Congo River Miniature Golf course doesn't have the typical trick shots, windmills like other mini golf courses, however the creative putting holes were still challenging and a lot of fun. They also did a nice job of decorating it with the safari theme throughout. All of the holes were attainable and the course was kept pretty clean. Be prepared to get your steps in by going up and down a lot of stairs as you work through the mountain. The bathroom was clean. There also is a small arcade and vending machines. Overall a fun family outing when the weather is good. Make sure to go to the website to get the extra $1 off your entrance fee.

A consistently fun and well maintained course that isn't too difficult to play on for beginners like myself, with nice and attractive features like a waterfall, bridge, stairs, and other fun terrain features that make for great photo opportunities as well as a way to escape the feeling of being in the Chicago suburbs for a very reasonable price. Parking isn't too difficult here and there's plenty of great food options nearby. The staff is also friendly, and the spacing feels fairly good between the different holes. Definitely worth a visit if you live in the area and are looking for something fun to do when the weather is nice outside.

This is a fun outdoor mini golf course for everyone. This is a fun spot for a family night out, date night, double date night etc. I was here with a group of 4 (double date) and it was a great time. It took us about an hour and 15 mins to complete 18 holes. We went to the course on the right. There are some challenging holes that kept this outing pretty exciting! There is a small arcade and some tables to hang out at after you're done with mini golf. I did not see a concession stand for food and drinks but I did see a vending machine for drinks. I've been here several times and continue to enjoy it. You don't necessarily have much interaction with the staff however they are there for checking in and getting your clubs .

Had a blast w my sister and nephews! We took a few of his friends and played the course. It was a fun and affordable reward for my nephew for his good behavior all summer so far. I know money is tight for most people, it is for me, but being able to take my nephew and his friends for under $60 on a fun filled adventure was priceless. They had 2 course and 18 holes each. The waterfall was cool and different. The place was clean, well run, and the employees were friendly and helpful.

In the summer of 2011 an intense game of Putt putt went down between 4 old buddies. (I won)

It's late July 2011 On a blazing hot day in Hoffman estates the giant suburb of Chicago. 4 friends navigate the Congo River in an epic battle of miniature golf. Only one will prevail. who will it be? (It was me). Congo River miniature gold is a well cool and imaginative monsters golf course that proved to be challenging and fun. Back in 2011 me and 3 buddies went there for a showdown when we was in town for the fedor vs Henderson strike force fights. We had a blast. Maybe the most fun I've ever had a mind tire golf course. I'd highly recommend this course for anyone who likes putt putt (mini golf) or has children and just looking for a fun time. If I ever find myself in this suburb of chicago again I'll absolutely stop in again. Great times and memories to be made!

My husband and I met some friends at Congo River Miniature Golf to play some mini golf. When we arrived I felt like we hit the jackpot. I've been here many times as a child and as an adult and there was no line to get in. I'm used to there always being at least one party ahead of us. We paid for our game, got our clubs and balls and started our game right away. The course is unchallenging (no windmills or clown mouths) and has many low pars. The miniature golf course has many things to look at while playing (waterfalls, bridges, totem poles, spears, hats, masks, etc.). The course was fun and we felt like we were very physical while we were there (walking up and down the man-made mountain). As we were leaving there was a large line leading into the mini golf course. As I drove away, I could see that there was a crowd at every hole. This is the Congo River Miniature Golf that I remember. I highly recommend Congo River Miniature Golf for a fantastic miniature golf experience.

I loved this place! When I arrived to golf with friends, the parking lot was really full and we expected there would be a wait. We were pleasantly surprised when there was not! Players can choose between two courses, and I think having two routes really helped prevent crowds. We never had to wait for the next hole, and never had anything me else right at our heels. The course is clean and well-maintained, and had a nice variety of challenges. My group of 4 completed the course in about an hour. The staff was young, friendly and helpful. It was an all-around great experience.

4 men sat out on an adventure of a lifetime one sunny hot summer afternoon. Who would win? Who would be champion? That would still be determined. After many fun exciting holes we would know who would be crowned. Anyway fun place for sure that is a lot of good times involved. I recommend checking them out and enjoying it like we did

Went for the first time and had a wonderful time. It was fun and simple to follow. Great spot for a photo op and looked so cool at night. It was a carefree night of simple fun and a great place to visit. I'll be back!

Have been visiting this location for years and have always had a great time. The holes are just the right bit of challenging and is a great get together place. There's a $1 off coupon on the website

    Nice on hot day.

Love Congo River! We went a few times this summer. The course is adventurous with a lot of nice scenery and elevations. The pars aren't always on par, see what I did there, meaning realistic. Some of the holes are tough with the way the obstacles are situated, so if you're competitive or have golf experience, realize many par twos should be pars threes for the amateur mini golfer. The staff was always friendly to us. They made truthful recommendations about the length of the course and starting with 18, vs. 36, since you can add another round after you golf 18 for the same price. I appreciated the honesty and that the company lets you do that after, not locks you in before. When it's really crowded, we always play a hole twice until we can move forward, and no one bothers us about that. I figure it's better than staring down the group in front of us. :-) Most 18 hole rounds are about an hour, worth the cost of admission.

