It has been almost a year but I cannot shake how unhappy I was with the back and forth with this office. Long story short, they wanted to prescribe a birth control pill for my endometriosis. Fair enough, and pretty standard. I have cirrhosis of the liver, and decided to check with both my liver doc and the pharmacist, who both said NOT to take the medication. This office insisted they knew better than the experts on both my liver and the drugs. Just bad form. That being said, Lola the sonographer was actually a delight and put me at ease. If it was just that procedure, I'd give 5 stars. read more

Dr. Sean Sadler at Comprehensive OBGYN is the absolute best at what she does! She was very patient with me and my wishes and concerns with 3 of my pregnancies. She delivered 3 of our 4 babies, and if we had lived in Texas when our first was born, she would have delivered all 4. Highly recommended. I am not a paid spokesperson, just a very happy patient. Super attentive, patient, knowledgeable, funny, and approachable. And, her nurse Bridgett is a gem. By the way, Dr. Sadler delivered my babies at 3 different hospitals, based on my preference: Allen Presbyterian, McKinney Medical Ctr (Medical City now), and Baylor McKinney. This is a very vulnerable post. I truly tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but my experience was extremely difficult and ultimately took a toll on my mental health. I decided to switch OBs because I couldn't continue feeling the way I did. I first came here very early in my pregnancy--around three weeks--and was told by multiple doctors that I was having twins. Sadly, I later experienced a vanishing twin, which I understand can happen. On the same day I learned that, they recommended additional bloodwork. Unfortunately, the lab submitted my bloodwork incorrectly, and the results came back with alarming and inaccurate findings. When I reached out for clarification, it took a long time to get any answers, and when I went in person, the doctor I spoke with showed little compassion. The entire situation was handled unprofessionally and left me feeling anxious and scared throughout my pregnancy. I wouldn't recommend this office to expecting mothers. No one should have to experience that kind of stress during such a vulnerable time. read more

