Once we stepped into the range, Soni was there to guide us through the machinations of what was just explained to ensure that we were proceeding cautiously and safely. The firing experience was excellent. So much trepidation before pulling the trigger for the first time. But my wife and I both eased in, respected the equipment and environment and followed Soni's recommendations as far as grip, stance, etc. We both shot a .22 and a 9mm and even got to walk away with our cardboard target as a memory. The bonus add-on was that if you partake in the package, they offer a 25% discount off your bill at Suds McGuires (right across the street). If you are going just for fun, $18 for a single and $22 for a double per lane. You could also rent the lanes out. Rifles are also allowed and might be what I shoot next. But first baby steps.

The information was engaging and we were able to learn hands on about safely handling, loading, and unloading the guns in the classroom before the range. I had to step out of class a couple of times to take client calls (I tried not to be too rude) but was still able to pass the test with 100% because they make sure you're understanding the content. I have taken my children and grandchildren to "Range USA Mentor" to introduce them to firearms and the rules and practices of firearm safety. Proper handling and respect for firearms is the only way to assure their safety. "Range USA Mentor" has 20 climate controlled shooting lanes with a range marshall on duty at all times. It is clean, well maintained, and well lit. The retail side of the store has something for everyone. They have a wide variety of guns and ammunition to choose from to serve any purpose as well as all the cleaning and maintenance equipment you need. The people are knowledgeable and can answer all your questions. The only reasons I did not give them a 5 star rating is because they are a bit pricey and they no longer have 1/2 hour time slots on the range. You have to buy 1 hour whether you need it or not. Even so... I highly recommend them. Whether you just want to hone your skills or you want to introduce a novice to the sport, it is the place to go.
