I love the beautiful hairstyle and deep conditioning of my curls. This place has everything: neighborhood and family vibe as well as lux hair care options. Angie is amazing. She listens, offers advice and executes with precision and talent. I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

Came here on a whim, and pretty proud of that decision. They were able to do walk-ins, and I opted to have my eyebrows and lip waxed. The services went by very smoothly, and my esthetician, Margarita, was so friendly. She not only did amazing work cleaning my lip and brows, but provided me a list of recommended eats around the city since I'm new to Chicago. Everyone who I encountered at the salon was welcoming and friendly. FYI though: if you want to tip, make sure to add it to the bill before they run your credit card, or pay in cash. read more

Great place for a last minute appointment. Staff is super friendly and very welcoming. Angie is my stylist is wonderful and very accommodating with last minute requests. Salon is always very clean, very comfortable environment. Recommend to all the men out there in the neighborhood. read more

Five stars for Conexion Salon and its amazing and caring staff! Angie performed waxing services that were very professional and as painless as possible. She did a great job and I am very happy with the results. Selena's manicure/pedicure was relaxing and I'm also thrilled with the results. I rarely go to a salon, and when I do go, Conexion is my first choice! read more

Selena is just simply amazing!! She is very caring and profesional. She goes above and beyond with all her clients!

We had a top notch experience randomly walking into Conexion on Roscoe for my 3 year old. We were tired of overpriced options in the neighborhood with difficult appointment scheduling and failed tries at 3 other places (commonly recommended hair stylists for kids in the area on FB), Margarita at Conexion got it done! So reasonable. No sass. Treated us like family. We will definitely make this place our go to. read more

This was my 2st visit time Concepcion. Angie cut and styled my hair in an easy to manage bob. Shortly after I left I ran into a friend that I hadn't seen for some time. She was quick to tell me how much she liked my hair style. I received a similar compliment from another friend shortly after that. My hair is baby fine but Angie did a great job giving me an easy to care for new look. Thanks Angie read more

I needed my grey roots covered and I am from out of town, so I am thrilled that I found a welcoming local place to have my hair done. Selena took the time to talk with me about options and matched my current hair color perfectly. The salon is clean and the business is professional; Selena is a pleasure to have as a stylist. read more

Wow, I had a great experience here today! Being Italian my eyebrows can go from looking okay to bordering dangerously on a unibrow quickly --today was one of those days. I called to see how fast they could get me in for a wax and I was told right away. They made me feel welcome from the second I walked in the door. It was raining and when I almost slipped on the floor the owner himself came over to put out a floor mat and make sure I had a place to hang up my umbrella. Angie did my brows and she was great. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed for 11 years and this was my most painless wax ever. She also showed me exactly the shape she was going to make and explained to me every step of the process. I think this would be nice for someone who was getting their brows done for the first time. On the way out I decided that I also needed to get my bangs cut and they sat me right down and did them perfectly. I actually didn't get the name of the girl who cut my bangs but she was very friendly and professional as well. The best part was the price. Brows were only $15 and my bang trim was $5! I am looking forward to going back and trying the rest of their services. read more

FANTASTIC!! It honestly doesn't get better than this I would give them more stars if I could. The staff is very friendly, attentive and proffesional. I've been going to Margarita for years now and everytime I visit I leave very satisfied. I've gotten hair cut, color, waxing, and facials at Conexion and each experience was phenomenal!!! Thanks Conexion Keep up the great work! read more

I've found my new salon. I was fully expecting to try a few places and then settle on one, but I hit the jackpot on the first try. I walked into Conexion a frizzy brunette with split ends, and walked out a sleek redhead. Ana did my cut/color/style, and she did a perfectly brilliant job. She cut off only the half inch or so of split ends - such a relief not to lose 4 inches of hair when I just wanted a trim! - and fixed my growing-out bangs. I initially wanted a brighter orange-y red, but she pointed out a darker shade that worked much better with my skin tone and looked less cartoon-y than the other shade would have. She also managed to turn my usually frizzy hair perfectly flat without using an iron. The entire walk home, I was That Girl who stops in front of every window to check out her hair. I will ABSOLUTELY be back. read more