They do not answer the phone, and shut the phones off early during the work by day with no option to leave a message. Additionally, some of the most disappointing care when not with the doctor. My wife went there for an appointment and was rushed out with less than 5 minutes of an appointment with a supposed "specialist" and left crying. I just experienced the most horrendous treatment at this office. I have had my annual exam scheduled for a year in advance and I confirmed all the reminders then showed up early for my appointment and checked in with all of the paperwork, then was told that my doctor would be at least 45 minutes late due to delivering a baby. Apparently at this office, they do not schedule separate office days from delivery days And they will not accommodate you by seeing another practitioner. You're just out of luck, oh well. I asked to speak to the office manager who had zero sympathy and zero customer service skills. She was actually the rudest most unprofessional person I've ever met in my entire life. My only option was to wait at least 45 minutes or to reschedule. That is absolutely unacceptable and I've never experienced this at any other practice in the 40 or so years I have been getting an annual exams. Because of this treatment with an unacceptable resolution, I said I would be leaving the practice and she basically said good riddance. I would like to add that the girl at the desk, the receptionist was extremely sweet and kind and very understanding then very helpful. Helping me fill out the transfer forms to transfer my records to a different provider. I will actually miss Dr. Chan because I liked her very much but their office practices and their treatment of patients is deplorable. If you care about your time and if your time matters, then I would avoid this office like the plague. They have no respect for your time, they do not value you and I don't even bother with customer service or kindness. Run don't walk away from this practice. WORST experience ever with any doctor's office. During my first appointment with Dr. Luciani, he talked the whole time to the point where I forgot most of my questions, he literally answered a legitimate medical question with "because you're crazy", he made a comment about a laboring mom in his care who had refused Pitocin and a c-section after a long and painful over 20-hour labor saying "but of course my patients know better than that," and I had no time to ask about a medication that he prescribed me at the tail-end 2 minutes of the appointment. Nevertheless, I tried to dismiss his jokes and comments as humor, and I later asked the receptionists if it would be possible to come back for a further and more in-depth appointment with Dr. Luciani, as I had only spent maybe 15 minutes with him, if that. Obviously, I still had various questions about his philosophies, statistics, and standard of care. I'm supposed to decide after 10-15 minutes who is bringing my first baby into the world? They acted again, as they did in all except one of my experiences with their receptionists, beyond rude, treating me as if my request was completely unreasonable. They directed me to his bio page on their website, which I informed them I had obviously already read in detail. They eventually told me "We don't do that", regarding my request for an extended appointment, to which I asked the same question I've proposed in this review, "So you're telling me I'm supposed to commit to this doctor bringing my child into the world when I've spent maybe 10-15 minutes with him? I have no idea how he feels about c-sections, induction, or whether he requires moms to birth on their backs. I know literally nothing about this doctor outside of his view on vaccines." They told me that they would have an office manager call me back. Surprise, surprise. They never did. Nevertheless, even after all of this, I went back for several more appointments. I really appreciated his stance on vaccines and thought that it would be difficult to find another OBGYN who wouldn't push my boundaries on vaccination, and I just really hoped that things would get better here. They did not. During my second sonogram appointment that was scheduled with Dr. Luciani, I was informed when I arrived that I would not be seeing the doctor anymore and would be seeing a sonographer instead. They also changed the timing of this appointment on the day of and only notified me of this change by email. During my appointment with the sonographer, who was genuinely so sweet and so kind, I asked if I could FaceTime my husband, who was unable to make this particular appointment. As it was my second sonogram, and the first one where the baby looks more like a baby and less like an alien, we were both really excited about it. The sonographer kindly informed me of a facility policy where patients are unable to record or photograph any sonograms unless the doctor is present. Therefore, because my doctor missed my appointment for some unknown reason, my husband didn't get to see the first sonogram where our baby was actually actively moving. As if this wasn't enough, the nurse practitioner that I frequently saw was exceedingly rude, and never told me that the genetic testing I was having done would contain my baby's gender. Therefore, I opened my patient portal results one morning to find out that surprise! Baby is a boy! Which completely ruined the gender reveal dinner that my husband and I had planned for the two of us. I could go on and on! They had TWO people call me once after doing my bloodwork and said that it was "urgent" that I call them back. Obviously, I'm freaking out when I get their voicemails, thinking they've discovered my baby had Down syndrome or another genetic abnormality. I spent 45 minutes trying to get ahold of them, only to finally be told that my results were normal! Are you kidding me? Another separate time, they called and left me a voicemail after hours on a Friday to speak to me about my lab results. Obviously, if you're calling me an hour after closing on a Friday, I'm going to be concerned that something is terribly wrong. I called back, couldn't get through to anyone, so I selected the option for the on-call midwife. After 20 minutes, I'm finally able to get in touch with her, and she lets me know that she doesn't have access to my records and that I'll have to check Monday, but that it's probably nothing and that sometimes people work late to finish updating patients on lab results. While I appreciated her reassurance, it really didn't do much for me, because, again, I'm still going to have to wait until Monday to hear about these results. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Go see Dallas Women's Wellness, they're AMAZING. They take an hour in the first appointment to answer all your questions. They're so kind, they're a midwifery within a hospital if you want the best of both worlds, and they offer water birth! Best experience there so far. read more

Everyone was very professional and nice when I was there for my appointment. My only complaint is that it took so long for someone to get back with me about my results. I called and left 2 messages two different days and finally someone called me back, however I was at work and missed the call. I called right back (within 5 min) and was told that they are in clinic now. No one called me back so after 4 hours I called back and no one would answer the phone even though they had 30 minutes before they closed. It is very frustrating to have to wait for someone to go over your results. read more

