The team at Zephyr Dental are fantastic. I was a first time patient with a regular check up + teeth cleaning and I highly recommend their practice. I'm going back in a couple of weeks to fix a filling because of their stellar service (and it's covered by my insurance). You can/will send them insurance info days in advance so that you know if your procedure(s) is covered and how much it will cost out of pocket. I shared my info with them through ZocDoc which made it easy. They'll also text you an appointment reminder. When you check in as a first time patient, you'll need to fill out a few forms on an iPad which will take you about 10-15 minutes so show up earlier than your appointment time to take care of that (especially if you're in a time crunch). The facility is in a strip mall with a dedicated parking lot so don't worry about paid or zoned parking. I saw Dr. Chang on my visit and he was exactly what you would hope for in a dentist: friendly, professional, and a clear communicator. Easy peasy experience, I signed up online and received texts to confirm the appointment, covid screening and insurance. I also received prompt response via text when I had a question about my insurance. The office was super clean and staff were super friendly. The dental hygienist was great and talked me through my X-rays and made me feel comfortable the whole time. Dr. Chang himself was super personable and took time to explain everything to me regarding my care plan. He even gave me different options on how to proceed with my care plan to ultimately reach my goal of better dental health. So glad I found this dental office. Dr. Chang was great with explaining everything from my teeth to the treatment plan and how much it would cost me. I was super nervous about the cleaning seeing as I haven't got one in 2 years but it was painless, and surprisingly comfortable. Dr. Chang and his team took great care of me today - giving me full context as to what they were doing and why. Dr. Chang and the staff have been AMAZING!!! I haven't been to a dentist for about 6 ish years (only because I had multiple bad experiences at two other dentist offices). When I went here, they were super prepared. They made sure for me to do a screening to ensure that I wasn't feeling any symptoms of COVID and felt good to go into the office. I appreciate this a lot because their office is trying to protect their employees and makes me feel comfortable to go into an office where I know they're following the COVID protocol. They also had a consultation where Dr. Chang was awesome at explaining everything in detail of what I needed to do for my cleanings, and I even had a projection for my costs. During my two deep cleanings, Dr.Chang would check up on me to make sure I wasn't feeling any discomfort during the cleaning. Post cleanings, he would also check up on me to make sure that I was feeling okay after the procedure. He would also provide a reminder on how to use any solutions he provided. We recently took our two daughters (age 5 &3) for their annual check up and cleaning. I went to Dr. Chang for concern about a cavity and cosmetic consultation for broken teeth. His office was very clean and the staff was very kind! Unlike many other dentists where you are sitting in the waiting room upward of half an hour, when you schedule an appointment here - there is little to no wait time, and he is very transparent about what needs to be done, the cost, and scheduling follow ups if needed. But Dr. Chang sand his team made me feel so at home in their space. The office is pristinely clean and extremely well decorated. So much to love about my new dentist's office. First, the office itself is very clean and modern, and during COVID times you can see the steps they've taken to be safe. I felt very secure and the check-in process went smoothly. I loved the actual exam room with the TV's on the wall and ceiling. I was totally zoning out to Great British Baking Show, haha! That was a fun surprise and definitely took the edge off my nervousness. The technology they are using is super modern- they scanned my teeth and then the Dr. pointed out things on the scan and also what he was looking for as he did the exam. As for the cleaning, the Doc did most of it himself and honestly I've never left the dentist without feeling like that reverberating soreness (you know the feeling) until today. It was very gentle and he talked through what he was doing at each step. I also really liked that the Dr. Chang was nice to his staff (I've seen some crazy stuff at other offices) and they were all nice, too. I was looking for a new dentist, having moved recently to the area. I saw all the 5-star reviews on Google and gave it a shot. I had a very good experience, the office was clean and well ran. The intake process was straightforward and the equipment was modern and convenient. They used a hand-held x-ray machine which means I didn't have to move from the comfort of my chair, just laid back. They also did a 3D scan of my teeth which was pretty cool. Once complete, they could zoom in, rotate and examine my teeth easily on a big screen. This also served as a reference point for future dental issues if they occurred. I feel this is a great approach in conjunction with x-rays. They had plenty of entertainment options. 3 TVs in the room. Two in front and one on the ceiling. They offered Netflix/Hulu, etc. to ease anxiety while cleaning. Dr. Chang performed the examination and cleaning and it was the most gentle experience I've ever had. A technician followed up with polishing and fluoride. I felt like Dr. Chang showed a lot of respect for my mouth and I never felt like I was being "manhandled" which has happened at other dentists. I'm happy with my choice to use Dr. Chang's services and will certainly continue in the future. read more
