I did an online search and I'm so happy I chose to go to Computer Palace. I called on Saturday morning, November 2, 2024, brought in my 2011 MacBook Air the same day, and it was ready for pick up on Tuesday. I told Fred I think the computer has a corrupted disk and / or something was wrong with my start up disk. He explained to me the various options there might be to repair it, as well as the costs involved. He called me on Tuesday and said it's ready and the total cost is $90.00. When I got home I found that everything was working... just like before. I'm recommending Fred and Computer Palace to anyone that needs help and / or repairs with their computers. Oh, and there's easy free parking in back. read more

I had a broken hinge on my HP laptop, so the screen wouldn't stand up and some of the housing came apart. They identified the issue and fixed it by the next day. Called me right when it was finished to pick it up. Charged me $85 after a 15% Yelp discount and a $20 laptop discount. Computer looks all good. read more

I found Computer Palace on Yelp and so happy that I did! I called and spoke to Navid about my laptop problem, and he told he what he thought was the problem, and ordered the part for me. The technician Fred repaired my laptop quickly and I am very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Computer Palace for your computer needs/repairs. Very fair prices! read more

I tried to install a new keyboard in my laptop. Halfway through my entire laptop was in many many pieces and I was thoroughly frustrated. I put every piece and tiny screw in bags and a box. I was already thinking this laptop may well be done for. I saw the reviews for Computer Palace and took it here. Fred assured me he could put it all back together. When I went to pick it up just a couple days later, I was pleasantly surprised at the workmanship and the price. Fred is an honest man and charged an honest price. I will be taking my computers here from now on. Thank you so much to Computer Palace and Fred in particular!! read more

A huge thank you to Navid for saving the day and, more importantly, saving my data!!! I had a very big and bad ooops moment when a cup of coffee spilled and fried my beloved HP Spectre. I use this laptop for work. It was fiscal year end and I badly needed the data. In a matter of hours, Navid saved the day and my data. I'm truly grateful for his responsiveness, his expertise and knowledge and his professionalism. Thank you!!! read more

OUTSTANDING WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE. My business laptop crashed and the hard drive failed. I did not have a full backup. To say the least I was concerned about the ability to recover the data and the cost. One place I called first quote $500-$1,000 and they send it out to their main office out of Los Angeles. This was not an acceptable option. My computer tech recommended Computer Palace. I dropped the computer off at noon on Thursday. I received a call first thing the next morning. The data was recovered and transferred to an external drive. The existing hard drive was reformatted, and a new version of Windows 11 was installed. The cost was 80% less than any other estimate I received from data recovery companies. Oh, I get to pick it up less than 24 hours after I dropped it off. They are honest. honorable and reliable. read more

I brought my laptop in last week because the hinge broke which also exposed part of the monitor (common issue with HP Envy). Navid had the best price and convenient parking so I took it in. He was able to quickly fix the hinge which was great. An unexpected issue came up with the monitor but he was able to quickly resolve that issue too. I would absolutely come here for any issues with my computer. Thank you! read more

Everyone has a right to choose the rate that they charge for their business, but it's normally a better idea if you can't do something efficiently or effectively then just turn down the work this particular company when I asked them to have somebody program my TV remotes and clean up my Sonos system in groups they sent me back a message that said Well we normally charge $150 an hour for IT work but for Sonos work we're gonna charge you $250 an hour. Buyer beware this is a ridiculous rate for something that is observed. My numbing is doing something such as Sonos, which is really quite easy. I just don't have time to do It read more

Great quality work and timeliness. They were highly responsive and very resonable and finished the screen repair on time.