Yay, finally found a salon that I like and that doesn't charge a ton for a haircut. I was able to make an evening appointment with one day notice. I came in with a picture and Margarita took extra time to make sure she was giving me the exact cut I wanted. I'm getting so many compliments on my hair today! I was a fan of some *other* place in Roscoe Village but at Conexion, I pay the same price for a haircut, get my hair washed and don't feel rushed. read more

I'm driving around lakeview looking for someplace that will be quick, clean, reasonably priced, with nearby parking for a last minute lip waxing. Conexion was all these things. I walked in, asked for a wax, filled out a form, and was in the back in under 2 minutes. This was the first place I've been that asks about your skin before a waxing. They really care about you and obviously don't want you to have a bad reaction. They had me lay on a table in the back and propped me up with pillows. She used a pre-wax cleaning thing, quickly yanked off my mustache, used a gel to remove the extra wax, aloe to sooth the skin, and a cold light-bulb thingy (though I'm sure that's not what it was) to calm the skin. I'm sure I was in and out in less than 10minutes. You can pay with cards, but tips must be cash. The place was really nice and the people are friendly. I'm giving it 4 stars, not 5 because I don't know what their hair cutting is like. read more

This is a terrible salon. Margarita doesn't know how to run a business. Went in for cut and color. Looks terrible. read more

This Salon is all you want it is friendly and has a family vibe, everyone is very nice and they make you feel so welcome. Angie Torres does my hair and she is amazing I would highly recommend her. Her blow outs are simply amazing. read more

This place is awesome! Margarita, Josie, and Angie do a great job with my hair and eyebrows. The place is a very comfy family owned salon that knows a lot when it comes down to your hair. I always walk out of there very satisfied. I always go there and am glad to have a stylist who knows what she is doing. I have never had a bad experience there. They are gentle and do condition your hair. They make sure you don't walk out of their salon with your hair wet. I love it here! I've gone there for a waxing too. And they are were clean about the entire process. Despite what people say, Angie and Josie are very clean and caring. They let you know exactly what they are going to do and care about the pain you feel and try to make the waxing less painful. The wax was great and I was fine after with no pain. And I have a low tolerance for pain, so it's nice to have them making sure I'm not hurting through it all. Both my sister and boyfriend go here to and they love it! I would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a Paul Mitchell salon. Conexion doesn't try and rip you off and leave you feeling like you over payed for a haircut. Their entire staff is super friendly and enjoy talking with you while you are there and even have complimentary coffee, tea, cookies, and fruit. This place is amazing and I will recommend it to everyone! read more

So everyone here is really nice and they make every effort to accommodate your needs, but I don't feel like they have a whole lot of experience. On the plus side they are VERY meticulous with your hair and take the time to talk to you about it and explain everything. The girl who cut my hair was incredibly sweet and my hair turned out fine. It's not stuffy and super trendy at all and you will definitely feel comfortable here. I tried this place because it's walking distance to my house but I probably wouldn't go back unless I desperately needed an inexpensive haircut. The eyebrow wax was also fine but I've had better for the same price. Bonus points for the lady because she acted like she really cared about my brows and how I took care of them. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, nice, clean salon with an inviting atmosphere and really nice employees, then go here. read more

I just moved to Chicago, and live pretty close to this place, so I decided to try it out. When I got there, they were ready for me, which is always nice. The girl who was working as the receptionist was the same girl who did my shampoo. She was sweet, but a bit rough. I'm not tender headed at all--I am a camp counselor and am used to having 8 year old girls try to "do my hair" for fun. She was fun to talk to, but I felt like she wasn't really paying too much attention to my head. So now we come to the haircut. Margarita cut my hair, and she was sweet. The hair cut I ended up with was ok, nothing too amazing. I sort of felt like there was a little language barrier, as if she was having trouble understanding what I wanted, but she tried very hard, so I really appreciated that. It was decent, but I probably won't return. read more

