I'm really not one to leave reviews, but I feel very strongly that women deserve to know what kind of care to expect if they were to choose this practice, and it's not good. They only have one gynecologist there, all the nurse practitioners are great but if you were to need any kind of procedure or care relating to a procedure you would have to see Dr. T. I won't speak to his competence in actually preforming procedures, but his patient care is what I have an issue with. My first appointment with him was an emergency IUD removal, afterwards, I had a two week follow up appointment where they also told me I needed to have an exam and a Pap smear. I didn't know this at the time but it's not common practice to give Pap smears to people under 21, I'm 18 so I'm still confused as to why they told me I needed to have that, but either way, the way that they went about the procedure was extremely violating and upsetting. Obviously, that was my first time having that done, and they didn't explain anything that they were doing before or during the exam. I was very anxious, but they continued anyways, not answering any of my questions. I decided to get the Nexplanon arm implant. I vaguely knew about what the procedure was like, but I still feel that they should have explained the steps to me. He barely answered my questions, in fact after they numbed me, I wasn't looking and said that I didn't know if I was all the way numbed and then when I looked down, he already had the needle to insert the explanation there and went forward with it and just told me not to look without checking if I was numbed and without telling me that they were already going to do it. I started having migraines during the two weeks between the procedure and my follow up, which I was concerned about because I've never had a history of migraines. During my two week follow up, I asked him about it and he interrupted me to tell me that it couldn't possibly be because of the Nexplanon. He would not listen to my concerns. He only shut me down and told me that if I wanted to take it out, I could. When I left, I did further research and saw that headaches were in fact a known symptom of Nexplanon. I can't imagine why he wouldn't acknowledge that or validate that, but all I can say is I'm extremely disappointed in the patient care that he gives and I think that it's irresponsible to practice that way when dealing with things so sensitive as you do as a gynecologist. Like I said, the nurse practitioners there are awesome, but he is the only option if you need any procedures or anything relating to that so I would not recommend going here. read more