Charged $45 to "assess" laptop and was told exactly what I already knew. Worthless spot that preys on old rich boomers who don't know any better. read more

I just had a minor issue with my laptop, it wouldn't come on for some reason. Found this place here on yelp and read the reviews and everything they saying is right, great customer service, super reasonable, and fast. Fred is the best, thank you again! Highly recommend. read more

Computer Palace is a professional repair shop with a reasonable and affordable price. I'm as an international student, dealing with laptop not powering on is a real problem. I would recommend this place! read more

We replaced my daughter's MacBook Pro here for a fraction of what other places charge. A battery for this laptop costs $40-70. Why are so many places charging $250+? Anyone who finds it that difficult to replace a laptop battery is probably not qualified to do anything more complicated, like actually repairing a computer! I'll be taking my computer maintenance needs to Computer Palace. read more

I brought my laptop here for repair. Three positives: 1. The price here is cheaper than two other stores I got estimates from. 2. They are responsive to messages and phone calls. 3. The repair was simple for me - just dropped off my laptop then came back after the repair was finished. read more

Navid and his team are fantastic--efficient, ethical, and reasonably-priced. Their work on my laptop was of the highest caliber, and they also advised me of an important issue beyond the service requested. I look forward to coming back with any future needs! read more

Lately my Lenovo desktop was showing signs that something was going and needed to be addressed, so looking through Yelp I found Computer Palace. Taking it in, I spoke to Fred who addressed and rest assure that he'll look at it. Fred did a outstanding, I mean a truly wonderful job at getting my computer up and running better than ever. There are no words enough to praise Computer Palace and in particular Fred who does a wizard work and I'm so indebted to him and who he works for. There are no excepts, Computer Palace is the Best!! read more

Computer Palace and their team helped me salvage a crashed USB that had several years of data on it. I was concerned that I wasn't going to be able to retrieve the files and after two attempts with different software, they got it fixed. They were quick and efficient and I would highly recommend to anyone that finds themselves in this situation. A much better option to the overly priced data recovery option. Highly recommend! read more

My MacBook Air's display stopped working and other places quoted me prices that would basically been almost the price of a new machine. Fred was able to fix the display for a very reasonable price and the process was so simple. I dropped off my laptop, waited for a call a few days later stating it was complete, and I picked up my laptop. I'm hoping I never HAVE to come back here because I love a working computer, but if I need more services, I'll definitely return. read more

Great place. I spilled water on my laptop and went to apple for the Genius Bar help and the woman straight up was like-- you may as well buy a new one because it cause $800 or so to ship to the place to fix it and we're not even sure if we can get it fixed. I took it here and they charged me a rlly reasonable price, it took 2 days and everything works perfectly- like nothing happened! :) read more

They saved my new Mac Air laptop! I fell asleep, tea in hand and you can imagine the rest. I had no idea where to go, I looked up places in my area and saw they had good reviews. They responded immediately and it was 10pm. I was in the next day at 8:30am, and was able to rent another mac while they fixed mine. They are extremely calm, professional and amazing problem solvers. Mine was complicated, it was a full cup of tea that spilled! Each time, something changed, Navid would check in, explain the complications and the proposed fix, and let me know if there was any additional cost. THEY ARE EXTREMELY FAIR IN COST! Navid, not only kept me informed but also confident that we would reach a solution. He is very calm, and actually cares about his customers, from what I observed. I could not have been more satisfied! read more

EDIT: I have bumped them up to three stars because they stuck with it and eventually fixed my computer. Good people have bad days, and I must have caught them on one. Next time though, maybe don't blame a balky shift key on the fact that I was typing too fast. Original review below: --------- So far, not great. Very bad, in fact. I chose this place because of the positive reviews and because they told me that they could do my repair in a day. They were more expensive than other quotes I got, but it seemed worth it for the assurance. So, to back up a bit, I maybe spilled a tiny bit of beer on my laptop. It was an emotional time and I'd appreciate your understanding. My computer still worked fine but the keys were a little sticky. They said they would call me when my replacement keyboard had arrived, and then they would do the repair in a day, no problem. Fine. Took it in, came back in a day. I was a happy customer. But when I got home and took it out of the bag I heard a *thunk* from inside the computer. There was something still loose inside. I took it back -- fighting LA traffic, obs -- and was told "sometimes the glue keeping the battery down wears off." What a crazy coincidence that this happened while they repaired it? Wild. They took it back and said they'd fix it. Another day later, another day fighting traffic. Grabbed the computer, seemed to be working fine. Brought it home and now the shift key only works about a third of the time. (Just look up at all those capitals in this review. And imagine how long that took me. And how annoyed I must be to take the time. That *thunk* took me like three minutes.) So now, they have said that they will let me know when another replacement keyboard is in stock. So I have gone from a computer that worked but was a little sticky, to a computer that now cannot be used for my job, and I have to to find a temporary replacement. I asked by email if they were going to compensate me in any way for messing up the repair twice, a discount or anything for wasting my time? So far...silence. I feel dumb for writing this much, but obviously, I'm annoyed. How are you all doing? Any book recommendations? Stay in touch. We've shared so much. read more