Dr. Chan is very discriminating and will terminate you from the office if you complain about her or leave her a 1 star review. My lab results got lost and I never heard back from her. Two months later now I have still not heard back from her, instead the clinic manger called me and stated I was terminated from the office which no reasons why or any further explains. They are quick to get money from you but will never reach out to you with your results. Extremely unprofessional and lack true and genuine care for their patients. read more

If you're looking for an OB, Dr. Kirsch is absolutely amazing! She helped me through a rough loss two years ago and then recently helped me carry out a healthy pregnancy and delivery with my rainbow baby. I never once felt rushed at my appointments and she listened to all of my concerns. Her nurse Bre was always super responsive and encouraged me to always reach out if I was ever nervous. I will go back to Dr. Kirsch for my future pregnancies!! read more

I really Hope they aren't scamming everyone like this. I was seen in mid November. Today is February 16th. They told me I needed to pay way more than my insurance quoted me for an appointment. I even showed them my Cigna quote for their offices for the exact same code of appointment. (My husband works in the insurance field and he knows how they bill) yet they refused to allow me to have my appointment until less I paid the higher price. So I did, after they assured me I could get a refund IF I was right. The dr gave me two referrals. One was not in my network and the other never even contacted me. I had no info to get ahold of them either. Fast forward to today. After MULTIPLE messages and phone conversations they call me to tell me my check is ready. Yet never told me it was at a different office. And the lady at the front desk was incredibly rude to me. Definitely hope y'all are checking to make sure they aren't trying to keep your money as well! I won't be going back. read more

Update, the doctors have definitely gotten better and nursing staff as well. However the billing department is just as bad. Had a well woman's exam which is to be covered entirely by insurance just to then be billed for a regular office visit since I mentioned to the doctor I had PCOS (doctor asked me if I have any questions or concerns). Needless to say after giving them a second shot I will still be finding another OBGYN even if this one is the closest and I like the doctor. read more

My general doctor recommended this practice to me. I met with Dr Reyes who did a wonderful job putting a 3 step treatment plan together for my health issues I've been having for over a year. I scheduled my first 2 appts a month out since I have sporadic days off work and wanted to make sure I had my appts set up. They rescheduled both of my appts back to back. And when I requested my patient portion for my first appt 72 hours in advance of my appt by voicemail cause no one was picking up they called me at 7am to wake me up and give it to me the day of my appt. Then contacted me at 10:30am to reschedule because they didn't have a technician to do treatment. They aren't efficient with how they run their office and aren't thinking of their patients feelings. We need these treatments done urgently. Wouldn't recommend them and am looking for another office. read more

Almost died. DO NOT GO HERE. I was recommended to a midwife here, but began losing my pregnancy during week 6, so the only person who could see me was the nurse practitioner. It took 3 appointments to confirm it was not a "viable pregnancy". On the 3rd appointment, the ultrasound tech caught an ectopic pregnancy and told the NP. The NP assured me the ultrasound tech was wrong, contacted Dr. Chan who was also sure that the ultrasound tech got it wrong. They recommended me to a new ultrasound tech after telling me that the one who caught the ectopic didn't know what she was talking about. Turned out it WAS an ectopic pregnancy, which ruptured 7 hours later in the middle of the night. Ended up in the ER and lost one of my Fallopian tubes. I repeat... DO NOT GO HERE. read more

