Photo taken on: April 22 Tested negative for TB -- left with a red mark around the area where I was poked (twice). *More red in person*

I went in to get a TB test done - the front desk does a really amazing job so the wait time wasn't too bad, my low star review is for the nurse who did my actual TB shot. The first time she stuck the needle in my arm she went too deep so she had to get another needle. The second needle also went in too deep resulting in lots of pain in my arm during the shot and also pain in my hand afterwards, throughout the day. My TB injection was very bruised and I experienced quite a bit of pain. I understand some people make mistakes so not to bash or shame her I just hope she sees this review so she can continue to practice before causing any pain or serious injury to future patients.

My son has been attending Leaps and Bounds for about a year now, and I can honestly say it's been…read moresuch a positive experience for our family. The front staff at the Norco location are always incredibly helpful, patient, and welcoming. I tend to ask a million questions, and they never make me feel like a bother, they always take the time to make sure my schedule is taken care of and that I have everything I need. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and very organized. Everyone we've encountered has been friendly, professional, and truly invested in the kids they work with. It gives me peace of mind knowing my son is in such a supportive and positive space. I would highly recommend Leaps and Bounds to any parent looking for services like PT, OT, speech therapy, or any specialized support for their child. We've had nothing but a great experience!

I have had mostly positive experiences with other therapists; however, my experience with Courtney…read moreWyman was disappointing. I felt that she did not allow enough time for my child to transition and adjust before ending the session, and her manner felt rushed and harsh. As a parent, I suggested that next time my child be given a brief moment to finish cleaning up the toys, especially since there were still five minutes scheduled for parent discussion, which were not used. She did not acknowledge this suggestion and instead stated that she needed to end the session because she had another patient. At that time, our session had not yet ended, and there were still approximately three minutes remaining in the parent discussion period. I explained that allowing less than 30 seconds to clean up helps prevent triggering my child, as children on the spectrum can be very sensitive to abrupt transitions. Unfortunately, her response and facial expression felt cold and dismissive, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was disappointed by this experience, as I expected a higher level of patience and understanding from a professional working in this field. Effective therapy requires flexibility, empathy, and collaboration with parents, and I did not feel those qualities were demonstrated during this session.

We had the pleasure of working with YI for our son's therapy--once, around when our son was 6…read moremonths, and then a bit more than a year later (we had moved, and SARC assigned us to another agency, which we eventually went back to YI). The technician that was assigned to our son (the second time) noticed that he showed behavioral patterns that indicated SPD. Neither my wife nor I were familiar with this, and the tech suggested some resources for us to read and learn from (one of which was The Out Of Sync Child, which comes on an audiobook). I am always thankful for YI and that tech, as, until our son could officially be diagnosed (later diagnosed as autism), that tech integrated her therapy to be in line with children who have SPD. Unfortunately, SARC assigned another agency to our son (as he required many more hours, which YI couldn't meet; as well as other services that YI doesn't offer). That agency, among many other problems, didn't know (or bother to learn about) SPD. Fortunately, after pushing our Regional Contact for another agency (as well as asking to go back to YI, as, even though our son was getting fewer hours, those hours were FAR MORE SUBSTANTIVE than the new agency--in fact, he was REGRESSING with the new agency), the new agency (which could meet the new hour demands and other services) knew about SPD and their techs are trained about it.

My experiences were positive. The facilities were clean, the room temperature was controlled to…read morecomfort, the staff were attentive. Karla greeted me with a smile. She was welcoming from the start which made it easy to relax (as much as medically possible) in any doctors office. She remained patient, answered my many questions, and helped me to understand the processes around me. When she departed for lunch, Maria assisted me with water and a snack. I was struggling with my medical assisted devices but she bought them to me without hesitation. I do enjoy customer service done correctly! Chris was whom who took me back to see the doctor. He was kind, considerate, professional and kept the humanity in the processing of measurements, testing and preparation for the doctor. He was sincere in treating me like a person, not another number patient. A gentle touch goes a long way! Dr. Dizay was also kind. She had reviewed my chart, had questions, testing and was prepared. She was efficient, timely and compassionate. I can see how good leadership, begins at the top. Only suggestion would be to inform at scheduling there is a significant packet to fill out before seeing doctor. I could have benefited from bringing someone with me to help fill it out, read or even write. I wasn't sure my documents were as legible as they could have been with my pain while sitting and writing. Overall, I would return. Patients in the lobby were greeted by name and seemed upbeat and pleased with the care.

But I've waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time to get a room, not even considering actually speaking with the doctor. The doctor recommended a medication that's not covered under insurance as a first go -WTH. My insurance denied my request for imaging due to lack of medical information by the doctors; the insurance stated what needed to be said which - is the whole point of why I am being seen. Every follow up with the office, I was told it was submitted etc. yet I received the actual paperwork and it wasn't until I filed a complaint with my insurance that this was handled. They think they have passive patients who will let this stuff slide. If you want to be seen timely and get what you need, I wouldn't recommend at all! I have to give a minimum of 1 stars but I'd give a -1 star if I could.