Fixed my Mac that has water damage perfectly. Great service and amazing prices, they fixed my Mac for 350 where Apple quoted 1.5 K.

My laptop (ASUS ROG G14) started having power issues a few weeks ago. I tried everthing within my skill set but I was not able to figure it out. I started looking for a good reputable repair shop since I had important documents on my laptop therefore didn't want to risk taking it to any repair shop unless I trusted it. I saw the good reviews from this Computer Palace and decided to bring it in and I don't regret it! Fred was very professional and knowledgeable and kept in contact when he had updates. They were able determine the problem lied in the motherboard and were able to repair it and at a fair price. I'm glad I brought it here, would definitely recommend Computer Palace! read more

Good job in replacing my MacBook display! Got it back within a day. Was very happy with service

I had a very good experience at Computer Palace. I had a major problem with missing computer files. Navid was extremely kind and generous with his time and expertise, not only on the yelp chat but also on the phone and in person. He took the time to look at the problem, explain several possibilities about the origin, answered my questions, and discussed the potential different options for next steps. He was very kind and patient. I did not feel I was being pushed into spending money on solutions that were unlikely to be effective. All of this he did free of charge. read more

I want to say a huge thank you to Fred at Computer Palace for recommending I take my iMac back to the apple store for a full diagnostic. After receiving a partial diagnostic the apple store had said my harddrive was failing and I could have one installed at a third party. When I arrived at Computer Palace Fred said it sounded more like a logic board issue. I returned to the apple store to have a full diagnostic, and sure enough, they found an issue with the logic board which is a much bigger problem! So his advice was invaluable. He could have taken my money and done the harddrive replacement but he knew it wouldn't ultimately solve my issue. Cannot recommend this store enough, they truly care about the customer and will give wonderful advice. Go here! read more

I don't know that i can talk about the technical aspects of what they did, not qualified, but i can say that they fixed the problem (computer taken over by malware). He (Fred) determined that the malware couldn't be cleaned, so he backed up or copied the hard drive remotely, totally reset and rebooted the computer, and then reinstalled everything. All programs seem to be there, all documents and other records seem to be there, the only thing not there is the remembered passwords, which he told me up front was going to happen, so no surprise on that. He had this done faster than he said it would be completed, called to keep me advised of status and did it on time and on budget for what he originally quoted. My computer is old, from about 2010 or 2011, we honestly discussed whether it paid to fix it or get a new computer (it paid to fix it) and was honest and didn't try to upsell me at all. He also gave me honest opinion that, for a mac, it wasn't really worth getting a virus scanner, that macs were pretty well protected, that the virus scanners weren't perfect and as long as we were careful about clicking on links, should be ok (this was my wife's computer and i'll bet either a friend sent her an email attachment that was infected or she clicked on the wrong link). i would highly recommend him to others and, if i need more work done on a mac, would return to him. Don't know how he does with hardware repairs (broken screens, etc.) since i didn't need that service, but other reviews said they did a good job there. when i called to make the appointment and ask about this, he was happy to provide free advise over the phone and answer my questions. Went above and beyond what you expect, and my repair bill was only $150 so i wasn't a huge income customer for him, yet never felt anything other than important and top priority. He also honored the Yelp discount so that was something good as well. Saved me a little bit of money. read more
