Extremely disappointing service - strongly advise avoiding Elite Garage Door…read more Our garage door was working with no issues opening or closing before Elite arrived for routine maintenance. However, immediately after the technician tightened the spring and chain, he ran a few up/down cycles and the motor suddenly stopped functioning (a classic case of over-tightening failure - which will immediately destroy a motor, regardless of age). When we pointed out the suspicious timing, the technician and owner dismissed it as simply due to the motor's age - insisting it had nothing to do with their work - and refused to troubleshoot or repair it further. They still collected their original fee. Worse, the technician offered no solutions and casually mentioned that "this happens to him a lot" - where the motor is operational and then suddenly fails while he is on-site. As a result, we're now stuck with a garage door that operated well before their visit but no longer works at all. A truly frustrating and unprofessional "Elite" experience. Avoid at all costs.

Once it arrived, Randy contacted us to schedule install. On the day of install, Nick showed up on time and was very friendly and proficient. Nick took the time to talk to us about the practicality of installing garage door seals with our uneven stucco. Nick recommended options that would work well and look good. Nick had to come back out a couple of times to adjust the track to ensure it was running smoothly. Both Randy and Nick are great guys and were responsive and attentive every step of the way. Then we looked for Military Veterans Discount. Only D & D Overhead Door survived the due diligence test. They've had Nevada state contractors license number 0029883, Overhead Doors, since 11/21/1989.
