I had to wait a couple of weeks to get my first appointment with her, which was well worth it and I'm glad I did. All and all, I had a great experience. I was seen on time. She also practices out of Prosper so it makes it convenient for others for those living closer to that area. Blessed to have found her.

I was my own advocate telling her and her office that I was extremely anemic, as well as had a polyp in my uterus that needed to be removed. This I had discovered by seeing another physician whom I was considering to have the fibroids removed laparoscopically. I decided to stick with Dr Halderman, because she could perform the surgery before my insurance lapsed. After my surgery I asked the Dr if the polyp was removed, because I didn't see it on the pathology report. She said that there wasn't anything there! After going in for my post op follow up, they discovered they the polyp was in fact there. What kind of place is this? How can they perform any type of procedure without seeing the state of things prior to surgery. They never documented it. They also denied that I ever conveyed this to them and went ahead with my surgery. Fibroids that were there were removed, but not the polyp. Now they want to perform another procedure to remove it. The costs involved now falls on my shoulders! I should have known better when they called me the day before my surgery to go in for a blood transfusion for my anemia. Again, something I did convey to them earlier!!! This review has been posted under my husband's account!

My miscarriage story with Dr. Jones:…read more Early January (I miscarried in November and HCG hadn't dropped fully so I headed to Dr. Jones for a second opinion, to be extra safe, on what to do after being told it looked like my body was doing what it needed, just slowly) - Dr. Jones' nurse or tech (not sure of her title) did my scan, and said it looked like the gestational sac was still there but moving towards my cervix which was a great sign. She had Dr. Jones come in to check the scan. He DIDN'T introduce himself to me, sat down, took literally two seconds to look at the image, looks at me and says "I think you'll need a D&C. The sac may stay attached if not." I said absolutely not. I don't have insurance and I know there's another option to try first. He said, "Oh well, yeah, ok we could try the pill first but with how long this is taking my concern is the sac is attached to your uterus and won't come out." I told him, "Ok, that's fine but let's try this other thing first...I don't have insurance." I asked him if there was any harm to trying the pill first...and he said no. So I told him again, absolutely...pill first. He then must have completely forgotten the TWO times I told him I don't have insurance and continues to say, "Well you can try to negotiate the price with the hospital..." and he starts explaining the procedure to me and I told him again...no...I don't have insurance. He didn't address anything else with me, not even my thyroid. He only told me how to take the pills. To add another annoyance, I ended up paying $187 (no insurance) to have a TECH do my scan, talk with the doctor for a literal 1 minute, and basically be ignored and given terrible medical advice. (The desk ran my card for $150, then says OOPS, cancel...$115...then OOPS...$187, this is 2 different codes. ) Yes, the D&C would have worked. But it is expensive and more invasive. It comes with its own risks. So why did this doctor immediately resort to a D&C when I clearly stated it was not an option for me?! The pill cost me $10 and he admitted it was not harmful to try first. I'm absolutely missing his reasoning here. **update after the office visit** He ended up Rx me Misoprostol. I felt something was off when I researched several forums and ladies had shared their doctors advised them to take it much differently than this man did. He had me take 2 tabs every 4 hours, 4 times. Most others, I had read they were advised to take 4 tabs at once, then follow up with others hours after etc. I just felt right away I was set to fail with this method. And I did. I took it as instructed and nothing happened. It should work within a few hours. I finally started bleeding 2 days later but nothing like I was told I would. I was worried I didn't pass what he so confidently told me was implanted in my uterus so I called around for quotes for a D&C to try to find a more affordable option begrudgingly accepting it as my fate. He quoted me $750 for himself, the medical facility quoted me an additional $2950-$5170 depending on how long I needed care, each day an extra $1000. These costs did NOT include the costs for anesthesia. I was told I would not be able to get a quote for that. So when all was said and done, I was looking at anywhere from $4-7k dollars for this "simple" and "needed" procedure. I updated Dr. Jones' office and the nurse said, yes, you'll need the D&C. Well I got another opinion 2 weeks later. This doctor assured me and laughed when doing my scan, "You absolutely do NOT need a D&C. Who told you that?" She was surprised and said my body was doing exactly what it needed to do, just slowly. She even cared enough to educate me on several other things I had asked about as well as going over my bloodwork WITH ME. She asked how Dr. Jones prescribed the Misoprostol. I told her and she then said, "Let me guess, he's an older man." YES. He is. She said his methods were out dated and explained a lot in why he said I must have the D&C. He was basically choosing the doctor-first route, not patient-first. Which was my guess. She sent me home and 2 weeks later I got my cycle, re-checked...ALL is well. Bloodwork, scans, everything. NO D&C NEEDED. I know D&C's are many times medically necessary. But I've had 2 situations now where the doctor basically forced it on me, when my body did NOT need it and only because I refused, did I save myself THOUSANDS of dollars and allow my body to work as it naturally needed to. And in case you do not know, a D&C comes with its own risks, it can build up scar tissue which can affect future pregnancies. Both doctors, DR. JONES included...DID NOT tell me this. Thank you, Google and the hundreds of forums I read of others sharing their experiences. Save yourself the headache/heartache and find another doctor who is responsible and puts the PATIENT first. Not himself. And one who is up to date with current medical practices. ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF!

