Kevin is terrific and has superb associates. As good as Kyle was, and that was very good, Koal is even better. These guys get right on the job and get it right. They are in sync with the most recent developments in the field and it is always an education working with them. You really have to drag me kicking and screaming to get me to get my computer serviced - but I recommend Computer Doctor without reserve. The best service and customer service on the Central Coast. And the prices are not merely fair, they're downright generous. read more

Fast, friendly and efficient service! Excellent value from Kevin! He fixed my windows login problem as well as a huge printer problem that I had been dealing with for more than a year and fixed an unbelievably slow start up. He also correctly installed another program for me. My machine runs great now, better than EVER. I would highly recommend him to anyone! read more

After a power outage, our home computer just simply did not want work as it used to. My husband called the Computer Doctor after looking at the positive Yelp reviews. They actually told us someone could come right out, but we were actually heading out the door to run some errands. So we arranged for someone to come out the next morning. They were on time and fixed our computer in no time. I wish my husband would have gotten the guys name, but he did not. My husband said he answered all his questions and was very courteous and professional. Price was very reasonable too. We know this is now the "go-to" people if we ever have issues with our computer again. read more

There is no way there is a better computer repair person than Kevin at Computer Doctor (and I probably have tried them all). I have hired him for the last four years. Yes, he knows his stuff, but even better - he is personable, doesn't talk down to you and will move mountains to help in a crisis. My computer had a scary screen one morning right before I left for a business trip. I was in total panic, I couldn't do anything. I called Kevin, he had a meeting in an hour but rushed over and took my tower. He dropboxed the power points I needed, repaired the problem and brought it back to my house. He is ethical, smart and genuinely a nice person. If you are not 100% satisfied I will give you a money back guarantee. :) He is that good!!!! read more

I'm the IT guy for our family. Unfortunately, I was out of state when the custom desktop I built for my computer-dependent dad decided to corrupt it's windows install. Windows would hang and never boot to a desktop. Multiple attempts to recover windows failed, and trying to get my dad to create a windows install USB drive were beyond his willingness to comprehend. I also couldn't have him buy a disc because they are not sold by MS anymore and sending him a USB drive would be too much downtime. So basically, I needed someone to do a fresh install of windows, install graphics drivers, configure the 3-monitor setup and that was it. I looked around SLO and SB county for someone near Pismo Beach, but nearly all the computer repair businesses that seemed reputable were closed on the weekend, except for Computer Doctor. When I called Kevin and explained the situation he understood, gave me a quote, and was available in about ~2hours from when I called on a Saturday. He arrived at my dad's house, texted me that he arrived, performed the work, and then texted me when he finished and that everything went smoothly. Literally couldn't have been a better experience. I will be referring anyone in my situation to him and surely contacting him again in the future when windows decides to spectacularly fail again. Kevin, if you're ever in the San Fran area and are interested in a tour of Google let me know! Thanks again, Justin read more

We have two PCs and a MAC all misbehaving and giving us fits. We called Kevin who came to our home on a Saturday afternoon. He worked on the computers for 90 minutes, cleaning out junk and viruses etc. Kevin explained what he was doing in laymen's terms making sure we were comfortable with what changes were made before he made any more. We are so fortunate to have found Kevin - he is the best computer repairman ever and will be our only call in future. Would highly highly recommend him. read more

A definite 5 star! After having read reviews about this business, I decided this would be the place for me to take my computer. Kevin, the Computer Doctor went above and beyond, providing me with excellent service. He quoted me one price originally, however when the final bill came, it was about $70 cheaper. Very nice person... My computer works wonderfully now. Take your computer to Kevin, the Computer Doctor! You will be pleased with the service he provides! read more

Considering all of the glowing reviews for this business, I'm thinking I must have caught them on a bad day. My Macbook Pro was giving me a message that the battery needed service. I requested a quote via Yelp and got an almost immediate response, which I appreciated. Kevin said they'd have to see it to know what was wrong. I brought it in and Koal told me they'd get right on it and would even expedite it. Because it was a Friday afternoon, I was prepared to wait, but Koal assured me they'd get back to me later that evening or the next morning. I had to call the next day. No answer, but Kevin called me right back. He didn't know anything about my computer, telling me he was "between games." He said he'd check with Koal about the status and get back to me. He did, 3.5 hours later! He told me they were "confounded" and needed more time to figure it out. Since the computer was still working, I arranged to pick it up (at a gas station, where I had to wait 15-20 minutes for Kevin). While very polite and apologetic, he seemed evasive. He repeated that they were "confounded" and needed more time, but assured me they were confident they could fix it (how, if you don't know what's wrong?). He encouraged me to bring in the machine the following week. Not feeling good about our interaction, I found someone else who told me over the phone that I just needed a new battery. That was, in fact, the solution. I much prefer that a merchant be honest with me. In this case, I think no one at Computer Doctor had a chance to look at the Mac and Kevin was stalling by saying they couldn't figure out what was wrong (which caused me to worry unnecessarily that I had a serious problem that might not be fixable or would cost a lot of money). Considering the outcome, this is better than thinking they couldn't see that it just needed a new battery. read more

