If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I don't feel like my words can do justice to how I feel…read moreabout the incredible therapists and staff at this practice. This past July, I hurt myself during yoga (a result and mix of over-exercising/working out/pandemic stress) and I was referred to this practice. Before then, I had never injured myself physically and was experiencing - what I soon came to recognize - a high level of anxiety previously unknown to me. As someone who always felt extremely strong, both physically and mentally, I felt like a stranger in my own body. Dr. Niv (Zack) was my primary therapist and (while I wish I had never injured myself or had to learn what anxiety was) I consider it a major blessing that of all the PT's in the world, I somehow happened to find him. He is an expert, serious professional, and all around fantastic human being. I have never felt more safe, taken care, understood, or truly heard by a health care professional ever in my life. The care I received was always personalized and thoughtful. I always felt like he wanted to hear what was on my mind/concerns/etc. His understanding of the body and mind is incredible. My treatment always felt like an extremely educated and human approach. Something I (and everyone else) desperately needed. I could go on! While I am essentially recovered, I wish I could visit this practice every week. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough. Also noteworthy: The front desk staff are amazing - incredibly easy to make or change an appointment, assist with insurance/billing related questions or problems. The facility is clean & welcoming. I would love to share my experience further with anyone considering a visit.

As a full time dentist, my body takes a real beating, especially my lower back, so finding the right physical therapist was extremely important to me. I came in dealing with ongoing back pain and was starting to think more seriously about whether surgery might eventually be necessary. Since working with Conner, that trajectory has shifted in a very meaningful way. I'm not claiming magic, but so far I've been able to avoid surgery, and that is a huge win. What I really appreciate is that this is not the typical fluffy PT experience with endless generic stretches and exercises that don't feel connected to real strength or function. Conner takes a much more thoughtful approach. We do careful progressive overload with real attention to form, limitations, and precautions for my back. So I'm not just getting physical therapy. I'm also able to keep up with my training and strength work at the same time. That combination has been incredibly valuable for me. Conner is also just a pleasure to work with. He is easy to talk to, a great conversationalist, and he makes the sessions feel fun, challenging, and encouraging without ever losing sight of safety. He knows how to push appropriately while still being careful. The new facility is another big plus. It feels modern, professional, and well set up for both rehab and training, which fits this style of treatment perfectly. It does not feel like a stale or overly clinical PT office. The early morning hours work really well for my schedule, and the location is very convenient and easy to access by the L train. Being so central in Manhattan makes it easy to get to. Overall, it feels like a win win. I'm addressing my back pain seriously while also continuing to build strength instead of putting my whole physical life on pause. Highly recommend Conner and PhysioRX.

I asked several times during the phone call after already filling out a lengthy form, and just got more dialogue instead of a rate.

I am what many would consider to be a senior citizen ( I certainly don't feel like that), and thanks to Keith I am now deadlifting my own body weight - 115 pounds ! I find the workouts to be far more challenging than I would ever do on my own and also the fun factor is a huge plus! I have met many people who dealing with serious injuries at Perfect Stride but the atmosphere is so upbeat and supportive there is this sense that recovery is always in reach and being told things like " You are not your MRI" really helps. My first review was in 2016 and nine years later I still love Perfect Stride for healing and strength!

I can not say enough great things about Perfect Stride!! I've been working with Vikash for over six…read moremonths, and he is by far the best PT I have worked with in over a decade as a competitive high school + D3 college athlete turned runner into adulthood. I came in after dealing with more than half a year of chronic pain in multiple places--my knee, hamstring, and random spots--that had completely sidelined my running. I had already tried several well-known running PT clinics around the city and continued to end up with lingering pain and zero trust in my providers or recovery plan. By the time I found Vikash, I was frustrated, burned out, and extremely fearful that I'd never get back to running. From day one, Vikash was different. He was the only PT who actually listened to what I'd been experiencing. He took the time to understand the full picture and built a thoughtful, personalized plan instead of a one-size-fits-all routine. What made the biggest difference, though, was how he guided me through the recovery process with positivity. I was extremely pessimistic when I started but overtime with his thoughtful and supportive approach, I began to feel more hopeful. He helped me understand that pain isn't always a setback, taught me how to work through it safely, and reframed how I think about my body and training. Those skills have been genuinely life-changing, and I know I'll carry them with me as an athlete forever. Recovery wasn't always easy, and there some bumps throughout the process, but I really would not be where I am today without Vikash. I'm now not only out of chronic pain but actively training again. Even though I have occasional flare ups, I have so much more understanding about how to work through them and not fear injury/pain as an athlete. I'm continuing to work with Vikash on a structured running plan, building a strong running base for next year's races, and I feel stronger, more confident, and more mentally prepared than I have in a very long time. If you're a runner--or honestly any athlete--who feels stuck, discouraged, or unheard dealing with lingering pain, I highly recommend Perfect Stride!