Best mini golf in Schaumburg!!! My family had a blast playing all 36 holes. The Falls course is much more lackluster than the Rapids course.

A lot of fun for family/date night. However the Mosquitos are really bad there so prepare yourself for being bit all night!

We had one lane and there was a big family with kids the next lane we shared with. They had a lot of bowling balls, so no room to add any more. Least they were nice to just shared the bowling balls. They had a good range of weights to choose from. The lanes were decent and you can add bumpers. There are a lot of kids of all sizes, so be patient if they come to your lane or don't know bowling etiquette. This is a family kids friendly place. The shoes are Velcro and wide, so they were loose on me and the Velcro would always come undone. There are cubbies underneath the seats to put your shoes under. Our waiter was great and we had ordered alcoholic drinks and pizzas. The cauliflower crust don't come in large, so we got small individual size to share. The hot honey flatbread is like the size of 2 small individual pizzas. Pizza and the fries were decently good. Also had the chicken nachos, which I wouldn't recommend to get. The sauce was pretty salty and the diced chicken weren't that great. Place has arcade, rope course, laser tag, pool tables, and more. Lots of birthday parties being held so lots and lots of kids.

We had a group of 5 and had plenty of room to sit. However the area is quite narrow so it was hard to talk to the whole group. You can add bumpers to each bowler. It's easy to take on and off. You can also add a group selfie to the tv which was quite fun. There was a drink and food menu on the table. They do not list any items as GF. I had to do a lot of research prior to understand what I could eat. The server was knowledgeable. I informed him I was celiac/gluten free. He indicated they have a dedicated fryer for fries so we were able to share them. We also ordered a couple cauliflower pizzas. For drinks, I ordered a peach sangria and frozen strawberry margarita. The food was delicious and the fries had a great seasoning.

Fun for corporate events or very casual putt putt enthusiasts…read more I visited recently for a corporate event, and the best part of the experience was honestly the food! We all loved the mini bites and appetizers served. Everything was delicious! I especially loved the coconut shrimp and mini sliders! There were a lot of great options for vegetarians, GF and dairy free eaters. The papa itself is a fun time but is pretty quick. It's a fun take on classic mini golf where you're actually trying to get more points and have a higher score versus a low score. The putt putt holes are super short and I can't imagine someone could possibly get over 3 or 4 on a hole unless they were really not trying. I think this worked well for a corporate event because we were enjoying making small talk and being casual about the experience, but I don't know that I would come here on a first date or with a group of friends because we would just move through the mini golf course so quickly. But if you are looking for just a little activity to do before enjoying the food and bar at this location then give it a try!

We…read morebooked a reservation here not knowing what this place truly was we were going to do both the mini golf and stay for food. We booked a 5:30 p.m. reservation on a weekend and we didn't realize that this place had a really really long line when it came to check again. We booked a reservation online and we assume that our reservation automatically started at set time but really it truly doesn't matter what time your reservation is because you could just show up whenever you want it doesn't mean you automatically start playing at the time you reserve. You more so just book everything in advance and just save yourself a few minutes. The waiting is really long as if you're waiting for your favorite ride at an amusement park but the line is an hour long. There's four different courses in each one is nine holes. I will say that the courses were really fun and is a unique spin on how to play mini golf which is way more entertaining than LIV golf. Sadly I lost but I had fun. The price point just to play is truly pretty fair for what it was worth. Right after booking our golf reservations we tried booking our dinner reservations as well but that turned into a big issue which made us call them to try to make us redo our reservation to dine in and when we were done playing the mini golf we had an issue trying to get our seat but it looked like my name was spelled wrong and I caught it when I noticed on her tablet which was corrected. Dining was a pretty good experience just because the server came up immediately after we were seated we couldn't even look at the drink menu but thankfully he was very friendly. They have vegan options for my wife which was the main reason why we dined in. Food was pricey, I did enjoy their non-alcoholic drinks but if I were to come back here, I might just come back on a weekday where is probably a bit more quiet and less hectic.

That already set the tone for the experience. Things didn't improve from there. Our waiter brought a drink to the wrong person in our party and didn't card them. We had to step in and clarify that they were not the same person. It was honestly a bit uncomfortable and came across as careless and unprofessional. On top of that, we specifically asked to split the bill between drinks and the game for each person--something that's advertised as easy to do for groups. Instead, it was handled poorly. Everyone ended up being charged separately for their drinks and then again for the game portion, making it confusing and frustrating to sort out. This is only my second time at this location, and unfortunately it feels like they dropped the ball again without making any effort to fix it. Definitely disappointing.