More concerned about their copay than the health of my daughter and unborn grandchild They literally told her if she didn't have $238 for the THIRTY TWO week visit they wouldn't make her appt What is she supposed to do have the baby at home? I can't imagine being treated as poorly as she has during my first pregnancy when everything is so unknown and scary She tried to switch but no one will take a new patient at 8 months pregnant unfortunately. I absolutely would not recommend this office. Sadler was my OB dr 10 years ago at the old office. Now she practices at this office. I trust her as my previous OB experience. I was scheduled for my surgery on Thursday. The surgery scheduler wrote down the information on the paper: " I need to be at the MC Kinney hospital on Wednesday, the day before the surgery, at 07:30 am for payment and getting my blood test at 08:00 am". I was there on time. But they did not fax the paper to the hospital. The hospital did not have my surgery scheduled in the system. I called the office and left the message. She was not there. The office staff told me that they tried to contact her, and they asked me to wait there. Finally, she called me and left 2 messages at 09:18 and 9:23 that I come there early for my blood test. She told me that she just faxed the paper there. I can come back to do the blood test at 2:00. They let me wait a long time at the hospital for nothing and they want me to come back to do the blood test. I was at work. I could not come when they change my appointment without letting me 24 hours ahead. This is the worst experience with this clinic. I would not come back there. The clinic needs to change their surgery schedule system if they want to keep the patient. Don't go to this clinic. Updated: I came to the office to request my medical record today. The office manager wants me to pay 300 usd for not canceling the surgery schedule. They never did schedule my surgery with the hospital. The young man who helped me to call the hospital surgery scheduler. They never faxed my information to the hospital. The hospital surgery scheduler called their office about my surgery information when I was sitting there, and their office staff was acting like they didn't know anything about my surgery tomorrow. I called their office. They saw my phone number and transferred to their voicemail. They asked me to pay 300 usd for not canceling the surgery which they never scheduled with the hospital. Their office is unprofessional in handling the surgery schedule. I would not recommend anyone to this office. They told that it would take 15 days for my medical record. Let see when I will receive it. To the office manager: You must pay for my waiting time there ( more than 2 hours). You do not blame the hospital's mistakes. It is a lie. Had a procedure scheduled for over a month and a half, show up early, check in, pay my co-pay, give a urine sample, sit patiently and anxiously in the waiting area and get a call from someone on the other side of the wall (I could hear the echo and her talking) telling me there was an error in scheduling and the Dr isn't there for the procedure and the appointment will have to be rescheduled. I'm dumbfounded. I explain that I'm on the other side of the door and ask to speak face to face. I was told no, the phone was the easiest way to communicate. I explained how far in advance the appointment had been scheduled, how my spouse and I had both taken off work, how I had purchased and took the prescription I was told to take the day before the procedure and how I had gone round and round with their third party billing people who were clueless. I was simply told, sorry. I then asked for a refund of my co-pay and was told by the girl up front that all she could do was void the transaction. I asked for a copy of that voided transaction or even a screenshot and was told, IT would call me back and it would take 2 to 3 business days. I was livid. I asked to speak with the office manager who produced a screenshot of the voided transaction. I was never told why I needed the procedure in the first place. I just took Dr Sadler's word for it. If they would have canceled first thing that morning or the day before, that would have been one thing but to cancel 10 minutes before the procedure and to not even do it to my face, unacceptable! I had my last child in December of 2018 and ended having to move to Texas with my family in January of 2019. So obviously I was due for a post op appt. I obviously was no longer working so of course because my new insurance hadn't kicked in, I was cash pay. I get it OB is a specialty, but man the cash pay was nearly $300. Back home cash pay was never more that $180. I did research on Dr Chan before deciding to go to this office, but I think bc I wasn't a pre existing patient, they put me to see a NP. I honestly don't remember her name, she was very nice but she was kinda just lost for words for what was going on. She basically recommended an NSAID and had me on my way, for almost $300 I feel I should have been there for a bit longer. So then I felt like it was a waste and maybe I was just imagining it. (back track; after my birth I was told not to life my 14 month toddler for like 4-6weeks, but it was just me at home and I had to do mom things and lift her from time to time, well in doing that I felt and heard a pop! And had been having intermittent pain under my sternum and had gotten worried) So a few more months went by and the pain hadn't gone away like the NP told me it would so I called back to set up another appointment with Dr Chan, who I wanted to see initially. They again told me I couldn't see her until like October (I called in June), but I could see a NP. Began telling her what had happened prior, so then she put me on a hold and then of course she said I can get you in with Dr Chan like next week. I appreciate them doing that, because if they hadn't I would've went elsewhere. So by now my insurance kicked in and I was suppose not pay $300. Well the day of my visit I was charged $120 and was confused but thought I'll deal with insurance later. Finally saw Dr Chan. She was very nice, bed side manner was good, listened, and she referred me to another doctor whom she thought could help. Turns out had a floating rib issue...... so I'm glad she helped me find this other doctor to help. Dr Chan was great. Just went for a yearly check up and again they said over $100 was due, called my insurance company, turns out whoever did the claim didn't do the right one on my last visit and I had a credit and yes I was not suppose to pay. I feel like the doctors here are attentive and caring. I have never had a problem. I haven't had to wait long for my appointments and when I meet with one of the doctors I feel that they really listen to me. I'm as comfortable here as a person can be at the gynecologist! read more

