I saw wood dining room chairs, upholstered living room chairs, small tables, big tables that would be at home in your dining room, sofas, love seats, and game tables for checkers. And to make things even better was the generous spacing between the tables, so you never get the feeling that you're crammed in next to another party who might overhear your deepest darkest self-incriminating statements. We stopped in for late morning coffee and pastries, and learned their coffee is a special kind of coffee. Their coffee is "shade-grown" meaning the beans are allowed to ripen more slowly to enhance the flavor. We ordered an Americano (2 oz. Espresso, 6 oz. Water for $3.50), a drip coffee, a Cinnamon Bun ($4.50), and a Spinach Feta Danish. I had the Americano and the Danish and they were both very good. I never heard of "shade grown" coffee before, but I was impressed with the flavor profile. And that Spinach Feta Danish was fantastic. Congamond has a big food and drink menu with coffees, lattes, chais, smoothies, and hot chocolate, breakfast, lunch, and snack selections. The only less than stellar component of our experience was customer service. Yes, our orders were taken and announced promptly, but there was no hint of friendliness, courtesy, or customer engagement at all. Perfunctory kind of says it best. read more

This is a lovely little coffee shop on the lake. It's on a bike path too. Many riders stop here for quick refreshments. They serve all kinds of coffee, teas, hot chocolate, sandwiches and other treats. I've tried the breakfast bagel sandwich and it was very good. Avocado toast was also very tasty. I've tried a variety of coffee types. Lattes, cappuccino, and drip coffee. As a coffee lover, I was pleased with all of them. Service is fast and friendly. They quickly learn your name. I travel 40 minutes to go here. read more

Wonderful coffee shop. This is my favorite spot for a healthy breakfast on the bike trail. Wonderful rustic relaxing ambiance and friendly staff. Congamond Coffee is now a must do in my normal routine on a 20 mile ride 3 times per week. My favorite is the multigrain toast with peanut butter and granola on top. So good! Cozy calm atmosphere, awesome service. The food is fresh and delicious and specifically the baked goods are divine. Great selection of teas and coffees to complement the pastries, providing a solid selection with something for everyone. Out of the sandwich selection, we highly recommend getting the pesto mayo on whichever. Our favorite pastry has to be the spinach feta danish which may very well be the best pasty I have ever had. We had a chance to meet the owner recently and she was delightful, very enthusiastic about her baked goods and extremely inviting, which is reflected in her cafe. We highly recommended making your way here, and if you see the banana bread in the pastry glass, grab it while you can! She only makes it once in a blue moon! read more

When the online menu undersells... my daughter and I recently decided to stop here for lunch as it was close by. The online menu looked OK, but the inside menu was amazing! They have several specials with hot honey, which is incredibly delicious even if you don't like spicy things. (Highly recommend the parfait! )The muffins have a texture that you didn't know that you wanted muffins to always have. The coffee is exactly the type of copy that I enjoy.. it is not as strong as Starbucks so you don't feel that you need to sweeten a lot of dairy flavorful. It also isn't as generic as a Dunkin' Donuts blend, which exists primarily so you can add more flavors to it. You will enjoy a very delicious coffee that you can order as basic or as fancy as you want and you will not be disappointed. Since it is right next to where the rail trail is, feel free to start off from somewhere else and ride your bike here for a snack! Sitting out on the porch is nice and it's right near the Lakes so you could take a little walk if you'd like instead of biking. Inside has lots of seats, and some very cozy places to sit, so if you need a little more quiet time to sit and read, you will also find some really nice spaces. The staff is also very friendly, so bring your children if you're wanting to try somewhere new and not sure if they are family friendly. read more

If you have high standards for your coffee -- this is the spot for you. It's hands-down the best coffee in the area! I'm an oat milk latte or flat white drinker--and it's always perfect! Plus, they hand-make all of their delicious seasonal syrups if you like a festive drink (gingerbread during the winter and pumpkin spice during fall!). It's located in a beautiful historic general store, with the coziest atmosphere. Truly a special place with so much character and charm! The BLTA sandwich was super fresh and the service exceptional. Fresh roasted coffee that's tough to beat. It occupies a great space that was an old general store right off the bike path with outdoor picnic tables for beautiful days by the lake. Quite a relaxing, airy-space and roomy for some privacy. This new place is sooo cute! The inside is very welcoming and decor is nice and cozy. Menu is good and prices are good. We had the club sandwich, tomato/mozzarella sandwich and iced chai latte. I stop every time I go by on the bike trail. the place is nicely decorated. Booths, tables, inside and out, and couches to sit at and enjoy your food. There a several breakfast and lunch items to choose from. I've had several and enjoyed them including a favorite from a previous owner, Mo's chicken salad. there is a wide variety of pastries, cookies, brownies, muffin and breads. The owner and her staff are very friendly and the service is terrific. read more

Nice atmosphere. Had a tasty latte, but it was not heated to the appropriate temperature, had to ask them to microwave. It will mention it next time I order that. I definitely want a hot latte not a warm one. read more
