week later when the facility assured me that they were completed and faxed the same day I had it done. The final nail in the coffin occurred when I found out I was expecting and a physician asst by the name of Stephanie asked rather callously,"So you are going to keep the baby?!" Someone should re coach every single member of this staff on the correct way to run a medical practice. I'm so glad I don't go there any longer. I would not recommend him.

His demeanor is respectful and firm, while being very thorough in his work. The practice has two locations, both of which are easily accessible by Rt. 15 and have ample parking. The large waiting room and super clean exam rooms show that the doctor pays attention to patient comfort. He also has a good turn around time for patient appointments, test results, prescriptions, and scheduling procedures.

I appreciate that his office has hours that are flexible and various locations. I find his office to be one of the easiest doctors offices to deal with for questions, appointments, refills or anything. It's nice to feel appreciated from the moment I pick up the phone to when I leave. I highly recommend visiting if you have a GI issue because he is a knowledgable, reliable, respectful doctor and his whole practice demonstrates the same values.

I have been a patient of this office for over 25 years. I was initially a patient of Dr. Atlas who…read morewas the Best! However, since he retired I have been transferred to at least 4 different medical providers. I've had no complaints until recently because I usually only visit this office once a year. The current front desk staff(Marisol and the new heavy set one with a terrible attitude) always seem to be miserable. I dread calling the office because I know I will most likely be greeted rudely and made to feel as though I am a burden. Questions are not encouraged and when I've sought out further clarification the response I've received was one of annoyance. Any requests for a phone call with my provider have always been declined and my only option has been to schedule an appointment even if an appointment was not necessary. It seems that this practice is money driven and if they do not feel your medical concern is a priority, they make it very clear by their lack of patience with you. It's too bad that the lack of customer service and rude front desk staff who represent this practice have such a negative impact that one would walk away from 25 years of care for a new provider who is welcoming and attentive. Big difference! I hate to say it but I think the fact that this practice primarily serves patients from lower socio-economic backgrounds impacts the quality of care provided and the general attitude of superiority and disregard for patient care, which can be seen in their lack of respect for even basic human interaction. I also think that they are so used to treating patients with Husky insurance, that they are not sensitive to the financial needs of patients with co-payments and/or deductibles who might not be so eager to be seen when a solution may not require an office visit. Mona Chiurillo, APRN has been pleasant and helpful. She's definitely an asset. Also, her MA is always very kind, friendly and helpful. Unless you have no other choice, I wouldn't recommend this practice!
