They don't want your business. Yasmine Fortson is probably one of the worst property manager or whatever her title is. They tried to charge a little bit over $200 to add a tenant to the lease. We tried to upgrade mid-lease into one of this forever vacant units they have, they just don't wanna have to deal with that so they decline it before the end if your lease. When I first moved in, I had a pretty rough start due to a mix-up with utilities and the unit I was originally assigned. However, management stepped in quickly once the issue was escalated and resolved it in a way that exceeded my expectations, with a very favorable compensation . I really appreciated how they honored that commitment. Since then, day-to-day living has been smooth. Maintenance is responsive and has consistently fixed things fast whenever I've submitted a request, that's honestly been one of the strongest parts of living here. My own unit has been great, and I haven't had major issues personally. I do know some neighbors have had concerns, so experiences here can vary depending on the unit. But speaking only from my situation, it's been a solid place to live, and management has treated me fairly. I've been living at Concourse for two months now, and while I truly wanted to fall in love with this place--and still enjoy aspects of it--it hasn't quite lived up to my expectations. Let's start with the staff. As many residents will tell you, the property manager, Emily, seems to be a ghost--no one's ever actually seen her. Even the assistant manager, Yasmine, is only available by appointment, even if she's clearly visible sitting at her desk. All resident issues are filtered through the concierge team. While they do their job efficiently, they lack the warmth and approachability I've experienced with other property staff elsewhere. One bright spot: maintenance. They're consistently responsive and reliable, which I really appreciate. That said, my move-in experience was a complete nightmare. There was a major miscommunication between Red Oak (the application management company) and Concourse regarding my parking situation. I had specifically requested a tandem EV charging spot and was assured by the Red Oak agent during my tour that parking would be arranged for me. No one informed me there was a waitlist. So, when I arrived to move in, I had nowhere to park and nowhere to unload my belongings. It was chaotic and extremely stressful. After a lengthy back-and-forth--yes, even involving my attorney--I was finally assigned a parking spot. I share this to say: be cautious about what's said during your tour. Get every detail in writing. And while the issue was resolved, it was still distressing to experience it, especially being a girl living alone, having to park blocks away and walk back late at night is criminal. Now, my ongoing issue: the package system here is a disaster. In just two months, I've had five packages go missing--four from Amazon and one from Temu. The way package delivery works at Concourse is incredibly flawed. Delivery drivers can't access floors without a key fob, so they're forced to leave packages in a mailroom or hand them to concierge. You'd think there would be a better system in place--but it only gets more complicated. Yes, there are lockers available, but they cost $25/month. Even then, there's no guarantee your packages will be placed there, often times they're placed on the floor by the lockers. Some drivers leave items in your building, others take them to the main building's concierge. If you live in the main building, great. If not, you're left chasing down your deliveries. Worse, Amazon drivers sometimes put packages into lockers even if you don't have a locker membership--without providing an access code. Then you have to call the staff to unlock it every time. And here's the kicker: I've had packages physically stolen from those lockers--twice. I'm now on my fifth missing package, and after spending three days trying to track down the most recent one, I'm at a loss. For a property managing this many residents and more than 3 buildings, you'd expect a far more secure and organized package system. Unfortunately, that's not the case. In short: while there are things I still like about Concourse, the move-in experience, lack of accessible management, and deeply flawed package handling process have been enough to dampen my enthusiasm. DO NOT RENT A SHARED ROOM HERE They don't do any kind of background check on the people who live here. I was assigned to live with a dangerous man who I have no association with and who verbally harassed me and physically assaulted me shortly after I moved in. When I notified the concierge and the security team, they had no empathy and coldly told me there was nothing they could do. When I messaged the property management team, they took several days to respond and would not place me in a different unit, despite several units being available. That staff here do not care about you. To my knowledge, the tenant who assaulted me is still living there. I have vacated the premises and I strongly advise against living here due to the unpredictable and potentially dangerous roommates you may have. read more

