Excellent Physical Therapy Care I was referred to physical…read moretherapy for plantar fasciitis after cortisone injections did not resolve the issue. I received treatment at Spear PT's Upper East Side location on 3rd Avenue between 67th and 68th Streets, where my physical therapist was Ronique James. After eight weeks of treatment, I am now almost pain-free. Ronique was smart, caring, and attentive throughout the process. She listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions about my condition, and checked in regularly about which parts of the treatment felt too difficult, which exercises were helpful, and how I was progressing. She also varied the exercises, which kept the treatment from becoming repetitive or boring. Her approach reflected a strong understanding of my condition and the appropriate combination of care, including massage, ultrasound, stretching, and strengthening exercises. Ronique was always on time and consistently gave me the time and attention I needed. The administrative side of the experience was equally smooth. Scheduling appointments, coordinating insurance payments, and handling related details were all seamless. The staff was friendly, efficient, and consistently got everything right the first time. The facility itself was clean, organized, and well equipped, which made the overall experience even better.

My first few sessions I was always handed off to a technician, which I did not like at all. However the last few sessions I had was with my PT. My session times now are usually before noon so that probably is why, it's not too crazy busy but still full. My PT is attentive and will now move me up in resistance! Super exited about that! Location is clean and has lockers to put all my winter gear. Really enjoy my weekly sessions!

I am extremely concerned now because this year I have been receiving new invoices for appointments that happened over two years ago. i paid all co-pays at the time of my appointment and the rest was covered by insurance which they would mail me proof of coverage. i no longer am in this insurance due to new jobs. when I've called Spear to confirm these new charges for appointments two years prior they just say it's something that wasn't covered and do not give further insight. this is BIZZARE and I have never experienced this with any other health professional. if something wasn't covered by insurance or in my previous payment, why wasn't I billed TWO YEARS AGO???? they are now threatening to send me to collections. in good conscious I can no longer recommend them and post this review as a sincere warning to potential patients.

I have been seeing Jon Doyle at Spear for two months and I'm very happy there. The facility is…read moreclean, neat and cheery, and everyone is respectful and friendly. I have been making a lot of progress with recovery from my injury and I am sure that's because of Jon's guidance. He's very careful to always check in with me and make sure that I'm working hard enough, but not too hard, and that nothing ever hurts. It's a big open space, staffed by about 2-4 therapists at a time plus 1-4 assistants and students (plus client care staff at the front). Intake appointments are never double-booked, so you've got your therapist's full attention. After that, it seems that patients are scheduled about 1-2 per PT every half hour, for each hour-long session. I have not found it to be a problem to have Jon working with me and other patients at the same time. He always starts a session by talking with me and giving me his full attention. Often when I am doing an exercise that I already know and feel comfortable with, he will step away to work with another patient for a few minutes. Sometimes he'll spend the first 30 min of my appointment with me, then give a list of exercises to one of the assistants and have them walk me through them. But when I need his help, he's always there. At the end of a session, they always offer ice or heat to cool down and rest. Maybe it's the endorphins from having just worked my body, or maybe it's the healing vibes in the air, but I always get a warm fuzzy feeling watching everyone else in the room. Everyone is either working to become stronger, or helping others heal their bodies. It's a beautiful thing.

The therapists here are good (the only reason it's two stars), but the way they schedule is…read moreridiculous. The therapists have little time with you because they're bouncing back and forth between patients and that is when they HAVEN'T double-booked (which they call "accommodation" as though they asked you if it was alright to do).

The physical therapist, PAPE, was absolutely amazing. He gives quality outstanding service his clients. He is professional, compassionate, patient, Top tier customer service skills, Knowledgeable and passionate about his profession but still eager and open minded to learn more. I was having difficulty with an AOS brace my doctor recommended and he admitted he was not familiar with the brace, but he didn't give up on helping me until he figured it out and then explained it to me. I'm really sad I cannot continue working with him at Park North. This is the 2nd time in my life I've done physical therapy, and this experience left a long lasting impression on me. My first experience was nothing compared to what I've learned from Pape in a brief period of time. The world needs more people like Pape. Thank you so much.

It was so bad that I wasn't sure I'd ever be pain free without surgery, but after 8 weeks of working with Pape I am able to do everything I could do before the injury. I must add that PT only works if you put the work in. Pape gave me the tools to get better, and went above and beyond to help me. Thank you to Pape and all the Park North staff!
