I was very impressed! I went in the office very nervous and pretty skeptical because of the reviews I read. Yes, the wait was longer than I would of liked but I honestly didn't mind it after speaking with the nurse (i believe her name was Donna, she had long dark hair and a Michigan mask). She was SO friendly and welcoming. She made me feel comfortable even though I was extremely nervous. 10/10 NP Dutra was also very friendly and thorough. She took her time and explained everything to me. This must be why there is a longer wait time in the lobby because she takes her time with patients. I'll wait an extra 15 minutes for that!! I scheduled my next appointment in 6 months and I will meet with Dr. Ridge this time. I will go in with less nerves and a fully charged phone for the waiting room. :) read more

Be careful letting them take photos of you for your file. They wanted to "check a spot they removed" at one of my appointments... the problem is, I didn't have anything removed there. They showed me a picture and I told them that clearly isn't me. They had a picture of someone else's body part in my file and showed it to me. Mistakes happen, so I didn't think anything of it or make a big deal. UNTIL... I messed up my appt time at another appt. I thought it was 2:30 but it was 12:30, so totally my fault but just a mistake that I came late. The office people there are so snotty and rude. Refused to not charge me a fee because I had canceled a previous appt because I was sick. So... the point of this is to let you know to go ahead and show up sick, don't mess up and make a mistake because they punish you even though they can make a (very inappropriate) mistake themselves. All you need to do is read their responses to their other terrible reviews to see they are a very unprofessional office. The attitudes are gross and uncalled for. Their immature and defensive responses say it all. Switching doctors for sure. I should have read the rest of the reviews before going here. I told the girl I talked to, to have the billing manager call me and she said OK (with an attitude of course). Still no call days later. Not surprised. read more

Please make sure that the front desk receptionists double-check the date they're scheduling your appointment for. The first time I came here, the receptionist loudly announced that I had come in two months early for an appointment. Come to find out, the receptionist who scheduled my appointment had told me (multiple times) that my appointment was in December when she had actually meant to say February! They couldn't (or at least refused to) squeeze me in, and I had to wait two more months to be seen. Extremely embarrassing and wasteful of everyone's time. That should have been my sign to cancel and be seen elsewhere. My real appointment finally arrived, and I came in to have a few painful moles checked out and removed, only to be told that my insurance would not cover the removal regardless of pain. This is odd because they accepted the same insurance when my mother visited the week prior for the same thing, and insurance covered her removal without a fuss! The doctor hardly even glanced at the areas I complained about, ignored several of my questions, and seemed irritated when I still requested to have them removed. Heads up, they only remove THREE moles at once, all for the low price of nearly $500. Good luck if you have more than three that are hurting you, you're doomed to come back and perform this shameful, expensive rat race with them again. The nurse poorly bandaged the removal spots and even put the sticky part of the bandaid on one of the open wounds. Within 30 minutes of leaving, one of the removals on my chest had bled through both the bandage and my shirt, and my entire torso was absolutely covered in blood! For as much as they charge, you would think you'd be at least guaranteed not to go home looking like you've just fled a crime scene. Heed the warnings! Coming here means you might be publicly embarrassed, have your time wasted, and pay good money for lousy service. Exhaust all other options before coming here! read more

Unprofessional receptionist! I called to make an appointment for my daughter. The receptionist was not professional at all. Extremely rude with every question she had to ask me. I apologized to her that I should have had my insurance card on hand before I called but her getting rude and upset was not necessary. Then she found out we are new patients and said " well We can't even get you in until February anyway" Terrible experience and we will never attempt this office again! read more

Dr Jennifer Ridge, dermatologist, gave me a fill body scan in December because IS had skin cancers before and my dermatologist moved. I waited over an hour. People were crowded in..standing room only for some.She gave me a VERY brief and cursory exam, not even looking under my long hair or pushing my hair away from my face. I saw another dermatologist last month who did biopsies and I HAVE SKIN CANCER! I AM SEEING A SURGEON TO TRY TO REMEDIATE HER CARELESSNESS! She clearly values money over good Healthcare. read more

