I came here for the first time in Jan 2025…read more I scored a free trial class. I have certainly heard of the franchise before, but didn't know much about it. First timers are requested to come 30 minutes beforehand. To me that's a bit extreme/unnecessary. They should say 15min. I understand a mini orientation, but that amount of time is crazy, and a waste of time. I arrived as requested. And at first they were trying to sell me on all the benefits of joining for membership, which is understandable. They gave me a tour. They offered a locker for my things. Then they put the body monitor on me that tracks calories/Heart rate, and some other info. It's HIIT. For this class we alternated between row machine, weights, treadmill in a fast pace circuit class, with hype music. There were some obvious regulars that knew exactly what they were doing. The class wasn't too packed. I liked that the space was large Class- My teacher/coach Ciandra, checked on me during class a few times. And I tried my best, but it was tough!! The cutesy thing she did was give me a shout-out at the end of the class, and the class gave me a round of applause for completing my first one, which is nice and fosters comradery considering its a group class. After the class they tryed to sell there membership again, but I declined, since I use ClassPass. I was major sore for days after. The pro's: - the breakdown of your stats from the coach after the class from your body monitor, is helpful and interesting -large calorie burn -the circuits keep you busy, and prevent boredom The cons: -the overly frequent calls before and after your first trial class. It's too much. I saw the previous reviewer that said they got sick and tired of the harassment of calls and tried to block them but they kept calling. I understand her frustration. If they get added to classpass, I would consider returning. This location is convenient for me.

CrossFit Rectify is gym headed by Dr. Anthony Cheung who is extremely knowledgable, professional…read moreand passionate about exercise fitness. Rectify gives you all you need for a great crossfit experience. At the front area, you'll see an area for free weights, medicine balls, power bands and other equipment along the wall. Towards the back, you'll have a warehouse that have your common crossfit equipment like workout tires, sledge hammers pull up stations, jump boxes and much more. Rectify is not like your other grungy workout gyms, but shares with you a quality facility. The true gem about this place is Dr. Anthony himself. His philosophy is a simple one. As a Physical Therapist/Personal Trainer, he is passionate about correct technique and overall condition of his patients/clients. Dr. Anthony wants to incorporate correct technique, high intensity exercises and qualitative workouts for each individual client. Makes total sense. Where else would you get that? Because of the crossfit boom over the past 10 years, many people are not qualified to train clients and people who jump right in would probably get hurt. I'm sure you either have had an injury, or know someone who has been injured doing crossfit activities. Dr. Anthony put me through a quick 30 minute workout that had me gasping for air. He pushes you to maximize every targeted muscle. I was highly impressed of how efficient the workout was compared to my normal ones. If you want to get your ass kicked from a fanastic crossfit workout, this is the place for you. No cry babies. Give Dr Anthony a try, theres a lot more to crossfit than just doing your stereotypical crossfit workouts. In the meantime, I'm going to rest/stretch my sore muscles.

I liked the idea of having a community atmosphere but was worried about whether that community would be supportive or cult like lol. I am proud to say I go to CrossFit weekly now and I love it! Everyone here is so down to earth and supportive. I'm definitely not on the same level as other members but not once was I made to feel inadequate or a nuisance for needing modifications. I'd highly recommend you at least try it out. Being in a group setting with a common goal definitely motivates you! I can be the biggest so if I can do it, anyone can.