So right after Christmas my son broke the LCD screen on his new Wii U. Argh! I couldn't find anyone to fix it and I wasn't going to dare and attempt it myself. I messaged Kevin and asked if he knew anything about it and he said no but looked it up and is confident he could fix it. Which they did and did quickly. I will use them again when I have any type of computer issue. read more

Best place to have repairs. Staples kept my computer for thee days before even looking at it. After the 72 hours and not being repaired I removed my Laptop. I then called Computer Doctor and Kevin had my Laptop and my IPad repaired in less than 12 hours from the time I gave him both items. Gloria read more

Koal and Kevin are the best. They had my computer for a week due to Memorial Day weekend. That part was really hard for me. They were determined to make my Dell desktop new again as it was less than one year old. How did this happen: Windows 10 forced a 2-hour update one evening and the next morning I had a black screen. I tried all the usual stuff but Win 10 doesn't offer a "restore to a certain point" anymore, only a complete reset. At least that was all I could get out of it and decided to take it in. We moved to Lompoc in March so we had no clue who to go to, so we believed in the reviews and took a chance with Computer Doctor. Not only did Koal and Kevin reset my baby, they fixed Outlook settings- long story but now I can use 2007 Outlook again with ease. Thanks guys so very much. I am swimming along and have been since I got my computer back - sorry it took so long to thank you. Cathy Wagner read more

What can I say? Does GREAT, GREAT and GREAT cover it? I'm not sure I can find enough adjectives to describe Kevin ~ except to say that he is the best and I feel beyond lucky to have found him. I left my computer off with his very friendly wife in the late afternoon. That night, Kevin called me and said he had fixed the problem but wanted to deliver the computer back to me and check the wireless environment in our home and my router. Not only did he do all that, he fixed up two of my other laptops while he was here. People just can't GET that kind of personalized service anymore. And, while I'm talking about personalized, I can't fail to mention Kevin's very friendly and personable personality. He was a delight and, while I hope I don't need his services often, I wouldn't hesitate to call on him again. Neither should you. If you need a knowledgeable, friendly and proficient computer repairman, do yourself a favor and call Kevin at the Computer Doctor. Oh, and one last thing. His prices. Seriously, I was impressed. You will be too. Thanks so much, Kevin. You're one in a million! read more

I hired Kevin from Computer Doctor to install a server in my medical office. This was a big change for our office as our six computers were not networked properly and I wanted to install a server computer. I scheduled a time for Kevin to come in and I was extremely impressed with his efficiency and knowledge regarding setting up a server and networking my six computers. I even had a laptop computer that was not working properly and Kevin went above and beyond his duties by fixing this laptop. I was simply amazed with his work and dedication to my computer issues. I also felt Kevin was honest and generous with his time. I would recommend him for any complex or simple computer issue and will continue to use his services for any future computer repair and service. Thank you again Kevin. read more

Called because our printer would not work. Received prompt response and service [ faulty printer settings] which seemed to solve issues. A couple of days later the printer again would not print. Another call-again prompt service. This time the computer would not interface with the printer. He restored functionality without additional charge. Can't ask more than that. read more

I got a virus on my computer. It would not even boot up or load windows. Kevin took it for a few days, and when he gave it back to me, everything was there. I had many people tell me that I would just need to buy a new one, but if you know who to look for when something like this happens, you can save yourself lots of money!! I never thought I would have gone from not being able to turn my computer on, to having everything work perfectly (not to mention added free software to protect my computer against it happening again). It has never had a problem since. Kevin did a great job! read more

Well I just want to say that everyone should use the Computer Doctor! I had a defective laptop screen. I took it to another place in the area before Computer Doctor. I had such a bad experience with it, that I was giving up on getting it fixed. That place had terrible customer service, kept my computer for about a month, and never would call you when you asked them, then they had the nerve to ask me to pay for the part before it came in or got fixed, they were sure it was coming and this was a month in, I was giving them a chance because someone recommended them to me. I finally went in took it back and they kept saying over and over the part is coming. The part never came. This was in May. I finally took it to Kevin at the Computer Doctor in Aug. He had the computer fixed in less then a week, got the part the other place couldn't get in 4 days and brought it to me house, when I said I would go pick it up. THIS IS SUPER DUPER CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ME, Computer Doctor if I could give it 10 stars I would. All my computer work will now go there. Thank You! One happy customer. When customer service is wonderful, they deserve the attention and praise. read more