Went with my father to have skin cancer removed. The facility is calming, sedate. Walked inside, great atmosphere; subdued lighting, soft easy music, efficient and friendly check-in personal, comfortable classy seating-then I sit down and see fox noise channel on the tv. I asked it could be changed to something non controversial and was told, "no, the tv is set where is has to be." Really? The whole relaxing nature of the facility is ruined by being force fed Rupert Murdock's political agenda? The only positive is the tv set is small and sound is off. But the surgery waiting-room was even worse, a 60" or so tv in a small room with an outsized fox noise talking head is there. I wouldn't stay there. I told the nurse I would wait in front room where I could ignore tv. Second employee changed channel to something else. Thank you Sister. I moved to Ohio from another state. Went to this office because they were the only ones that could squeeze me in. Having a history with Melanoma and finding a new growth that was spreading quickly is alarming and stressful. Other places were making me wait 2 months. I took what I could get and was very satisfied. The staff is friendly Dr Ridge and Leslie were amazing and made me feel very comfortable. I'm greatful they made me a priority. read more

I waited an hour and a half for my appointment (showed up early but still waited over an hour. Doctor came in and left in less than a minute answered my first question and ran out before I could ask for more. Got a bill for 480 dollars. They said I was a new patient even though I had been there before be because it had been several years from my last visit. Never going back do not recommend. read more

Front desk receptionists could use a little help with manners, like please and thanks, but this entire office has a attitude that your time is worthless and they will get to you when they are good and ready. Prepare to wait to be seen for a least an hour after your appointment time, but they will charge you $35 if you can't make an appointment. It's worth driving to Dayton or Cincinnati to find an office that isn't completely unconcerned with your schedule. read more

No complaints. The receptionist was kind and pleasant. I was taken back to the exam room 5 minutes before my actual appointment time. The nurse that took me back also was kind and pleasant. Immediately after the nurse finished, Dr. Ridge came in and was very professional and took the time to not only give me a thorough exam but also took care of both issues I was there for. No stars! I went here in 2012 for sclerotherapy. This is a procedure to "clean out" varicose veins. I called my insurance company that I had at the time and they told me that it was covered under my plan. I also found out that I had superficial phlebitis, which is a blood clot in the smaller outer veins. "Dr." Ridge did explain to me how to fix that at home and it worked. However, she called me herself one day, before we started the sclerotherapy treatments to "inform" me that my insurance company was denying coverage. I told her that I called them and they said they covered it. She was like "um well they're telling me they don't So we're not going to be able to go through with the procedures. Sorry" I later called the insurance company and, after a few minutes of typing, the lady I spoke with said "Dr." Ridge was trying to get my spider veins covered. I told her I wasn't there to get my spider veins done. No insurance company covers that. I waited years to find a doctor in Middletown who does sclerotherapy because they're all in Dayton and Cincinnati. Needless to say I'm in extreme pain today and every day! read more

No stars for the nurse Nancy. I went in for a full body screen. She had terrible bedside manner and she did not listen to me. She kept cutting me off when I tried to explain my symptoms and concerns. Every time I tried to explain what was going on, she said it was "normal" and threw some pamphlets on the examination table. I felt extremely rushed as though me being there was an inconvenience to her. The body check took less than 2 minutes. Thankfully, I read the reviews on here before I went in and decided to bring in my sister, who happens to be a social worker in the health field, in case I fell victim to the rumor of this nurses poor practices. My sister watched the whole scene unfold. I was about to get dressed to leave when my sister, also appalled at this nurses bedside manner, intervened and questioned the nurses idea of "normal".... "How do multiple moles appearing in only a matter of three weeks time, which are asymmetric, evolving, and changing in color considered "normal"? The nurses attitude finally changed when she couldn't provide an answer and was caught contradicting her own explanations. The nurse then examined (not glanced) at ONE of the moles I was most concerned about and listened to why I was so concerned about it. She then decided to do a shave biopsy. (Which she still tossed on the the counter in a reserved frustration) By the way, I DID read the pamphlets I was given by the nurse when I got home. According to the pamphlets, she so hastily gave me, all the information she fed to me as an excuse to get me out of the office, was contradictory to the pamphlets information. I only gave 2 stars because I have not experienced services from the actual dermatologist whom I have only seen good reviews about on other sites. I will go back to give the actual doctor a try, but I will NOT be seeing the Nurse Practitioner Nancy. read more

My first new patient appointment, I saw the nurse practitioner Nancy. She was in the room less than 5 minutes, didn't even introduce herself or ask me my name. She also confused my information with another patients treatment history and prescribed me something my insurance doesn't even cover when she knew their was an age cutoff for that medication.
