This is a wonderful gas station and road side attraction! The General Store has plenty of food and drinks to choose from, including lots of souvenirs. They have clean bathrooms - a Women's room, a Men's room, and a large family bathroom. They also offer fresh-made drinks at their cafe counter. You have to check out the Concord Zoo while you're here. It's to the right of the store across the parking lot. There was a staff member feeding the animals while we were there, and the enclosures looked pretty good from what we could see. This will definitely be our go-to rest stop the next time we drive this direction. read more

Carrots and cones I always try to stop here when on the way to or fro Madison, primarily to visit with the animals at the adjoining zoo. The store itself has goodies for the zoo friends, but also a great selection of food and beverages for a human snack stop too. The store is clean and staff is friendly - what more could you ask for?! read more

Hello fellow yelpers! I am here to talk about a gem that sits on this very busy highway! A little gas station that's right next to a mini zoo. Ever feel exhausted or tired from sitting for hours? Then this is a stop you should definitely take. Not only can you check out a little zoo you can also buy healthy snacks, candy, pop or coffee and POPCORN. I am a big believer in popcorn in the way to the heart, walking into this gas station smelling my favorite snack blew my mind. I immediately remembered this little place and noticed I never checked in before. So this may by my first time checking in but it's not my first visit. I love this little place, clean bathrooms, great space for parking and easy access to pumps. It was worth the stop, I love re-visiting old places I forgotten about. It's been probably four years since I've been here and I still adore this little stop. Unsure if you should stop? Stop being unsure and just do it! It's worth the stop. Incredible snacks and a place to walk around getting that energy back. I hope to stop by again, but thank you for always being a great place to stop at. Keep up that great work! This is a gas station convenience store, but the selection of merchandise they have is very cool. They carry a lot of Wisconsin specialties such as beef sticks, cheeses, pickles, Buddy Squirrel popcorn, regional beer, wine and more. They have donuts, cookies and pastries, hot soup, pre made sandwiches and a coffee bar where they can make you an espresso drink. They also have specialty sodas. There are a couple of wooden booths for dining that are much nicer than your average convenience store seating. If you are stopping at the Concord Zoo next door, you can stop in the store and get some carrots to feed to the animals. Of course they also have your c-store staples as well. read more

A great stop along the Madison-Milwaukee corridor. Although decorated like a Wild Western general store, it's actually a pretty high end convenience store. We got some hand made tomato sauce, they also have deli quality sandwiches, coffee, baked goods, smoked meats, and groceries. Fresh salads! More expensive and better quality than what you would expect at a gas station, and yet, they still provide free tire air. There's a little petting zoo, which isn't just fun for kids, very friendly helpful staff, reasonably priced petrol. I have mild lower back pain when I'm in a car too long, so a brief respite at a place like this makes the trip to and from Milwaukee to Madison comfortable. Clean restrooms. Exit 275, don't miss it coming into Milwaukee, it's your most convenient on-off for fuel if you're passing through the metropolitan area East-Southbound. read more

I had been skeptical this place for years; never stopping despite a few friends telling me how cool it was. A gas station and a petting zoo in one stop?! Welp, today was the day I was brought here while on our way to Madison and I now know what I have been missing all these years. The small petting zoo is nicely set up and the animals were *so* friendly. They were likely hoping we had treats for them, but even when they found out we didn't, still stuck around for some pets. Went inside the gas station to wash my hands and found some many delicious goodies inside - pickled veggies, locally made hot sauces, cheese curds, local frozen beef, and so much more! What really impressed me here was their coffee bar! They had the good Rishi tea and can make you lattes, cappuccinos, etc... with a barista style machine to make them. There was even NessAlla kombucha on tap! You can bet I'll be back to this bougie gas station; maybe on Tuesday for their Taco Tuesday deal! read more

This is hands-down the BEST gas station in the area. It's a prefect stop between Milwaukee and Madison every time. The gas is adequately priced but more importantly 1) I can get some good, locally sourced Anodyne coffee for my ride!!!! 2) their incredible selection of healthy snack options for the road - think nuts, dried fruit, organic, etc. 3) the staff is friendly AF! 4) they have a pokestops and gyms for you Pokémon folk 5) they have a bunch of locally sourced and homemade jams, jellies, pickled items, cheese, jerky, baked goods, etc. 6) they have a petting zoo! You can buy a little cone and go feed the animals or buy a peacock feather and take it home for a cat toy. This gas station is THE SHIIIT. read more

The greatest gas station on this lumpy dump of a planet. Other convenience stops ain't fit to lick the donkey droppings at Concord General Store and Zoo. The squeakiest cheese curds, spiciest dad meats, and fluffiest little feed munchers await you at CGS&Z. The hand of Zeus guided us to this little green wonder village where we sipped exotic sodas and engaged in soulful communion with alpacas, ponies, goats, and more. This was the best little surprise ever! We stopped for gas on our way to the Dells. Ended up staying for a little while to see the petting zoo! How cool is that? We didn't know there was a petting zoo until we pulled in. There were so many cute animals. It just made my day! Goats, a peacock, chickens, bunnies...I can't remember what else. It was so cool! Bathrooms are clean, for customers only though. Lots of snacks in the shop. I'm so glad we found this place. So neat. You're never too old for a petting zoo. read more

Love to stop at this station (exit 275 Sullivan-about 20 miles west of Milwaukee on I94). Friendly workers. Fun general store. Clean restrooms. Most of we like the fun petting zoo. We have vidited year round. Only closed once when ice was to bad. Always recommend to folks who will be on this road. read more
