Initial thoughts about the Concept 32FE Boat -
Awesome. The 32' with twin Verado 300s kicks it hard.
Boat handles sweet, easy, simple, predictive, safe and very agile. Wife and I love it and we have had quite a few IO big boats over the years to compare it to.
Performance - Easily achieved 63 mph at around 5500 rpm with more to go. It took me a while to get use to the trims and how to keep the bow from bouncing up and down. But, at 55 mph it starts to settle in and run true. Today we were satisfied cursing at that speed in the dry 80 deg f, clear skies, 45 deg 8 mph NW head winds, 1' light chop and twin Verados singing their song.
The engineering, fit and finish of Concepts boat is impressive. Electrical layout should provide ease of troubleshooting if needed but I do not expect any issues on or off the water. It sure looks good though and gives piece of mind every time I look at how well it is engineered. I come from an aviation electrical engineering background so I'm not easy to impress.
Maneuvering the boat on and off the trailer, in and around the marinas, up to islands and near other boats was done with a huge level of confidence.
Getting in and out of the boat is easy due in part to the robust ladder and nicely set up transom door.
We expect the 32FE to fish well with its ample storage and large fish lockers. This will soon be proven as well as completing our final clean up and touch ups to the boat.
We may have found an affordable keeper with this 2008, 300 hr, 32FE. However, we are thinking of going much bigger soon.
I have a few more cosmetic things to address and then we will see about selling it. Loving working on it so far and getting excited about our next trip.
The marlin are feeding close in out of Venice LA now so it's looking like we will bloody it up soon.