The only reason why I give this a 4, is because Norma de (nurse) is so rude…read more Dr. Jones is a great Doctor, very personable and caring, he actually cares for you as a person. Norma on the other hand, she acts annoyed every-time you call with a question and she doesn't have a sense of urgency in helping you, and does not seem to care. She could use some customer service skills, and she could try and be a little more compassionate to others.

Dr. Lori Halderman is amazing--she delivered my sweet baby boy, who is now 3, and made that entire experience feel so safe, special, and supported. From appointments to phone calls and everything in between, this office consistently goes above and beyond. You are never treated like just another patient--they truly care. I especially want to take a moment to recognize their triage nurse, Cheresse. Over the past year, I experienced three heartbreaking losses, and I can honestly say I would not have made it through the hardest time in my life without her. Her compassion, patience, and knowledge carried me through moments of fear, grief, and uncertainty. She always took the time to listen, to reassure me, and to walk alongside me every step of the way. She has been more than just a nurse she has been a steady source of comfort, strength, and support when I needed it most. I always knew I could lean on her with any question or concern, no matter how big or small. Now, as I'm pregnant with my rainbow baby, she continues to be such a meaningful part of my journey encouraging me, supporting me, and celebrating alongside me. Adriatica is incredibly lucky to have someone as special as her on their team. If you're looking for a women's health office that truly cares on a deep, personal level, this is it.

WORST experience ever with any doctor's office and my first ever review. During my first…read moreappointment with Dr. Luciani, he talked the whole time to the point where I forgot most of my questions, he literally answered a legitimate medical question with "because you're crazy", he commented on a laboring mom in his care who had refused Pitocin and a c-section after a long and painful over 20-hour labor saying "but of course my patients know better than that," and I had no time to ask about a medication that he prescribed me at the tail-end 2 minutes of the appointment. Nevertheless, I tried to dismiss his jokes and comments as humor, and I later asked the receptionists if it would be possible to come back for a further and more in-depth appointment with Dr. Luciani, as I had only spent maybe 15 minutes with him, if that. Obviously, I still had various questions about his philosophies, statistics, and standard of care. I'm supposed to decide after 10-15 minutes who is bringing my first baby into the world? They acted again, as they did in all except one of my experiences with their receptionists, beyond rude, treating me as if my request was completely unreasonable. They directed me to his bio page on their website, which I informed them I had obviously already read in detail. They eventually told me "We don't do that", regarding my request for an extended appointment, to which I asked the same question I've proposed in this review, "So you're telling me I'm supposed to commit to this doctor bringing my child into the world when I've spent maybe 10-15 minutes with him? I have no idea how he feels about c-sections, induction, or whether he requires moms to birth on their backs. I know literally nothing about this doctor outside of his view on vaccines." They told me that they would have an office manager call me back. Surprise, surprise. They never did. Nevertheless, even after all of this, I went back for several more appointments. I really appreciated his stance on vaccines and thought that it would be difficult to find another OBGYN who wouldn't push my boundaries on vaccination, and I just really hoped that things would get better here. They did not. During my second sonogram appointment that was scheduled with Dr. Luciani, I was informed when I arrived that I would not be seeing the doctor anymore and would be seeing a sonographer instead. They also changed the timing of this appointment on the day of and only notified me of this change by email. During my appointment with the sonographer, who was genuinely so sweet and so kind, I asked if I could FaceTime my husband, who was unable to make this particular appointment. As it was my second sonogram, and the first one where the baby looks more like a baby and less like an alien, we were both really excited about it. The sonographer kindly informed me of a facility policy where patients are unable to record or photograph any sonograms unless the doctor is present. Therefore, because my doctor missed my appointment for some unknown reason, my husband didn't get to see the first sonogram where our baby was actually actively moving. As if this wasn't enough, the nurse practitioner that I frequently saw was exceedingly rude, and never told me that the genetic testing I was having done would contain my baby's gender. Therefore, I opened my patient portal results one morning to find out that surprise! Baby is a boy! Which completely ruined the gender reveal dinner that my husband and I had planned for the two of us. I could go on and on! They had TWO people call me once after doing my bloodwork and said that it was "urgent" that I call them back. Obviously, I'm freaking out when I get their voicemails, thinking they've discovered my baby had Down syndrome or another genetic abnormality. I spent 45 minutes trying to get ahold of them, only to finally be told that my results were normal! Are you kidding me? Another separate time, they called and left me a voicemail after hours on a Friday to speak to me about my lab results. Obviously, if you're calling me an hour after closing on a Friday, I'm going to be concerned that something is terribly wrong. I called back, couldn't get through to anyone, so I selected the option for the on-call midwife. After 20 minutes, I'm finally able to get in touch with her, and she lets me know that she doesn't have access to my records and that I'll have to check Monday, but that it's probably nothing and that sometimes people work late to finish updating patients on lab results. While I appreciated her reassurance, it really didn't do much for me, because, again, I'm still going to have to wait until Monday to hear about these results. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! Go see Dallas Women's Wellness, they're AMAZING. They take an hour in the first appointment to answer all your questions. They're so kind, they're a midwifery within a hospital if you want the best of both worlds, and they offer water birth! Best experience there so far.