My cousin and myself went here for a prewedding manicure. My cousin made an appointment for the two of us. We show up, only 1 manicurist. It took 2.5 hours for both of us to get a manicure/pedicure, because there was only one manicurist and she had to do both of us individually. Had we been walk ins, obviously they wouldn't have known 2 of us would have been coming in and it would have been fine. However, they DID know, didn't do anything about it and it took an extremely long time. The job the manicurist did was fine enough, but I'm not sure I would go back. read more

Margarita, is great. She takes her time to ensure your haircut and perm are perfect. She is very personable, friendly and professional. I love my hairstyle, the cut and perm look great. I will only go to Conexion to get my hair done. Every one is friendly and professional. Try them you will keep going back to them. I do. One more thing, they have very strict COVID rules to ensure that each stall is sanitized and that anyone coming in is also sanitized so that no one gets sick with COVID19. So you can enjoy your visit without worry. They go the extra mile for the beauticians and customers. read more

Everything you can ask for in a salon. Friendly, accommodating and helpful! They stayed open two hours after they should have closed so I could get my haircut and highlights done in one visit. Margarita explained everything to me so there were no surprises. She was able to ask the right questions to figure out what I wanted with my cut and color, something I always have a hard time explaining. I am so happy I moved a block away from this salon because I will definitely be coming back...AND sending my boyfriend! read more

Great service and friendly people! I recently went in for a spiral perm and trim. Margarita and her daughter Angie were both super professional and welcoming. They both offered me coffee and water and did what they could to make my experience enjoyable. Margarita took the time to ask me what I wanted my perm to look like to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Getting a perm takes several hours but Margarita still worked fast and efficiently! I'm extremely happy with the results. Will definitely be going back for further services in the future. If you're looking for a friendly business with reasonable prices for a large city and high-quality work, this is your place! read more

I love coming to Conexion everyone is so friendly. I've gotten my haircuts by Angie and Selena they are both professional and listen to your concerns. They give me good advice on how to take care of my hair and they sell Paul Mitchell Products. I know they are constantly learning new techniques and try to stay informed about new hair trends. I definitely recommend this hair salon to my friends and family. read more

Just got my eyebrows waxed here (really, like 45 minutes ago) by Angie, and they turned out so beautifully! It was one of the most perfect brow waxes I've ever had. She took her time doing it, explained each step of the process, and the final result was flawless and stylish. I'm so happy! I think $15 is a very reasonable price for what you get here. I'm certain to go back the next time I need my brows waxed! read more

I am in love with this place. I was a little weary at first because no one was in, which... come to think of it was great. I was seated immediately. Angie cut my hair and styled it. OH man I was in love! My hair looked great and it didn't have that stiff look. It was great. I'm definitely going back! You can't beat a haircut under 40 dollars too. I was actually expecting more. read more

Honestly, it takes a lot for me to go to a salon and take care of my long hair. That's why when my wedding day was approaching I was in trouble! I called different places... most charged as much for just a preview of a look as my little dress had cost me :l Thankfully Conexion Salon was recommended to me by my husband. At the salon, Angie took care of me first by listening to my likes in hair style, then looking through some choices, and finally doing a sample of both a hairstyle and makeup. My experience at the salon was great- the entire staff is very friendly and professional. The day of my wedding Angie was there earlier than opening time. I was late but she still had time to do an outstanding job, and we even changed the style! She did my makeup and I was ready to go :) looking great for my special day! The pricing is very reasonable and overall I was more than satisfied- thank you Angie! I saw how many services they offer here- from waxing to relaxing massages and all hair services... I can't wait to go back and do something to my hair =D read more

I went to "City Looks" (which became "All About Hair") for years before they abruptly closed. As a typical dude I'm not horribly picky about my hair but I don't want it to look like crap either. Also, I have very straight hair that tends to do what it wants. I've been to more expensive places that screwed it up and had Hair Cuttery haircuts that weren't so hot. I was very happy to hear Jackie landed here when AAH closed and that they had brought over the discount for men on Tuesdays. Most of the other crew got hired on as well. You might be able to find better for a helluva lot more money but it's a great deal for the $ and it's convenient for locals in Roscoe Village. They are also very friendly and it's a nice new salon. read more

Margarita washed, cut, and styled my hair. She was very thorough, cautious, and did a good job. At $30, I got a much better cut than I paid for. read more

I gotta give these guys some stars for customer service, I take my girlfriends here every so often and there always super nice.

