You can do this, or you may leave your car at our location and ask the insurance company to inspect the car here. Do I need an appointment for an estimate? Walk-ins are welcome, although sometimes it is best to call ahead of time so we can advise you of the process. What do I need for a collision repair estimate? All you need is your car, insurance card, and contact information. What if my insurance company wants me to go to another shop? You have the right to go to the shop of your choice. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular shop. They may tell you they wont cover the work, but we have stood behind our repairs since 1985. Estimates may vary - why? Differences in collision repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all necessary work. In the process of fixing the damage caused by the collision, additional auto body repair issues may be revealed. If your not sure why one estimate is different from the other please ask us. Which shop should I choose? a shop like Conrad's with state-of-the-art repair equipment and certified (ASE, I-Car) technicians. Should I accept the insurance check, and if I do, will additional work be covered? Yes. We will work with the insurance company on any supplements (work that is accident related) and will bill them directly if need be...

I have never had a worse customer experience with any service business in my 64 years that I have been around. Not only does the collision center lack integrity, but honesty has fallen with it. The manager Jason seems to have an affection for the person that causes their problems,Josh. Besides numerous other problems with this company, they glued trim on my F250 pick up truck instead of following their estimate of replacing trim which required removing my rear window. Apparently the manager Jason instructed them not to do the repair and glue the trim instead. Of course that was yesterday. The first thing this morning, the trim has popped off of my vehicle yet when I mentioned something to them when I picked up my vehicle, their attitude was we back our work, if it doesn't work out, bring it back and we'll do it again. When I was shown my vehicle so that they could show me the great work they did. I asked the technician if they had to remove my ladder rack in order to take out the back window to repair the trim and he went on to tell me yes and explain what they did. Unfortunately, for me, they did absolutely none of that. I would never have approved any body shop to glue my trim back on because it is proven glue does not hold trim or they would have made it that way originally. I was told the price of parts yet when I went to pay my bill they were almost double what I was originally told it would cost. I tried to reach out to the manager Jason and was treated like an elementary school child being lectured on how they operate yet he had no regard for my concerns that while my vehicle was there for over three weeks and after a dozen phone calls and his employees leaving messages for Josh, I never received one call about my inquiries of the status of my vehicle. I did notice looking at other reviews that it seems like most of their poor reviews come from their female customers of which my wife was also disrespected in their office by both Josh and the staff that attended to her I have never experienced anything as poor as this business is run and I intend to take this up with the general manager first thing on Monday morning. I hope to have more of a positive experience talking to him than being lectured by a team of people at the collision center that have a camaraderie that will cover for each other no matter what a customer has to say. Not to mention that when going to get my vehicle, I was informed that insurance would take five more days before they would approve of the payment, and therefore I would not be able to get my vehicle until then, while completely disregarding the fact that possibly the customer will pay for it so they could have their vehicle that was being held by this company . Of course I spoke with insurance and was informed by my insurance representative that the bill was presented to them moments before my conversation with them. USAA also blamed the inconsistency on Josh wondering why they didn't have notification prior too completion to have the required time to review the bill. I can go on and on, but I will end my review by saying this is a catastrophe of doing business with people like this. Unless I am mistaking, I assumed that it is the responsibility of a business to reach out to the customer to notify them of any change to the original work order, let alone, price differences, and the timeframe from bringing a vehicle in to ordering parts. It is now morning after I picked up my vehicle and looking at my receipt I was charged for the repair of my dented driver's door, which has been repainted shiny like new. The dent was never repaired. Good luck to anybody considering this place to do business with. I will now be trying to meet with the owner first thing Monday and will edit to keep anybody informed that happens to be reading their reviews.

We were undecided about where to bring our car, and based on their having a volvo dealership, we decided to have it repaired by them. This was assuming they knew how to repair cars. The 1st time we picked up the car, we were unable to try the sunroof b/c of the snow. We tried it once we got it in our garage and when we tried to open it, there was a horrible grinding/crushing sound. We immediately closed it. We let Alicia know and she told us to bring it back and they would take care of it. No problem. Brought it back. Picked it up a 2nd time. Same crushing/grinding sound. This time, we brought it in a 3rd time and spoke with Todd(manager) who assured me he would have it taken care of as this was a complicated sunroof assembly. We picked it up, and sadly we waited until the following week to try it out on a gorgeous day. SAME PROBLEM. Brought it back a 4th time, and spoke with Rene who finally admitted that the technicians "probably don't have the knowledge to fix this". By this time, they're pretty much blaming us for their mechanical ineptitude. Todd spoke to me via phone, and let me know that basically all I paid for was for the glass replacement. So, I wonder if you had a front collision and the bumper and radiator were damaged if they would only replace the bumper and tell you the rest is not their problem. We will not bring the car to such an incompetent place of business for the 5th time. BUYER BEWARE.....CAVEAT EMPTOR

The body shop is a bit of a drive from where I live but totally worth it! If you are not very close to New Sharon, ME but are tired of being lied to and ripped off by untrustworthy, dishonest and bad mechanics...do yourself a favor, call Pete, make an appointment and notice your wallet grow and your mechanic visits decrease. I bought a used car a little over a year ago and needed the brake pads changed. I went to the local "chain/corporation" guy and while the mechanic from this "chain/corporation" shop was working on my car he found out the body was in very bad shape. He told me he couldn't do anything with my car and he didn't do ANYTHING! but he DID charge me a ridiculous labor fee. So now I'm driving around trying to find someone who can not only fix my brakes but also repair the body of my car. I had been to a few different places to get quotes, some were very expensive and others just didn't want to bother with it. They usually told me I should just buy a new one. I told Pete my story and how I was ready to give in and even though I really love my car was ready to buy another and get into debt with a dealership. I dropped the car off at Winslow's, he had it all fixed up and working beautifully in a reasonable amount of time at a very affordable price! I honestly couldn't believe it! I have been to him now a few times for tires and an oil change and continue to absolutely feel lucky to have found this great place.

The hood and windshield were the parts that needed to be replaced. I was told by the body shop that I would get a used hood but it would be painted. I was told the fenders would be painted to match the hood color. When I went to pick up the car neither fender was painted even though my bill showed that the work was done. I asked why they werent painted as I was told they would be and why the charges for painting them was on my bill. The cost was taken off the bill and I was told that it wasnt necessary to paint the fenders because the color matched the hoods color which was supposedly just painted. If the hood was just painted it didnt make sense that it would match 17 year old paint on the fenders. The hood was used and where there were dings you could see that touch up paint was used and the color did not match the hood color. The car is silver and there was a red spot on the hood. If the hood was freshly painted there shouldnt be a red dot or touch up paint used. It just proved to me that I was being billed for work not done. The car was taken back in to the shop for a long time to have the ding spots and the red spot buffed. I was not impressed by this because it did not change the fact that the hood didnt look freshly painted as I was billed for. I complained to my ins. co. who said they saw the before and after pictures sent to them from the body shop and were happy with the work. I guess the owner of the vehicle being unhappy with the work doesnt matter to either the body shop or the ins co. I informed my ins. co that I am never using that shop again and I will be looking for a new ins co.
