We hired Concrete Doctor to help us clean our driveway and backyard patio areas. We bought a flipper house and the flippers made the terrible decision to paint all of the outdoor concrete. It didn't take long for the paint to begin chipping, making the concrete look terrible. We sent photos to numerous power washing companies who told us the job was too much for a power washer. After doing some research, I stumbled upon sand blasting. The first sand blasting company I called quoted me at over double what Concrete Doctor charged and wouldn't commit to how many days the job would take. I fortunately found Concrete Doctor and received a straightforward price and time estimate. The team came out and did a great job getting all of the paint off the concrete over the course of a day. Trace and his team had to remove driveway coating which was chipped and peeling all over. The material was apparently the same material used to paint the bottom of pools and stuck onto the concrete due to moisture, etc. Sandblasting did not work as it would destroy the concrete underneath. So the entire 1000 square-foot concrete surface area had to be hand scraped which was a laborious process. Nonetheless, the guys were great. The estimate was accurate and they did the job on time. Very nice team members who are non-nonsense. Trace is a strong communicator who helped answer a lot of questions. Highly recommended. read more

We had serious cracks in the concrete steps leading up to the spa deck that had been repaired 7 years ago and had opened up again. Trace was realistic about what he could do which was to fill them with epoxy and cover that in a sand based material to take stain to match the surrounding coping. Trace looked at my old concrete patio that was in sad shape. Half was newer colored concrete from a repaired drain pipe and the rest was old sad stained concrete. The look was not good. Trace and his team came in and completely transformed it. They sandblasted it, stained with a lighter color first in order to make the two shades of concrete match, then overlayed the final, darker stain, and followed up with an industrial grade sealer. Only an experience pro could take what we had and made it into what it is now. I was truly concerned that we'd have to either fully replace the concrete or continually paint it. We just wrapped up having the coping around our pool sandblasted and sealed along with our pavers powerwashed and sealed - looks brand new! Really appreciate the recommendation of the appropriate sealer to use to reduce the amount of maintenance moving forward - this was a huge help, what we thought we wanted to use as a sealer would have required it to be redone at least ever 2 years. This recommendation is saving us a ton of money in the future and we really appreciate it. They started by power washing everything, which was definitely needed because we had a Husky who sheds like crazy. They let us see sample colors ahead of time on our backyard concrete so it would be a true color. They also cleaned up and sealed the rocks on the outside of our planter by painstakingly using a brush on each rock! They were very easy to work with and always communicated with us. We had our courtyard, walk way and parts of driveway sandblasted. Is sandblasting messy? yes Trace did his best to clean everything up. Stained concrete came out great and where there were some hickups he took care of it immediately (some paint touchups) even after we said we'd do it he said he didn't think it was right and he would take care of it....and he did.
