My son has been attending Leaps and Bounds for about a year now, and I can honestly say it's been…read moresuch a positive experience for our family. The front staff at the Norco location are always incredibly helpful, patient, and welcoming. I tend to ask a million questions, and they never make me feel like a bother, they always take the time to make sure my schedule is taken care of and that I have everything I need. The facility itself is clean, well-maintained, and very organized. Everyone we've encountered has been friendly, professional, and truly invested in the kids they work with. It gives me peace of mind knowing my son is in such a supportive and positive space. I would highly recommend Leaps and Bounds to any parent looking for services like PT, OT, speech therapy, or any specialized support for their child. We've had nothing but a great experience!

I have had mostly positive experiences with other therapists; however, my experience with Courtney…read moreWyman was disappointing. I felt that she did not allow enough time for my child to transition and adjust before ending the session, and her manner felt rushed and harsh. As a parent, I suggested that next time my child be given a brief moment to finish cleaning up the toys, especially since there were still five minutes scheduled for parent discussion, which were not used. She did not acknowledge this suggestion and instead stated that she needed to end the session because she had another patient. At that time, our session had not yet ended, and there were still approximately three minutes remaining in the parent discussion period. I explained that allowing less than 30 seconds to clean up helps prevent triggering my child, as children on the spectrum can be very sensitive to abrupt transitions. Unfortunately, her response and facial expression felt cold and dismissive, which made the interaction uncomfortable. I was disappointed by this experience, as I expected a higher level of patience and understanding from a professional working in this field. Effective therapy requires flexibility, empathy, and collaboration with parents, and I did not feel those qualities were demonstrated during this session.

The technician that was assigned to our son (the second time) noticed that he showed behavioral patterns that indicated SPD. Neither my wife nor I were familiar with this, and the tech suggested some resources for us to read and learn from (one of which was The Out Of Sync Child, which comes on an audiobook). I am always thankful for YI and that tech, as, until our son could officially be diagnosed (later diagnosed as autism), that tech integrated her therapy to be in line with children who have SPD. Unfortunately, SARC assigned another agency to our son (as he required many more hours, which YI couldn't meet; as well as other services that YI doesn't offer). That agency, among many other problems, didn't know (or bother to learn about) SPD. Fortunately, after pushing our Regional Contact for another agency (as well as asking to go back to YI, as, even though our son was getting fewer hours, those hours were FAR MORE SUBSTANTIVE than the new agency--in fact, he was REGRESSING with the new agency), the new agency (which could meet the new hour demands and other services) knew about SPD and their techs are trained about it.

I have nothing but rave reviews for Empower Physical Therapy. Truly a game-changer for my recovery…read more Dr. Jason Brieva, DPT, is exceptional and genuinely invested in every detail of rehab. He explains everything clearly, why each exercise matters, how it safely builds strength, and what the bigger picture looks like long term. The exercises were always perfectly paced, challenging enough to push me forward. He was quick to adjust anything that didn't feel right and made sure my form and movement were dialed in. I also received cupping and scraping treatments, which helped tremendously with mobility, recovery, and reducing tightness throughout the process. The entire team at Empower creates such a supportive environment. If you're recovering from surgery or just want to feel strong and capable again, go see Dr. Jason Brieva at Empower Physical Therapy. If you have to cancel within 24hrs they have a firm $50 fee but have no problem leaving patients waiting for 20min+ for no explicable reason. Even once you do cancel all appointments they never stop emailing you and send very sketchy attachments that they refuse to explain!!! Must be some sort of scamming attempt bc they never ever reply to the question of what is in the suspicious attachments they are sending to former patients.

The owner has no integrity on the work that she does for the special needs community. They have another branch in Pomona and I don't know how they survive. I have mixed feelings on NJA therapy. Getting a consultation was easy, and we were set up with a…read morespeech therapist at the corona office. After about 2-3 weeks of visits, we were informed that our therapist (whom my daughter responded really well to) was no longer with the practice and we would be informed when another speech therapist was available to work with us. After about 8 weeks, I received a call saying they were going to be letting us go as patients due to still not having a therapist available. I was upset because my daughters treatment had been set back and we waisted 2 months waiting, when we could have been seeking treatment elsewhere. I explained that I was willing to travel to the other office (45 min away) if they had a speech therapist there that could work with us. The receptionist said that they weren't accepting new speech therapy patients at their other office so I told her we would wait until a new therapist was available at the corona location. Fast forward a couple of weeks and we start treatment for my daughter again. This is where my review is positive. While under treatment, my daughter not only loved going (she's 3 and very reserved), but she was making GREAT improvement. The speech therapist was thorough and went over what we could work on at home in order to help her improve even more. After a few months of treatment, I received a TEXT saying that that weeks appointment would be canceled because our insurance was no longer working with them and they hadn't received insurance payments. This would have been a bummer, but I explained it was actually our last week with that insurance and that we had new, really good, insurance that would take effect at the beginning of the year. I was told to text over a copy of our new insurance card and we would see if it was accepted. I text over everything, excited to continue my daughters treatment and never heard anything back! So in short, great therapists, flaky communication and reliability. They also had a high therapist turnover rate (we had a few In a matter of months) which tells me that management must be bad! I was a nurse prior to staying home with my children and know bad leadership when I see it!
