He arrived for his appointment, went up to the front desk and the women at the front desk just stared at him. There was no "hello, how are you", or "how can I help you." He finally said I have an appointment. She coldly asked for his name and then told him he's not on the schedule. Told him she could get him in 1 month later. There was no "I'm sorry" or anything even remoting kind. When I called to inquire about what happened to his appointment, the same girl answered the phone and was just as cold and rude. It is very obvious she does not like her job, does not give a shit about the patients and has terrible customer service skills. I work at a front desk in healthcare and know that it is not that hard to smile at someone, be friendly and at least fake a good attitude. She should not be working in healthcare and just lost my son as a patient. Do better!!!

Absolutely awful experience…read more I was referred to this office from my PCP, and I am regretting ever considering going to a dermatologist at all after that experience. Firstly, the office is tiny, old, and poorly lit. A very dark and unwelcoming atmosphere. I had to wait for 45 minutes before being seen. The front desk attendant was inconsiderate, unprofessional, and not interested at all in serving customers. The nurse practitioner I spoke with was not thorough. As soon as I began describing my symptoms, they immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was caused by allergies and that I must have thyroid issues. That was the entire conversation. It lasted maybe 5 minutes, and surprise, surprise, this nurse practitioner was way off the mark on any of my skin symptoms being caused by allergies. The next month I receive a bill for hundreds. Luckily, my insurance was able to negotiate off about half of it, but I had to pay the rest out of pocket. I expected a bill, but not for this high of an amount for the poor quality & tiny amount of time spent speaking with a professional. I called to speak with the office manager, Angie Gleeson, to share feedback about my experience and explore options to negotiate a lower, more acceptable charge for the poor experience I had. Angie was not concerned whatsoever with my experience, didn't mention a single time any sort of empathy or understanding, and insisted that the charges are correct and refused to offer any sort of assistance whatsoever. Overall, probably the worst experience visiting a doctor's office I've ever had. Definitely do not recommend this place when I'm sure there are many other places with higher levels service for similar if not lesser prices.

He has a family history of skin cancer so it was important that he have it checked out. After telling the doctor his concerns, my husband was treated to the most blase attitude I have ever heard a doctor use. The doctor made my husband feel like an absolute idiot for worrying about his skin (as if it were about vanity), and short of eye rolling, could not have made his feelings more clear to my poor half naked husband. I was incensed, you will realize this more fully when I tell you that this all happened exactly a year ago and after discovering Yelp still felt the need to write a review. Fast forward to a month ago when I find some new and troubling moles on my husband's back, do you have any idea how hard it was to talk him into seeing a [new] dermatologist?? Thank goodness he finally decided to go because the new dermatologist was concerned about said moles and removed them for cancer testing, we just found out today that they are NOT cancer... BIG sigh of relief.

I went to Wright State Dermatology in June 2012 about some skin tags and a condition on my hand…read more The doctor tried to freeze the tags which did nothing at all. The condition on my hand had a prescription forClobetasol to be called into my pharmacy. It took me a week and 3 phone calls to the office to get the prescription to the pharmacy. Now 5 months later we take step daughter to see Dr Palmer about a infection on her skin. Her gives a prescription for a creme and antibiotic. My pharmacy did not receive the I called the office back. They tried to tell me that it is CVS and not them. I have used CVS for years and Wright State is the only doctors that seem to have a problem.
