I love coffee and I adore a great neighborhood coffee shop. I stepped into Conjure Coffee this morning to have a look around. Aesthetically, this is one of the loveliest coffee shops I've ever been in. They offer lots of clean white linear looks. The paint, the counter accessories, the large center table and chairs. It's really beautiful, as is the secondary room off to the side with the large green plants. It's such a great looking space. I loved the entire look of the shop. Parking is tight, it's best to back in to make getting out easy. The staff: I have no accurate feel or assessment of the staff. They were rather busy this morning and banal conversation wasn't on the list of things they were engaging in. This coffee shop appears to be tailor made for a young, hip crowd. I love the scenery. I just think I'm aged out of the vibe. I recommend trying it - come early to get a great spot. This place fills up pretty quickly. I choose a 3 star rating due to my own experience. It's a beautiful place, I love the product, I just didn't feel comfortable. I'm learning that customer service, content, context, and comfort are all equally important. read more

Awesome coffee shop! There wasn't as much drinks on the menu up on the wall from what I saw but they had a pretty good variety. Ended up getting just a basic matcha latte. I do want to try one of their drinks that has lavender in it the next time I go. I also ordered a blueberry danish. This coupled with the matcha latte was a great combo. They also offer to heat up your pastry if you would like. What I thought was pretty cool was even though I didn't have the pastry warmed up, the plate that they put it on was warm! The staff seem to be very nice people. They try to strike up some conversation and seem to know their regulars. They are also very patient. I think one of the things that makes Conjure stand out is that the place is pretty large for a coffee shop. From the outside it looks like a small cafe but you walk inside and the place is large! They also have beautiful art all over the walls. Honestly a great place to go if you're feeling creative or need to get some work done. read more

This coffee shop is on the newer side to Fort Wayne. I'm not a coffee person but I know people who love their coffee. They just started offering food too, which I have not tried but hope to in the future. I came here this past weekend to get a chai tea latte and it was just alright. A little plain and didn't have much taste. However, the atmosphere and vibe of the whole place is quiet and quaint. Perfect for lazy Sundays or a good place to catch up with friends. The only downside is there isn't much parking. They have 2 small lots available. read more

Conjure coffee has been a favorite for the past few years but once I got put on a super strict diet related to some food sensitivities and pregnancy I appreciate them so much more!!!! I called in with a ridiculous list of allergens and they created a meal totally off the menu for me that was absolutely delicious!!! They also made me feel like a human and not a hassle. I've heard that this is the best coffee in Indiana, and I can believe it. As a non-coffee-expert, I can't comment on particulars, but the things I've gotten here have been delicious every time. I don't normally splurge on coffee (I just make it at home or get dollar coffee from the machines at work), and I scoff at $5 cups of fancy coffee... but I'm happy to give my money to a great local place like Conjure every now and then. You get perfectly made coffee AND you get to hang out in the bright, open, happy atmosphere. I've been very productive there. I like that there's a mix of little tables and big kitchen/living-room sized tables and multiple rooms. Beware: It's hipster-y to the extreme (you will see many beanies, or beards-&-beanies, or beard-beanie-scarf combos), so if that bothers you, you might not want to come. Its vibe is very different from Firefly's, which seems to have a more mixed clientele. I'm worried about what COVID19 has done to Conjure and hope they're alright! I'm a latte with skim milk kind of a person. No frills, no sweetener, maybe cream instead of milk on an adventurous day. That is until I had the Cafe Miel at Conjure Coffee. So delicious with subtle flavors of spices and local honey that enhances but doesn't mask the coffee. (I had them put about a third less of the honey they typically use, FYI). Frankly, everything I've tried here has been good - they know their coffee, they roast in house and they are happy to talk about their craft. Add funky, artsy decor, loads of natural light, and plenty of seating and it's a winning combination. The only downside is the limited parking, but this place is worth scouting out a parking spot. read more

Have you ever lived in a neighborhood where there is a commercial location that never seems to make it? Y'know, a storefront that was six different stores and two pizza shops within 5 years, and none of them managed to succeed? Well, this Conjure Coffee location is one of those businesses, so, naturally, I was curious to visit. I have visited both locations, and this one is definitely my favorite. It is open and airy and full of light. On my first visit, I ordered a cold vanilla latte with almond milk, and it was delicious! I visited early on a Sunday morning, and the crowd was mostly cyclists and walkers, looking for some refreshment. In front of the shop are tables with umbrellas and bike parking. In back, there's a small parking lot, and inside, Conjure has tables for work, conversation, etc. Tables, floors, and windows sparkle. Now, I walk over to Conjure at least once a week. I think the corner of Columbia Ave and St Joseph Blvd has finally found a winner! read more

Eclectically decorated yet classy looking new coffee shop in FW. Not far from downtown. Location is a little odd but it's worth the effort to find. Ordered an Americano with lavender syrup (they make their own) and it was darn near perfect. Staff is very friendly. Love the water service they have available at the front of the shop. read more