Decent Property, But Lacks Communication and Professionalism There are definitely pros and cons to living here. On the positive side, the property manager is great, and the maintenance team can be helpful when it comes to in-unit requests. However, there are major issues that future residents should be aware of: Lease Renewals: Don't expect any email communication when your lease is up. The property does not send electronic notices -- only paper postings on your door. Also expect 3-5 incorrect postings on your door and having to deliver to the right unit their rent increased because unfortunately they don't know how to read addresses..... Rather than offering a chance to renew at a set rate, they automatically roll you into a month-to-month lease at a higher rate. In my case, I went from around $2,000 to $2,400 without any option to negotiate or early bird special, regular lease sign date of the option of month to month they choose and set your date for you. My unit wasn't leased for over 3 years and was entered over 8 times through 24 hour notices and twice they broke the law on time frames of when they posted, I have cameras make sure you have cameras... When you lease is up and you only offer the month to month make sure its documented why they are charging more if they aren't up keeping with your unit or upgrading it for the charges... I found out the true reason why it wasn't lease for 3 years..... don't move here until this new company Geta this place in order and they are no where near that... Move-In & Maintenance Issues: When I moved in, I completed the inspection form, but nothing was reviewed or repaired. It took over a year (and multiple complaints) to get certain things addressed. Privacy Concerns: The assistant property manager has made questionable comments about residents and their units (over 5 submissions against here have been submitted and no actions be careful and do not trust). 24-hour notices are posted, but there's little follow-through or tracking. If privacy matters to you, be cautious. Common Areas: The laundry room is rarely cleaned -- I personally witnessed trash and items left untouched for over 16 days. I've submitted complaints to the city twice now due to how unsanitary it is. Expect to see cockroaches in shared areas like the laundry room, and the gym is also not maintained or cleaned regularly. Parking Issues: Be careful with parking. I was promised a certain spot and then towed. The management did not help, even though the towing was not my fault. Overall, you really do "get what you pay for" here. If you have no other options, it might be manageable -- but don't expect strong communication, modern upgrades, or professional treatment. I would say overall my stay for the past 6 months at Concourse were positive. The building is modern and kept relatively clean, and the units come equipped with amenities such as AC and fast internet. Whenever I had maintenance issues such as a clogged sink, I could easily submit a request and the matter would be taken care of within a day. I especially appreciated the help of the current maintenance member as they have been very courteous and mindful when addressing an issue within my unit. I've been residing in this apartment for about 5 months now and everything has been great! The property is very modern and always clean. The cleaning crew always excels at their job and are so kind every time I run into them. But MOST importantly, our leasing specialist, John Queenan, has always been so helpful since day one. He's answered all our emails and concerns in such a timely manner from the day we toured the apartment and still is even after the five months we have lived here. My husband and I made a decision to move to this property because we knew if our leasing specialist was this attentive, we would have no issue during our time here at Concourse. *On the side note: I wish they would allow us to use the communal areas a bit more freely now that the covid restrictions have been lifted. I understand it's up to the corporate office and it's for the safety of us but to my understanding, other companies have already loosened these restrictions and I'm starting to feel like concourse is a bit behind. read more

Do not lease from here. Came to check out a studio apartment which is $1850 w/ a sink, fridge, freezer, but NO stovetop/oven...which is VERY weird that price and U can't even cook in my home. Also the property manager who showed us around some short obnoxious white guy seemed too bothered to really give us a good tour and was on his phone the entire time. He seemed very distracted and un-serious about his job. I rented a place for my daughter while in college. The units are nice but the customer service is absolutely horrible. Even while trying to rent the apartment, I had to call multiple times to get someone. They said they would return my call but never did. I always had to follow up to find someone. Whenever we had a concern, they wouldn't return calls. They were slow to fix issues like we had no remote for the TV. No wonder they have so many vacancies. It's as if nobody knows what they're doing. The management is clueless. Then when we moved out, they charged us for cleaning and painting even though it was clean. I complained and they said they charge ALL Residents a cleaning fee on exit. This is illegal under California law. They can only charge if the unit needs to be cleaned to bring it back to the condition it was on move-in. Plus, they failed to give the legally required written notice offering residents the opportunity to have the unit pre-inspected on exit. They did not do this yet still charged us. They cannot arbitrarily charge cleaning and painting fees to all tenants. read more

