If I could rate with zero stars I would. Let me say up front that I have NO ISSUES with the dentists or the hygienists. Went to Confi Dental as dentist that had the same office retired & the former took over. I chose to go to them. I am on Medicare & have an Advantage plan. First few years were ok as visits were just for checkups, cleanings & x-rays. Never a problem with those being covered. The office staff, beginning with the office manager, is the problem. Her people skills need work. I was rescheduled for my 6 month visit once late last year, then again into 2026, then again when the office was not having patient visits on Fridays. Every time I got a msg from them, it was a nightmare to call back to reschedule. And they sent me texts to confirm after I'd called to confirm. A week after I had my 6 month (including x-rays), I broke an old crown. I went in a few days later for an x-ray & exam. One office staffer said she'd make me an appointment t/b measured for a new crown. The confusion began when the office mgr said no, a Prior Authorization needed t/b submitted to my insurance co & that it would take 2 weeks. After calls to find out status, it was more like 4-6 weeks. Over 6 weeks later (end of April) most of $2025 of work was denied d/t x-ray not being submitted to insurance co. Confi Dental NEVER told me. Since early May, I've been calling to see if Prior Auth was resubmitted with needed x-ray. Office kept telling me it would be, & that they would call me back. They never called back. This happened over 3 times. Insurance co said it was never resubmitted. Now Dentist's office is 'having phone problems'. Can't leave a message, can't talk to anyone, no one calls me. Insurance co could not get thru either. Insurance co said today that a picture of the broken crown was faxed to them but they could not use it. It is not an x-ray. Almost 4 months & I still have a broken tooth. I absolutely love the dentist. He was kind and funny. He made me feel so comfortable as I have anxiety. He was amazing.

I went to Confi Dental after my dentist stopped taking my insurance. They had me fill out an extensive intake form which included preferred language. And, even though I had chosen English as my preferred language, the dentist and assistant continually held conversations in another language while treating me. Don't ask if you're not going to honor the patient's wishes. They took their own x-rays even though I told them I recently had x-rays done at the previous dentist and they could request copies from him. Most of the time I was treated in a room separated by partial wall from other patients. It felt like at dental assembly line. It always felt rushed and I never felt as if I was getting quality care, although the work seems to have held up. Many staff seemed annoyed to be there and some outright rude. I ended up buying my own dental insurance so I could return to my former dentist. When I left the practice I called to request any final bills. I was told by whomever answered the phone that I owed nothing and everything had been sent through my insurance and I had paid all remaining costs. More than a year later I received a $70 bill with them saying it was for x-rays not covered by the insurance. I was constantly called, texted and harassed for the money, even though their staff member said I owed nothing. read more

I can't say I have had experience with extensive dental work, but the doctor was wonderful. The assistant and front desk staff were competent and welcoming respectively. I hope they get to see this! I felt comfortable when I heard the receptionists' familiar voice on the other line and knew exactly who was calling. I felt comforted by the assistant and his know how with the tools he was using with the doctor. I was and am happy with my results and the price of the procedure without insurance. They were able to see me immediately when nobody else in Wallingford could. I'm going back for my full dental and x-rays in April as they offered me 20% off on multiple procedures considering I don't have dental insurance. And, just in case you don't "get" it, it's confidental...as in "confident" with your dental care! Be assured. read more

Rudest receptionist imaginable. My dentist is out sick (she treated me while she was sick and later tested positive for covid) and I needed dental care for a semi-urgent problem that is causing pain. She referred me to her colleague, Nanda. I decided to peruse reviews. Upset at what I read, I asked if I could see a different dentist in this practice. She was rude as possible and told me that none-of- the reviews are true and everyone who left bad review is a liar. Because that's what people do; they leave false reviews about a dentist. Yeah. This practice used to be good until a change in ownership. Unfortunately, since then, there has been a high turnover of staff. My latest experience was marred by a misdiagnosis about persisting pain, with two doctors in this same practice offering conflicting opinions. One suggested extracting the tooth, while the other thought it might just be extra sensitivity when I was back to extract the tooth. This uncertainty was disconcerting since my second opinion did not recommend extracting the tooth and discovered an infection that was easy to see had they bothered with an Xray. I would have lost a tooth if I followed their recommendations Furthermore, the front office manager did not even bother calling me back with my billing concerns after stopping by the office twice and calling more than 4 times. She is MIA or that position does not exist. They refuse to refund a credit for an over-payment and want to keep for future visits. Given these experiences and for my sanity, I believe it is in my best interest to seek dental care elsewhere. read more