Disclaimer: this is my favorite place to get coffee in town (however it's not my favorite place to hang). If you feel 100% comfortable in bougie coffee shops you should be fine. Otherwise don't bother. In the past week I've repeatedly witnessed a barista make an issue out of helping customers get cream and sugar into their coffees. When asked about whether there is cream and sugar available this barista will point customers to the self help cream/sugar/extra water station to help themselves. (Pretty harmless, most people understand this coffee shop norm). Ok, but these customers want her to help them out a little bit and literally just throw a little cream and sugar in there. This barista gets visibly annoyed to concede to personally help put cream/sugar in the customer's coffee (while they're at the front counter) and makes the customer visibly confused and agitated. (I'm lucky enough to drink black coffee, I guess?). Ok, so it's fine and all to have a self help station, and it's fine to direct customers to help themselves, although in both instances I have been the only person waiting in line, so what's the problem with making sure this customer feels good about their coffee before rushing them through so you can help the ONE other customer in line! If you don't want to serve customers, maybe your calling is somewhere other than being a barista WHERE ITS YOUR JOB, YO. To me these instances make me feel disappointed in Conjure. I don't understand how a small local coffee shop (smack dab in the middle of Mid West Hoosierville) can (at least be represented by this employee in these situations that make it seem like they) think they're too good for some people who maybe just don't understand the concept of a self help cream/sugar/water station thing or maybe just have a higher expectation of customer service. read more

Came to Ft. Wayne for a Christmas luncheon. Needed coffee after and decided to come downtown. Found this place on maps and headed over. Almost did not stop and went back to the other place not seeing an easy parking space. We had a coffee, an espresso and a pastry. All outstanding. The shop is in my neighborhood and I would gladly make a stop here a daily if they were actually open before 8 am (when I and many people are already at work), or on Sundays. I was super excited to visit Conjure Coffee after seeing the place online (and hearing about it from friends). The place is light and airy (lots of natural light) which makes it great for studying, browsing the internet, casual conversation, staying awake, etc! There are also some artistic uses of wood. Conjure is a great coffee shop to come study at, to catch up with friends or to grab a coffee and go. The ambiance is clean and simple yet unique and artsy. This places is beautifully, eclecticly decorated. With mixtures of old and new. They roast and brew their coffee, so far the best coffee in Fort Wayne. Their fresh brewed tea is wonderful. Their staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and how to make the product. The staff are very curteous. I am so impressed with this place. I was excited to try this place out for a few reasons. One being that I read about it in the newspaper, two that it's a local business and I love supporting local business' and three it's downtown and they do have patio seating now. Another positive is the local artwork they have hanging on the interior walls and the awesome decor and woodwork that went into the design. It's fresh clean and spotless. Ok I have to admit reading all the reviews and the local newspaper piece I was expecting customer service to be much different that what we received. First, we called ahead of time to see if they are pet friendly. Not o oh did they not answer the phone but didn't answer until I called o the fourth try. The background noise was so loud I could barely hear the man on the other end. They are pet friendly to some extent; you can walk your pet inside to order but then must immediately go outside to drink or eat your items. Ok I can handle that and appreciate that they allow this. Second, I was totally thrown off guard when the woman behind the counter was border Iine B****y. She was rude. And it was apparent she didn't care for the dog on the leash sitting next to me either. I even asked again if it was ok to order hen sit outside with our options when the man behind her piped up yes it was. The look on her face said a million words that she didn't agree with his answer. When asked if there were refills on the drip coffee her answer was yes so when I proceeded to order one she handed me the half filled cup and said there, you get one refill. Ok well that was news to me. But don't worry one refill was way to many when I tasted their coffee. Wow!!! Talk about bitter strong. I needed to add cream to cut the bitterness down by a little. I don't use cream usually as I like my coffee bold and black but this was downright bitter. And therefore wouldn't return for another cup. The peach fritter was decent but for almost $5 I'll pass next time on the pastries too. For coffee and a pastry I paid $8 plus tax. So expect it to be a little more than other places. I love the location and the other pros but the service really left a chip on my shoulder and the coffee....well left a sour taste in my mouth. However, this is just my opinion and I encourage others to try it out. They do serve food and have amazing indoor seating. They also have a room where they will be roasting their beans in house. I stopped at this place for the first time and was very impressed. I'm a huge coffee fan, so this place was right up my alley. The owner talked to us for awhile as we were in line about the coffee they currently had and helped us determine what kind was best for our particular tastes. We had the Ardi (Ethiopia) and loved it. I especially loved that the coffee is pourover and made to order. We did have a bit of a wait, but there were quite a few people and pourover's aren't super quick. The owner spoke with us and apologized; we were very happy with the experience overall and would be back in a heart beat. They also sell their coffee and we picked up a bag to take home. Haven't tried that blend yet (it's a Bali Vintage), but we're definitely looking forward to it.