This is a wonderful salon. If you can, ask for Angie. She really takes that extra step to make your experience perfect. The prices are great too and they are very knowledgable. Angie is the only person I trust with my hair. I get it colored and cut and she does a great job every time. They also do massages, waxing and mani/pedi. If you havent gone here and are looking for a new place, its a MUST try. read more

Angie is the best! $15 men's cut on Tuesday is the best deal in the city....reccomend for anyone looking for a great affortable men's cut

Just got my four year old daughter's hair cut here. They did a great job, were very thorough and sweet to her. And it was $15! I felt it was a much more stylish and professional cut than you get at the kid's hair salons. read more

Went here for a haircut in December because it had good reviews and was reasonably priced. Margarita is great! I got the last appt of the day and they didn't rush me out even though i was there for about 15 minutes past close while she was finishing blow drying my hair. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she wanted to clarify and see some more views so she actually looked up the celebrity on her computer and we looked at some other pictures. She then proceeded to do exactly what I asked for! It was great! I would recommend to anyone and it doesn't take a long time to get an evening appt! read more

WORST HAIRCUT EVER. I went there with photo in hand, explained exactly what I wanted-- A pixie cut with bangs. He just trims my shoulder lenth hair. Um,... no. So I say "let me shoe you the photo again" He trims it a tiny bit and tells me he can't cut the back any shorter if i want bangs--- WHAT???? He tells me that's all he can do and I'll like it better with product in it-- proceeds to put a HUGE handful of mousse in it and blow dries it.... I look like an attorney. NOT what I was looking for. So pissed. Biggest waste of time and money. read more

I called around 11:00 last Saturday morning and was able to get a 2:30 appointment. When I walked in, I received a warm greeting and only had to wait a few minutes before getting started with the shampoo and haircut. Margarita was really warm, friendly, and attentive to my needs. She told me what she was going to do and she did it perfectly. After the cut, I had great hair! Then I had to go out and walk in the warm and humid weather and you know what happened after that...my hair drooped. But with the good cut and styling advice, it was salvaged. I will go back to Margarita when I am in town again. read more

I've been to Conexion Salon a few times now and I've had a wonderful experience each time. MY go to hair stylist has been Angie and she's always taken great care in finding out what I want and also has great suggestions on hair styles and colors! I definitely recommend this Roscoe Village Salon! read more

For me, this is the type of salon where you feel uncomfortable from the get-go. I have been here twice and both times were unfavorable. I received a gift card for my birthday and originally went in for a mani/pedi which took about 3.5 hours! It was a good mani/pedi but who has that much time to spend in a salon making idle chit chat and hoping your nails are instantaneously dry so you could leave immediately following the last brush stroke! I still had money left on the gift card so I "HAD" to go back for something so I needed a pedi and once again was thoroughly disappointed. This time, a different nail tech, performed my pedicure but it was done too hastily. It was like she didn't know how to do a pedicure or just didn't want to do the hard stuff. That's why I pay for pedis - so someone else could scrub off the dead skin off my heels! She seriously used the wrong side of the foot scrubber thing. She cut my nails but did not file or shape them! I could have done the same thing but better at home with my pedi egg. I get home and look at my toes closer and notice there is polish outside of my nails and on my skin! Ugh... Not to mention, it was $30! Way too overpriced for a pedicure of that quality. If I pay $30 for a pedi, I at least expect a massage chair and a thorough scrub! The chair was pretty uncomfortable btw. Then when I checked out it was like the 2 ladies at the counter were zombies and not understanding anything i said! Needless to say, I will not return to Conexion or recommend it. read more
