Most importantly she gave me some great tips on trying a new charger to see if that would clear up the problem. I did follow that advice and sure enough it worked. A couple weeks after my daughter was born, I found myself dealing with a Acer laptop that failed to…read morestart after backing up some documents. It was such a bummer because I had just wrote a letter to my daughter that I wanted her to read someday about our hospital experience. So, I ended up looking for an IT repair shop using the Yelp Projects app and heard from Dustin at Click IT in Marietta. I got several estimates but Dustin's note stood out to me. The cost for diagnosis seemed reasonable, and it was a very small price to pay to have the laptop looked at to see if data recovery could be performed and the laptop repaired. He was very responsive to my inquiry and questions. I was very anxious but decided to give it a whirl. Over the next several weeks, the laptop underwent repair, troubleshooting, and testing to see if it was recoverable. Data recovery could only be performed by a third party vendor which was separate to the laptop repair. Then, the laptop power source failed and the battery conked out too. I starting losing hope that the laptop could be repaired. It survived graduate school at Kennesaw State and many years of productivity for both work, school, and personal usage. Dustin, Amelia, and even Tony stepped in the job and pulled off what appeared to be a miracle by methodically replacing parts of the latop and giving it new life with a 1TB hard drive and brand new power supply. These laptops are not easy to fix, so well worth the money and time spent to bring it back to life. The service, overall value, and care I received is certainly there with Click IT Marietta. I would most certainly recommend giving Dustin and his team a shot at your business if you are experiencing computer issues. I am proud to say the letter I wrote for my Tallulah was recovered along with many other important professional documents. I can't thank them enough as the laptop will be put to use as I look for a new job in the Atlanta metro area.

And to tell you how amazing he IS, I'm writing this review probably 2 years after he helped me. He repaired my 2008 MacBook Pro after I started having hard drive issues, he installed a new hard drive quickly, and I've never had another issue with my machine. Yes, he works out of his home, but he and his wife are just SALT OF THE EARTH people and I felt totally comfortable going into his home all alone. I'll use him again and again as long as he is open.

We exchanged a few texts and I was invited to his house to drop off my laptop. The survival mode in me found it a bit sketchy, but again, trust. His home was inviting and had plenty German vehicles out front. It reminded me of the Apple and German relationship. Do your research. Not the best connection, but it was a good omen for me. Anyway, he kept my computer for a day or two. I'm writing this review at the end of 2019 and he fixed my computer in late 2018. So, my memory isn't quite precise on the little details. Cartsen revealed to me that my motherboard needed to replaced, due to water damage. This didn't come as a surprise. I spilled water on my 2015 MacBook Air in 2016, in which it finally blew out on me in August 2018... Cartsen gave me the option of ordering the part myself, so I did to save some coins (from Ebay). The part arrived, I dropped it off and he had my computer up in running like new! I believe it was just an overnighter. Once it was time for pick up, I met his lovely pup. I don't remember the breed, but look at this beautiful gentle giant. He was the sweetest thing ever and the highlight of my experience! Thank you again, Cartsen.