I have delivered two babies with Dr. Luciani, one natural and one schedule C-section with a breach delivery, and am expecting once again. I would do anything to make sure he is my doctor. He really takes the extra time to make you feel like his only patient and is incredibly smart and up front about what to expect, which I appreciate. Today I had an appointment scheduled at 9:30, I arrived early and my insurance company hadn't approved my procedure for today yet. I ended up waiting a while for it all to clear but the staff was very nice. Front End receptionists were very nice and helpful, Todd the Manager was very nice and helpful, and even going back for the actual doctors appt , Mercedes was really sweet and very profesional. Thank you all for being friendly and kind, actions like this make a big difference for peoples mood, I didn't mind the hour wait mostly because of how nice and thoughtful everyone was. Having female related issues and DR said let's fix you up, let's set up two more appts. 1st appt set up 4 WEEKS AFTER INITIAL appt. 2nd appt set up 6 WEEKS AFTER INITIAL appt. Today I got a call from the DR office 5 days before the 1st appt that they are now having to reschedule for ANOTHER 8 DAYS!!!! Although they are really nice at this office it is a pain (literally) to have to wait so long to actually get help that is needed. This office can do so much better. read more

I would not recommend this place. It's now October of 2021 and I started going early 2020, so I really have given this place a long time to earn my trust and relationship. I've been disappointed by two doctors and the icing on the cake for me after many visits is being promised I'd hear back with my results since visiting last Thursday next day and latest Monday. Well, Monday I didn't receive a call (and having to wait over the weekend is a bummer by the way), Tuesday afternoon I finally called and no call back. Today, Wednesday, I called and spoke to someone and the NP's assistant told me she didn't have time to get to it. This business is on the third office manager since I've been going there. The doctors I saw lacked sensitivity and I felt unbelieved also. I just am confident things aren't going to improve there and it's time to move on, and I hope others won't waste their time like I did. I am revising my original review from one star to five stars. My first visit to Comprehensive OB/GYN was not positive. That being said, their Patient Advocate, Hillary, followed up with me and convinced me to give this clinic another try. I did, and I am glad I gave them the chance. Hillary and the entire clinic team did everything to right the original wrong, and make me feel like my health is their first priority. Dr. Reyes was stellar, he listened to my health concerns and came up with a plan for me. A special shout-out to Hillary for going above and beyond to follow up with me, and make me feel welcomed and cared about. I just can't say enough about how pleased I am with my second visit, and I look forward to continuing my health care with their clinic. Every clinic, hospital, health care provider needs a Patient Advocate like Hilary who cares for patients as she does. I think we would all have better experiences across the board with all providers with someone like her looking out for us. read more

I just experienced some serious feminine health issues. I had scheduled an appointment for a service this office performs. I was offered a prescription. Band-aid medicine with no follow-up suggested. When I called two weeks later to state my condition had worsened, the scheduler would not make me an appointment. I left two messages before the nurse returned my call and she was rude, condescending & ignorant to my condition. I'll be reporting this to the medical board. read more