My first injury, Dr. Stark correctly diagnosed the issue, a torn meniscus, when the ER doctor was convinced it was a torn/sprained MCL. Did rehab with PT and got back to normal. He did suggest doing an injection into the joint, but I opted not to. Frozen shoulder was an issue, but I was able to get back to normal after doing trigger point Neil-Asher technique. Tom is an amazing PT! He's like House M.D. for physical therapy. After ignoring a weird feeling in my calf and knee, I pulled my hamstring during an 8 mile run for half marathon training with only 5 weeks left before the half. I took a week off and went to Dr. Stark and started PT with Tom. He helped me with taping and exercises/scraping to get the muscle to release. Then he diagnosed a nerve issue with my sciatica which was the actual root cause of the issues that I've had with hamstring. I was able to build my miles back to 9 miles. I finished my half marathon (not a super fast time) and my leg has never felt better - no weird sensations, regained by leg strength doing the exercises. I'm training for my next half marathon and no longer need the tape for my hamstring.

The first time I met Vinita I had woken up with a frozen lower back and hobbled into Stroma using a cane. Vinita methodically evaluated not only my lower back but my movement patterns. Her commanding expertise and years of experience as a physical therapist were immediately apparent. Vinita's hands on work on my lower back and legs gave me immediate relief. The therapy dramatically reduced the inflamed area. I was amazed to walk out of Stroma totally normal. It was nothing short of a miracle. The session was followed up with additional sessions with Vinita to make sure the lower back was fine. In addition she created an exercise program for me to strengthen my back to prevent future problems. The PT aid assigned to work with me was exceptionally precise in monitoring how I was doing the exercises and in explaining the importance and benefits of correct form. Since then I've had other injuries and I'm always confident when I go to see Vinita that she will put me on the path to recovery. It's also great that the staff is friendly and efficient and Vinita is punctual. On the rare occasions she's running late it's because she spends quality time with each of her patients until an issue is resolved. When she's fully booked and I've had to wait to see Vinita it's totally worth it because a session with her makes such an enormous difference. Most physical therapy offices are cold and clinical but here the space is beautiful, there's state of the art exercise equipment, and soothing music that provides a warm environment. The practice feels like a sanctuary for healing. I feel lucky to be able to work with Vinita and the Team at Stroma. Before they ever even ask what ails you, the only thing that was emphasized was that the therapist I was referred to see is too good for my insurance, so I'll have to see whoever is lowest on their price list, and that I must pay my deductibles upfront, which I refused, as I worked in a doctor's office and knew that's not right. I can't believe I went against my instinct and actually gave them a try. Sent me 1 bill for the 1 visit, followed by a threatening phone call that if it's not paid, they'll start collection's procedure. I made great progress over a year and a half duration with physical therapy from walking with a cane to being able to walk for over 20 minutes at a time without it. I was doing exercises for my hip at least 3-4 times a week minimum. I started going to CSCM early December (a month and a half ago) to get work done on my pelvic floor, going 2 times a week. Within 2-3 sessions I noticed a significant difference in my hip function. Before the sessions, my hip would crack out of place about 15 times a day. After being treated here, my hip cracks maybe once a day tops. My pain has also decreased a significant amount and I have been able to move around better. I am honestly in disbelief/shock still that this has helped me so much with my hip. I am still getting treated here and still a work in progress but I am confident that with this treatment I will be back to my very active self sooner rather than later. I see Anastasia there and I can't say enough good things about her. She makes you feel extremely comfortable and I've never seen someone so incredibly passionate and dedicated to her work. I have been to multiple physical therapists over the years for this and other injuries and almost lost hope before meeting Anastasia. If you are having any type of hip /pelvic pain or anything related I highly suggest you at the very least speak with Anastasia to see what they might be able to help you with! Thank you CSCM!!