I lived here for 8 months in 2022-2023. I would strongly advise against the co-living option as it is severely overpriced for what you get at this location. The rooms themselves are nice however the appliances are not kept up. I submitted 4 maintenance requests in 3 months to fix my shower (which had slowed to a trickle) and was provided temporary fixes each time. The dishwasher did not clean dishes AT ALL. The TVs are advertised as smart TVs but only have basic cable channels (and no guide menu so you have no clue what you are watching half the time). I don't mean to nit-pick small details but just voicing my experience. All of the "amenities" advertised are subpar at best - the gym is usually pretty messy, equipment has been broken for months with no fix. The hot tub was not warm for a good 3 months and the fire pits do not turn on. I went to the front desk to inquire about the fire pits one night to which I was told "I don't know how to work them" by the person there. The "free wifi" in my apartment was broken for 2 weeks and was not fixed despite work orders, calls to the leasing office, etc. Location is convenient in the sense that it is right near the 405. Other than that, there are not many restaurants/things to do in the direct walkable area (fine neighborhoods nearby to walk/run in). It is also very close to the airport. The apartment complex is fine, however with the co-living, I had a super messy roommate who kept the kitchen a mess which is frustrating at this price point. I would recommend against co-living as there are better options for apartments that would be cheaper to furnish and (hopefully) have a more responsive leasing office. Typically not a negative reviewer but I thought it was worth sharing my experience to hopefully give insight to other young professionals looking for housing. read more

The gentleman working there had told us that their leasing system has been down for two weeks or so prior to our arrival. Giving a 2 star review strictly for the fact that the complex is newer and rent was competitive with the rest of the market. If it wasn't for the that, I would give the service, leasing office and complex a 1 star review I lived here February 2021 - July 2022. And there are many complaints I have and wants to address. Please see below for general complaints that I believe everyone should know, prior to considering leasing here: 1) Very rarely will you be able to directly talk to the leasing office, even during regular office hours. Many times I would go to the leasing office just to find that all of the employees are busy in meeting with no one available to talk (regardless of what time you went). Even if I requested to wait until a person was available to speak, I would be direct away and to follow up with an email. Almost all of my initial communication when wanting to connect with the leasing office was done through the front desk. 2) Many of our emails went unanswered as tenets. We would have to send consecutive emails out requesting an update and go to the front desk multiple times in order to get any form of response back from the leasing office and agents. 3) The leasing office does not care about the safety of their tenets and support/service animals. There was a common issue regarding dogs being off leash in and near the complex. This created both a safety hazards for dogs and humans alike. After addressing it multiple times, sending countless videos, picture and complaints to management about the dogs being off leash and the irresponsibility of their owners - very little to no action was taken to address this safety concern. Even after my wife go bit where she broke skin and we reported it to the leasing office. 4) Upon moving out they attempted to overcharge us because they stated that we did not provide a 30 days advanced notice. However we were able to verify that we did via email but the email went unanswered and not actioned (again addressing concern #1 and #2) I am a firm believer in providing nothing but genuine transparency - especially within a community and location you will be calling home. To those reading this, I hope that you found value in this review. I would highly recommend you leasing elsewhere and safe your self the headache of working with this complex. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT! (If I could give it zero stars I would!) It's unfortunate that the level of unprofessionalism that you will have to deal with goes up the chain of command. My partner and I have had the absolute worst experience when it comes to this company. We've stayed at one of their new locations for about a month and half now and have experienced so many issues that we've demanded to speak with corporate. We were called "Guinea pigs" because of their inability to have things like wifi, mail room keys, and even our parcel pending ready upon move in. It took several weeks for them to have everything that's listed under their contract ready for our use. And to top it off they plan to give us a $25 gift card (which we still have yet to receive) for not having the wifi available for use. We've left several messages with corporate and still have yet to hear back from them. (It has been almost 3 weeks without even a return phone call) Absolutely terrible management company when it comes to responsiveness and satisfaction of current tenants. read more

Honestly every day I wake up here I feel so grateful to call it home. It is more expensive but well worth it, when I chose a "furnished" apartment... they were not kidding! I moved in with the place having all cutlery, forks, knifes, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner,blenders, toasters, dish soap and scrubbers and more. If you're concerned about the noise from being close to LAX, don't worry! Most rooms have double windows so it's noise canceling. The layout is so modern, but definitely decorate if you don't like minimalist (my room is covered in plants bc it feels more like home. The staff are all kind, down to security, every time I say hi they always say hi back with a genuine smile. There's security on property at all time, and housecleaning comes once a week to clean the common areas. 10/10 would love to live here again, only negative I would say is there aren't many good healthy food places in the area, and if you can't cook like me, you'll find yourself driving to Santa Monica pretty often, and if you get caught in traffic hour, the 15 minute drive will be a 55 minute d read more