If I could give this office Zero stars I would. Do not allow Dr. Nanda anywhere near your mouth. Dr. Greenwald was unavailable and I had to have a tooth extracted in March. She made the pain worse when she tried to do it. I jumped out of the chair twice. She couldn't do the work and finally sent me to an oral surgeon, who told me "she was in way over her head and shouldn't have tried to do this". I won't ever let her near me again. Filed a complaint with state dental association. UPDATE: Had Dr. Greenwald, who is leaving this office, re-cement a crown when I called in an emergency a few days before Thanksgiving. 4 days later, it popped loose and this office told me they will not get me into the office for 10 days because Greenwald wasn't there. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Receptionist is very rude and refused to get me in there in an emergency again even with the other dentist (not Nanda). No wonder why Dr. Greenwald is leaving the office at the end of the year. Took the recommendation of a co-worker and called another dentist who saw me 3 hours later. This place is absolutely horrible, let's start with the fact that i went in for my appointment to get an xray done because i needed to have 1 tooth extracted from previous issues with my tooth and I sat there for 4 and a half hours. Thankfully I did NOT let them pull my tooth because they were going to extract the WRONG TOOTH!!! They did not ask me if I was allergic to any specific kind of novocaine which caused me to have a huge allergic reaction in the office causing me to vomit and get sick in their office. They didn't want the other clients to see so they immediately escorted me out of the building and told me to call back so I can reschedule. I went back to this business several times during business hours and majority of the time the staff comes into work late and they leave in the middle of the day. At my first appointment I witnessed an elderly lady run into their office frantically crying because of the work they did on her mouth and then refusing to help her because she was 4 minutes late. I will start off by saying my hygienist Lynn was great, I would recommend her in a heartbeat. The receptionists were all wonderful and friendly as well. There are two dentists in this office. Dr Nada - I cannot speak to her skill as she did not perform any work on me but I can say she has a heavy accent, if you struggle with that, you will have trouble understanding, despite this I remained optimistic. In my last cleaning I was told I needed 1 filling and made an appointment. My appointment was with Dr Guzman, HUGE mistake. When I went in, after my 40 minute wait, I was told I needed 2 fillings. *red flag* I told her my concern as to why Dr Nada said 1 and now I show up, 1 month later and suddenly need 2. She had no answers for me and kept trying to shove a mirror in my mouth to show me. No the issue is the discrepancy of information, I received no good answer as to why the change and finally she said the notes told her to check for sticking, and she said it did. I finally agreed to both fillings - if it needs to be done then it needs to be done. After another 10 min wait I was given local anesthesia, which was so sloppy a large portion dripped down my lip from the needle but I said nothing. The woman muttered and moaned clearly unhappy and I said nothing. This post is already long but let's just say the work itself was very sloppy, I was extremely uncomfortable for a routine procedure. Once the tooth was filled she failed to get floss through, she muttered some more and worked some more. She then sent me on my way. Unfortunately for me I forgot to verify with her she finally got the floss though but let's face it, It SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE. Oh and to top off the 3 hr appointment she lectured me on how I have the right to stick with one dentist and not use the other. NO again not the problem, the problem was the change in information for no reason. Then she went on to say once a dr makes a dental plan she can't just change it, dr Nada wrote down to have 2 fillings. *red flag* explanation just changed. I had to go back 2 days later as I could not floss where the filling was c. Clearly she was annoyed as was I. She said the filling must have leaked out after I left because there were no issues when I left. I'm no dentist but I feel confident a completed filling cannot just leak out and cement 2 teeth together!! She muttered and complained some more. When I tried to understand how she was fixing it she got annoyed with my questions and told me to relax so she can do what she needs to do. How rude and unprofessional I have the right to understand what it going on during a dental procedure. Not to mention at one point after she forced the excess material between my teeth out, her eyes got wide, she backed out of my mouth quickly and again she said nothing. She shot me with anesthesia out of no where and I finally shoved everything out of my mouth to ask what just happened and what was wrong. Basically she had to redo some of the filling at this point, which should have been communicated with me. At the end, she had me try floss, I said yes it went though and she got up and walked out of the room with no apology, no good bye, no nothing. I've never been so disappointed and disrespected by a dr like this in my life. Go elsewhere. Let's face it, it doesn't seem promising the work was even done correctly at this point. I had called in advance to confirm my son's appointment and also to make sure that they had good COVID practices in place. I was told that the staff wore PPE and that they had made the necessary adjustments. We have been clients of Dr. Greenwald for years and trusted that we would be okay! We called from the car upon arrival (ask requested) and were told to come in. We were greeted by two smiling associates without masks!!???!! Dr. Greenwald in no longer with this practice! We left and will never be going back (avoid the hygienist Luis; terrible bedside manner, does not instill any confidence in their safety measures and will not speak to them if asked - why not?) Had a few issues with insurance ((switched jobs) and the carriers were not helpful at all in payment of services rendered Enter Maybeline Rodriguez at Confi. She took all my insurance info from both jobs and contacted each and had all bills paid. Some of the bills were outstanding from last year and while I tried calling I got nowhere. DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give this place negative stars I would. Unbelievably horrible experience. Went as a new patient, tech was looking in my mouth, wouldn't answer any questions I had. Eventually telling me the dentist would answer my questions. Fine. Asked to do x rays as I am a new patient. I told they I just had x rays a few months ago and I only get them every other year or so. Tech told me they can't see any cavities in between my teeth without x rays. I've never had a cavity or anything wrong with my teeth in my life so I politely declined x rays; just wanted a cleaning and a general teeth check. Dentist storms in, literally yelling at me how she will not do an exam if I don't do x rays, literally yelling in front of everyone. I'm shocked at why this is such a big deal. I've been to different dentists in all different states and has never had an issue when I refused x rays. Dentist is screaming how it's a waste of time for her to look at my teeth without an x ray, I said "I'm here I am missing work for this, I do not want to come back as this appointment took 6 weeks to get, can you please just look in my mouth and say if everything looks ok" she refuses, yelling. I gave up and said ok I'll do the x rays and the dentist proceeds to scream at me saying I'm wasting her time, she has other patients waiting, she doesn't want to do my x rays now.
