This was my first visit to this Kwik Trip, I was on my way to a place in West Bend that only…read moreaccepts cash so I needed to make a pit stop at their ATM (Kwik Tip ATMs have no fee. If you're a true Cheesehead, you call this a TYME machine.) This store is remarkably large with a larger selection of hot foods and groceries than most KTs. There is a huge, walk-in beer cooler and a selection of wines near the TYME...er...ATM machines. Almost all KT stores are laid out with a similar floor plan, there are a few different floor plans depending on the footprint of the store and when it was built. Some are mirror images of one another, which I refer to as left hand stores and right hand stores, depending on which way you turn to approach the cash registers. When you go into the store, you'll get that feeling of Deja vu, which is exactly what the owners want you to feel. This store is newer so it uses the newer floor plan and it's left handed. Karuba Coffee, Dunkers, doughnuts, and hot foods are straight back. Rest rooms are on the far end, take a right at the cooler. Lottery forms are back there, too, for processing at the registers. The no-fee ATMs are to your right as you enter the store. Outside? You'll find Unleaded regular and premium, Unleaded 88, E-85, and winterized diesel #2 and a 24 hour car wash.

Always hated going to the bigger grocery stores after work to pick up a few things that I knew would require me canvassing every corner of the store. I do feel bad about the other locally based gas stations just being blind-sided (Kwik Trip wasn't in our area even 4 years ago), but then pushing Hunt Brothers frozen pizza or an over priced crappy carwash with fun lighting isn't cool either.....With Kwik Trip, (as a grocery store), I could easily pick up all of my wanted basic groceries and even great steaks and produce within minutes and little effort. I've always been SUPER happy with the meat especially, and have gotten a few of my friends turned on to going to pick up the steaks, meat, produce regularly as well for the value, price, ease. However, tonight, I'd picked up what I thought a typical package of sirloin steak, (like I've now been doing since the place opened, and they were ALWAYS outstanding), but upon getting home, I discovered under the label, it was actually 3 small strips of "steak" (trimmings) which in themselves, required handtrimming to remove the excess fat and grizzly stuff. After being a HUGE fan of their burgers in the beginning, I stopped buying once they turned into "angus chips smothered in bun", bought the pizza, until all they served the "chicken carbanaro", bought the cheesy stuffed breadsticks until they raised the price and made them smaller, less cheese. Kwik Trip: People aren't stupid and won't be loyal to bait and switch and continue to buy your goods. There's an Aldiz nearby this location, can go there, and just a few miles further away for ethanol free gas that's less expensive than your premium grade.

He drove all the way to Grafton in his big Green Steed to save my hide and I have nothing but praises for his professionalism and expertise. Let me explain ... Against my better judgment, I drove 2 miles to Costco tonight to exchange some Cashews. I should have walked because I needed the exercise and it was time to take my Service Dog out for his last walk. But noooooo, the lazy lady in me decided to drive because I was craving a sweet treat and could only get it if I took the nasty Raw Unsalted Organic Cashews (I bought last month) back to exchange them for something yummier (preferably chocolate) -- LOL. Everything was going fabulously. Costco didn't even give me a hard time about not having a receipt. The exchange went well and I controlled my instincts and got healthy snacks instead of chocolate. I was feeling all victorious and decided to go home and walk the dog through downtown Grafton. Then, it happened. I tried to start the car and got NOTHING! I called AAA and after puttering around with a stupid BOT much longer than anyone should, a human ordered the tow truck from Bob's Main Street Auto & Towing! I was told it would take an hour but in about 30 minutes, I saw the big green steed powering through the parking lot toward me! I happily waved it down and out jumped my knight -- Dave! Dave came over and introduced himself. He got the keys and checked the car. He declared he could probably get the car started and got busy. After a quick assessment (on-site), he let me know that the battery was dead. Even though the lights were on in the car, the battery needed charging and probably should be replaced. I was able to drive home and he will help me get AAA to send a battery replacement tomorrow. Dave was so pleasant the entire time. He was all business but very human about the whole thing. He was the type of human being that I was happy to interact with -- polite, willing to help, patient, and empathic. It's nice that when I was feeling a little harried and kind of jumpy to encounter someone confident and reassuring. He made me feel safe and like I would get home without any unnecessary drama! I'm very grateful to have met Dave and his trusty steed tonight! I hope to never need the service again but if I do, I sure won't hesitate to call directly or ask specifically for Dave at Bob's Main Street Auto & Towing. Thanks Dave! If I were a Queen and had a sword, I'd Knight ya, man!!!

No stars after today. I frequent this station as its close to home, and get a car wash with a fill-up. It was snowing on my last fill but purchased a car wash anyway $10. I was less than 12 hours late for my wash code. Walked in to see if they would still honor it [just added more gas to my tank too] Was told to call back management to ask if it could be honored. I called in to inquire if i5 was possible and was flat out told "NO". With covid I have not been going out much. And yes my bad for being a day late, but come on and show some good customer service to a loyal customer for years. The Assistant Manager had none. 5 thumbs down. read more

You have to check out the Concord Zoo while you're here. It's to the right of the store across the parking lot. There was a staff member feeding the animals while we were there, and the enclosures looked pretty good from what we could see. This will definitely be our go-to rest stop the next time we drive this direction.

The first pump I went to was leaking gas out of the handle where the hose connects. It got all over…read moremy tire. The handle was stuck but wasn't pumping, it took me a minute to get it unstuck to put it back then I went to a different pump and that handle also got stuck, but wasn't pumping the gas. It was easier to get unstuck and I restarted. The tap to pay was ruined on that one, but at least it didn't leak. There are no options that don't contain 10% ethanol which is no good...I don't want ethanol in my car. Some locations still do no ethanol. I also went to use the windshield wash and it stunk so bad like it hadn't been changed for 2 weeks, the water was definitely rancid. The other one had 2 handles in it and they were also stuck in the washer container. Everything I tried is stuck at this location. I will be avoiding this location now for gas needs.

I stop at Oconomowoc on Brown Street and filled up a Honda Fit, $35.75. that was about 1:30 Sunday, July 12. At 6 pm July 12 I just wanted to check my bank account. It had the $35.75 and it also had$125.00 charge pending at Kwik Trip. I drove back to that Kwik Trip and they told me they do that , the manager at the time did not know why but if it does not come off to stop back down??? Why do they put a $125. 00 charge on your card ? if they do that to everybody, they make a lot of money just hold that money overnight. I heard from several people that I know that work at Kwik trip that said since dad retired the son took over and is making changes to the business that just load up his pocketbook and this is obviously one of them , putting $125.00 charge on your debit card for a $35.75 dollar charge. I hope the dad reads this , I am also contacting the BBB and my Congressman because this does not seem to be ok!!!!!
