Edit of review on 11/21- Quenita Todd, the Patient Relations Manager who replied to my review took my call and made sure my results were read that day. She was apologetic and very helful in getting things resolved. Based on my experience with her I would give them another chance. She made sure to follow up several times as well. Thank you Quenita!

Very unprofessional business practices. Raleigh Radiology- Clayton, NC performed and MRI and over a…read moremonth later had not filed a claim with my insurance company. A call to their third party billing company in Indianapolis Indiana revealed their billing department had no record of me, my MRI, and no claim filed nor bill generated. They emailed a bill for $1470.00 one day later, after business hours on a Friday night. A call to their billing office the following Monday resulted in their telling me they filed a claim with my insurance company the date of the MRI a month earlier. This was untrue and verified by BCBS customer service. I called their local Raleigh NC office number and asked to speak with the practice manager. They disconnected the call. I have filed an official complaint with Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC. I have filed a complaint of the Raleigh Radiology website. I have filed a complaint with the Chamber of Commerce website for their Clayton, NC site. I have no problem with scheduling, completing the MRI and timely results. It is terrible that their billing practices are so poor and unprofessional. I do not recommend Raleigh Radiology. Their customer service response is equally unprofessional. There is no way to reach a Raleigh based person in charge of this practice.

She charged…read moreme because she wrote a script out for BP med I have been on for 10 years ( I could have had CVS call it in) , we discussed my A1C from my yearly blood work, and because she told me that my Stye could take two weeks to get over (never touched or looked at my Stye). I had made a six month follow up appointment but canceled it due to changing doctors. Dr McGill refused to fill my BP meds until I called to find out why. She allowed me to do without my meds because she wanted me to come in for an appointment. The ethical thing to do would have been to fill for a week then have her nurse call and tell me I needed an appointment. Instead she allowed me to run out of meds that have worked for 10 years. What about her oath to do no harm?

Our son absolutely adores his Doctor here. Doctor "Megan" Wester. He has been going here for 10…read moreyears and is now 17 years old. She listens to him and they banter back and forth which makes him all to willing to open up and share with her. She asks the hard questions that teens do not like to talk about and because of their relationship he is opened and honest with her which I believe is important in pediatric care. She takes her time when we are in her office and we never feel rushed or like she is in a hurry.

Let's face it, no woman wants to get her boobs squished, but it's necessary and we all have to go through it, so might as well go where they couldn't be nicer, helpful and professional. Receptionist was flat-out fabulous. Warm, friendly, made me feel personally welcome. Identified herself, and guided me through the necessary paperwork quickly and efficiently. Honestly I don't believe I've ever had such a warm receptionist at a medical office! Wait time to go on to the next step was mere minutes. Was shown to a dressing cubicle and given easy-to-follow instructions. Wait time for the actual mammogram was again very short. The procedure itself was the usual, turn this way, lift your arm this way, squish squish, hold your breath and repeat with a different angle. My Professional Gal was just that, guiding me through it as quickly and painlessly as possible. Within a week I had my results. Could not have had a better experience.

I've been to the Wake Radiology office in Wakefield several times. Twice for MRI tests and once for…read morethe CT scan. The office is very convenient in the UNC Rex Wakefield building on the first floor. As the campus is billed as a hospital, Wake Radiology adds on a hospital charge for insurance. The MRI machine is a mobile unit so you are taken outside to get to it but it is right outside the door. They have a room for you to change and a locker to store your things and provide you with a key. My CT scan did not require changing just verified that I didn't have metal on me. The machine was open and not closed and the procedure was quiet and very fast unlike my MRIs. Check in is always easy here. The technicians for all the procedures has been friendly. The radiologists are also very fast. My test was at 8am and my doctor called with the results at 10:45am. The official report was done at 9:08am.

They continually jabbered on and on to each other, not caring about the patient in their care. They never put anything to lay on, on the hard cold uncovered table which caused my back to hurt. I had to ASK for something to cover the cold MRI table and when I did I was told to calm down! I felt attacked. This was THE WORST and MOST AWFUL health care experience I've EVER had. The techs together were moving my injured body part around without ever asking me if it hurt, which it DID!! They both hurt me more than once and at the end of the MRI, one of the techs pulled my hair! I was injured three times by these complete idiot unprofessional and uncaring techs!!! WakeMed should be ashamed they have these kind of healthcare workers!!! I will NEVER go back there and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS facility!! I have told my family and friends about this awful experience and none of them will be going there either. Shame on WakeMed Radiology!!!

My doctor recommended an MRI due to some polyps so he referred me here. It was not cheap, even with…read moreinsurance, but at the time I was able to pay the deductible with no problem. The office is in a rather nondescript building in South Durham. I was a little bit surprised that the MRI machine is actually outside the main building in a trailer; they even lifted me up like I was on a loading dock. The staff were polite and the procedure went well, although I never got notification of my results (had to call my doctor's office and bug them).

The front desk staff were fussing about not getting paid for their snow day & having to use their PTO from the time I walked in until the time I was taken in the back. I'd be frustrated too, BUT I wouldn't be talking about all that in front of patients. The check in lady wasn't rude or anything. She was just distracted a little bit. Julie was my mammography tech & she came to get me promptly at my scheduled time. She was not rude or anything, but you could tell she was just ready to get it over with. I mean, I'm the one who would be uncomfortable, so that should've been MY attitude. Instead, I was the friendly one. But anyway... She took me back to this changing room with lockers in it. There were no wipes or deodorant in there as is in every other mammogram office I've EVER been to. She told me to put their top on & open the curtain when I was ready, and I did. She came to get me...verified my info...asked me about breast issues...& got started. She never asked me if I had on any deodorant. I guess they don't care here. I went through the process, she reviewed the films, and she took me back to the changing room. From there, she walked me out the back door & told me that my results would be in MyChart or they'd call me if there were any concerns. Ummm, ok. The process was quick, BUT I prefer the Cary office for their excellent customer service, professionalism, and the way that they have everything in place for their mammogram patients. This office will be my last resort in the future.

I will not be returning! ETA: i'm 37 weeks pregnant and they have taken me off the schedule without even calling me to let me know. Leave me no time to find another chiropractor before delivering this baby. They can say all they want their cell phone policies outline, but here's the thing they don't enforce it with anybody else and everybody else is having conversations. What's the difference between me talking to the person in the chair beside me and the person on the phone that's having an emotional breakdown that I just said I'll call you back. Also they are now hiding reviews an adding 5 star reviews to make their numbers stay high. Honestly, I guess there's not much I can do about this, but this practice is sleazy, but want to present themselves as they are so much better than everyone else when in all reality, they are just a bunch of scammers.