I was new to the area and unsure where to go. I was referred to Comprehensive by my primary care doctor. They are very professional and friendly. I never waited more than a couple minutes to be seen. My gynecologist, Dr Ramirez, was friendly, knowledgeable and has an excellent bedside manner. I would highly recommend her and the practice. read more

Terrible traumatic experience. Do not come here if you have a high risk pregnancy. My doctor was doctor Luciani, but doc Chan did my delivery. I found out after delivery that I had all the qualifications to have a delayed interval delivery that would have saved one of my twins lives but this was never mentioned to me. One of my babies died and may not have had to if this had been tried. I was also not given magnesium all night like I should have been. These doctors are negligent and I do not reccomend these doctors. It may cost your babies their life. read more

Do not go here. My daughter has had several bad experiences here. They have too many patients for the amount of staff they have. She has been an established patient for 4 years. She could not get her lab results in a timely manner. These were needed because we didn't know what was going on with her body and they wouldn't get her in and check her out. (symptoms of possible miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy) -* it has been 6 days since labs and still no results... Very dismissive and uncaring. When you call or reach out via patient portal message, you are treated as if you and/or your issue is unimportant. They're are so many OBGYN's to choose from in the Metroplex. Don't settle for this office. Your experience should be comforting and comfortable. You should be treated with care and respect. Not put by the wayside and made to feel like a bother and unimportant!! I'm so angry at this place for the way they treated my daughter, more than once. No more chances!! Never again!! read more

I have been going here since I moved to Texas, 9 year ago. Dr. Luciani and staff are the best! I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My daughters first visit for contraceptives did not go as well as she wanted it to go. First off I could not be with her due to her already being 18 years old, when I spoke to the front desk clerk she set up the appointment and took my insurance so references to co pays or consultation fees, my daughter arrived feeling nervous of course as it was her first time to the ob. She stated Dr. Sadler walked was friendly the consultation only took about 10 minutes but the doctor did not review anything about options, safe sex, side effects and family history. She just handed her a pamphlet and told her to set up the appointment for the procedure. She paid 200$ for that type of consultation and coming out of there not knowing anything, what was the point of the consultation, I read the reviews this company is only wanting your money for not doing anything!!! We will be looking for another OB!!! read more

I found out about two weeks ago that I was pregnant. I took two at home pregnancy test and both ruled that I was pregnant. At about 6 weeks pregnant I began having some heavy bleeding. With my concern I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Ramirez to make sure that there wasn't anything wrong with me or the pregnancy that was forming. I will say that they got me in that morning (5/11/2020). When I made the appointment I was told that I had to pay a remaining balance from a previous appointment (which was an appointment to remove my IUD BACK in December) another experience I need to review as well.. but I probably won't. Anyways I was told that balance needed to be paid upon arrival ($330) and then that if Dr Ramirez had to do a sonogram it would be an Additional $75. Again, if she HAD to do a sonogram.. not that she would be doing one. When I arrived I was given pregnancy test, that I'm sure was to confirm my pregnancy actually existed. However, I was never given the results of that test (pee test). When the doctor came in SHE did indeed decide to do a sonogram. And after the sonogram was done she said it's "PROBABLY LIKELY THAT ITS A MISCARRIAGE" but she would like to do blood work to ensure that my pregnancy hormone levels were not increasing. I'm assuming in case it was probably likely that it isn't a miscarriage? Well of course I got the bloodwork done. I was asked to return Wednesday to do another blood test. This was to monitor the pregnancy hormone and see if it increased over the days. At this visit Dr. Ramirez did not inform me of the possibilities of it not being a miscarriage and how she would like me to go about my day to day activities. As some may know ... many women actually do bleed during pregnancy and throughout their entire pregnancies. So I was very taken aback that she 1) did not give me an affirmative answer ruling the condition of my pregnancy and 2) she did not advise me on any type of restrictions or activities she would recommend JUST in case it was probably likely not a miscarriage.
