Dr. Barsa and Dr. Carla are very professional and down to earth people. I am very satisfied with the services I was given by both doctors on separate occasions. Their dental assistants Lea, Martha and Fabiola are very skilled and experienced and very friendly to their patients. Lea is my favorite one, very calm, sincere and attentive to the patients' needs and does her service with a smile. She is the "one of a kind" assistant there. The front desks ladies are okay but really needs improvement with their customer service. They speak and chat in their language and never heard them nor see them get up on their chair to even just do a small talk to their patients at the lobby. I understand their language too. The big lady there is very unfriendly. I have been their patient for years now. Their office manager before was awesome, she called to confirm your appointment and called if the doctor was not available to see you for your appointment and she knows how to speak professionally on the phone. There is a great improvement on the patients wait time now!!! Before Dr. Barsa's time it was too looongggg of a wait. From 30 minutes to an hour and more. It was unbelievable and irritating. No kidding! That is why I decided to go to a different dental clinic. And then last year I had to go for an emergency root canal and went to see Dr. Carla again. And then met Dr. Barsa who is the new owner of this clinic. I saw good people in there so now I am back to their care. Kudos to the doctors and their awesome assistants! read more

I saw Dr. Barsa at Confident Smiles several times (actually a lot of times :)) He is amazing!!! When I moved to Chicago I was looking for a dentist I could trust. It took me a long time to find it, but it was definitely worth waiting! There he was...Even being busy, he always took his time, always explained what he thinks the best procedure would be and i never felt pushed or rushed to make any decisions about my teeth (getting crowns etc.). In emergency, he was able to get me in on the same day even after his working hours. In a difficult/long procedure he still was able to perform like a pro, absolutely amazing!!! I was so satisfied with all the results of the dental work he has done for me, that I thought I would never, ever go to any other dentist! Unfortunately, I had to move to a different state and can't go there anymore :'( I swear I miss this office so much...Now, I have to find someone new and gosh, this is soooo hard!!!! It's definitely harder after being a patient of someone like Dr. Barsa, because my expectations are definitely higher than before. I recently became a patient of Dr. Barsa and my experience every time I go has been wonderful. He is a very knowledgable and kind Doctor. I love how the office is very diverse from the assistants to the receptionists they all speak different languages. When I made my appointment I had a few problems with my dental insurance but the ladies at the front desk were so kind enough to contact my insurance and help me. They are very efficient as well as kind enough to give me a variety of options for appointments since my work schedule always changes. I love the fact that while patients wait in the waiting room the receptionists offer you water or coffee as well as allowing us to change the channel. The office from the outside may not look as modern as the others but don't let that fool you. The inside of the office is very modern and even up to date. Dr. Barsa let me know that he uses the latest technology when it comes to taking x-rays. Towards the end of my new patient exam I absolutely loved how the two receptionist came into the room and explained my treatment plan from the payments to how the procedures would be done. Dr. Barsa knows what he's doing, he takes time making sure the patient is satisfied with his services. He gives smile and compliments The staffs are alright. The male dental assistant was fast, he cleaned the room and had me sit there right away. Lea was the one who helped me and she was the best! She took her time making sure that i am in no discomfort. The only reason i gave this place a 4star is because of those receptionist cannot wait to leave work and just talking to each other, patients over hearing their conversation. They're not even interacting with patients on the waiting room. One of the receptionist her name is Daisy she even turned off the television knowing i was watching while im waiting for my turn and just went off the door while the other staffs are cleaning up to ready to close the clinic. Bottom line is that the dentist and the dental assistants are excellent and they know their job, receptionists needs improvement (big time) but you go there for the dentist and their work is amazing!!! read more

I went to see Dr. Barsa on a referral from my girlfriend. Normally I am quite nervous to go see the dentist especially with the fact that I had an impacted wisdom tooth that was decaying rapidly. Dr. Barsa took extreme care of me and the whole experience of going into his office was stunning. He is the definition of white glove service. He actually cares about you and that is the quality that made me like him the most! His whole team is extremely professional and courteous. They make sure you are well taken care of just as Dr. Barsa does. I didn't have insurance so Dr. Barsa has his own dental plan that I highly recommend for anyone who doesn't have insurance. I'd to start off by saying I'm pretty much terrified of the dentist. But Dr. Barsa is amazing. I came in to his office a few weeks ago and found out I needed a root canal and was not looking forward to it. When I came in for the root canal I was more than terrified, I actually had a little anxiety attack right before. Dr. Barsa was so kind and understanding. First he helped me breath and calm down and then he gave me a cool damp towel for my head, turned the lights off in the room and just let me relax for a little bit before we started. The root canal went really well and it really was not as terrifying as I had imagined it would be. Not that I ever wanna do that again! I moved into the Avondale/Logan Square area last year and after reading several great reviews decided to try out Confident Smiles. The entire staff is very friendly, and the hours are flexible. I have a pretty crazy, ever-changing schedule so I have had to reschedule appointments many times and they have always been accommodating. Dr. Barsa has a professional bedside manner, but also a good sense of humour. He will walk you through everything to make sure you understand, and will give you the option to choose which procedures you want to move forward with if he thinks they are not immediately necessary. Dr. George B. is a complete professional and expert at doing his job. He demonstrates incredible accuracy and precision in his work and goes through every step by explaining the pros, cons and future consequences to the patient. I personally had to get one of my teeth extracted and his friendly and cooperative environment really made me forget about all worries. The technology used is also very advanced as he was able to spot all the issues through an HD x-ray image within minutes. Most importantly, Dr. George is very understanding in terms of the patient's budget. I definitely recommend Confident Smiles! It is now one of my family dental homes. Dr. Barsa always makes me feel comfortable and calm. I was worried of getting two cavities filled, but he made me feel comfortable! My fillings were done amazing and look natural. I had the tooth colored fillings. I did not feel any sort of sensitivity after. He truly cares about his patients by explaining, in depth, the dental treatment he recommends. They use a texting system to remind and confirm your appointments that is so much more convenient and helpful than phone calls and voicemails. Care is very gentle here with an emphasis on education. Dr Barsa has been my dentist for about 5 years now. He consistently looks out for my overall health and wellbeing. He takes great care of my teeth and oral health - but on my last visit anxiety was getting the better of me. He stopped his work to help me thru the anxiety and even gave me one of his stress balls. He connects with all his patients, remembers them well and works hard to make their experience as excellent as it can be. LOVE this practice! Dental work is usually not very pleasant, but Dr Barsa does make you feel welcome, informs you of everything he is doing and why, and most of all comfortable. I had to get a couple fillings, which he took his time and made sure I was not in any pain. In the end it was a thorough and excellent job done. He was also very fair with the costs that insurance did not cover, which i really appreciated since I live on a very tight budget.
