They have great trainers who are focused on truly helping you with professionalism and experience, not like at the big box gyms. Ask for Will -- we've really enjoyed our new lifestyle with his coaching. We're both more toned, have more energy, and the clothes are fitting nicely. Ha! Easy drive from downtown, West U, Montrose, even the Heights. Some of the people who train here drive in from Spring and Sugarland. Great place to focus on bettering yourself without all the distractions. So glad we found this place!

I also did drop in many Crossfit members in cities where I've been for work or vacation. I just started going to CrossFit Central Houston but I can already say this is in my top 3 for sure! Coaches Grace, Emily and Matt are great, you can tell they follow a consistent and similar style which tells a lot about the quality of the box. They will fix your posture and your movements like a good coach should. The gym itself is super large, there is plenty of space for everyone, even when the class is full. The showers are the best gym showers I've ever used, with clean towels everyday, its great to workout in the morning and go straight to work. The schedule is also great, with plenty of opportunities to fit your schedule. All members are super nice and kind. I would give more stars if I could.

Best gym on the East Side!!…read more I started coming to Facet Seven Eado to get in the best Bride-To-Be/ Wedding shape I could, and it happened thanks to Mikel!! I highly recommend booking with him if you're in the market for a personal trainer! Not only will he help you reach your goals, but he's also very informative with why you're doing certain exercises (which is very helpful as someone who has no clue!) I do have to say, having a personal trainer really made my experience at Facet Seven Eado! I love that you can view all the trainer profiles online and book with them, making the whole process more approachable. The gym itself seems to have everything you would need - from machines to free weights to classes. Parking: They have some handicap parking and a few open spaces in front of the gym. That being said, I almost always had to park on the side street. Accessibility: In addition to the handicap parking - They do have a ramp for accessibility to the entrance as well, but otherwise get ready for a pre-workout warm up hiking up the stairs to the front entrance! They also have a large shower stall (at least in the women's locker room) for accessibility needs. Staff: The staff (especially the trainers) are beyond welcoming. For some reason the people at the front desk aren't so much. During my time here, I rarely got welcomed which does make it a bit awkward if you're not so comfortable in the gym. Also, they have a scanner to checkin on your app but that worked less than 50% of the time for me, leading to more awkward moments with the front desk. Space: The space is very open, allowing for a lot of different areas. During my time here, they did move some of the weights around, which made for a bit of a choke point/crowded area for the weight machines near the rowers. Personally this was a turn-off for me. Also, being a warehouse, it gets warm. There is AC but during the summer months it doesn't cool too effectively - which I guess helps you sweat and maybe is a good thing (but for me wasn't the best). Overall, I'd definitely return here if I needed a PT to help reach another goal. I definitely recommend it if you're looking for a new gym in general !

The back has rowers, rings, bars, kettlebells, everything you could want to Crossfit -- all in an air-conditioned space. If that's not enough, the owner and manager are extremely cool about equipment requests - if you'd like to borrow some strong man stuff from the Crossfit Eado next door that's no problem. They were, additionally, nice enough to hang a heavy bag after I asked - which was no small thing for someone that had only been a member for a month. If you like to work out with others there is a decent crowd during peak hours that are some of the friendliest people in fitness. Additionally, there is Olympic coaching from an Olympic medalist during these hours. On the other hand, if you have weird work hours like I do you might have the place to yourself. A huge 20% discount is offered for veterans and first responders. I can't speak to Crossfit Eado next door, but I know that a dual membership is deeply discounted. They also have beer on tap :) If you're like me and want to do Crossfit or oly on your own hours, I don't think you can do any better in Houston for the equipment, open access, and the price.

The owner Shahin (also owner of Crossfit EADO and Yoga EADO) opened this place up as a haven for weightlifters. It provides 24 hour access through a keyfob system (very fancy), Eleiko equipment in one room, and an accessory room equipped with Get RXed equipment. They also have a shower built into their restroom (great for those early morning/late night workouts)!! Although there is top of the line equipment and an awesome shower, this place does a great job of keeping that grassroots Olympic lifting garage feel. The staff here are great and assist in any lifts that you'd like to target. But, if you're not looking for any help they are also respectful in providing critiques (post-workout, of course) to ensure everyone remains safe when they aren't around. Texas Strength does have programming you can follow, if you don't have outside programming. Also, I'd recommend this place for Powerlifters wanting to get in a quick session in a pinch or even their new home. I myself follow a PL/Oly programming and this place has everything I need. Texas Strength has a great future in helping build the weightlifting/powerlifting community in Houston.

They have some interesting machines that I haven't encountered before at large gyms. The Smith machine is part of a large contraption, and I don't really understand it. Some things they lack that I value in a gym are a hip thrust station/machine, assisted pull-up machine, and lat pulldown. I get the overall impression that it's a male-dominated gym. This gym has very nice amenities considering its small size. They have hand towels, bath towels, disinfecting wipes, good hand sanitizer, filtered water with cups, and a big locker room with showers and a really nice mirror area. Parking was a bit confusing at first as you navigate through a huge underground parking area, and the gym is located in a large office building with a food court. They validate parking at the front desk.

First, you have to get to the Greenway plaza parking garage and enter via the visitor parking entrance for 4-6 Greenway Plaza garage from the 59 feeder road. Once inside the garage, follow the signs for 5 Greenway plaza. It should be the blue colored parking area. There's a pretty big sign that says visitor parking. Then, look for the entrance that says 5 Greenway Plaza. Enter and pass the flower shop on the left, and Pulse fitness is right there. The front desk can validate your parking right away, which was awesome. The outside sitting area before entering this gym was so pretty and filled with bright natural light. If you go here earlier in the day, you can sit in this area and just relax. I heard some food vendors are also open earlier in the day. Inside, this gym was nice. Let me say this again, it's very nice. Like everything was new: their cardio equipment, weights, machines, kettlebells, stability balls, medicine balls, and probably all their other equipment. Their restrooms were clean, and even had a nice sitting area. They had lockers with 3 digit dial codes to secure your belongings. They have nice showers. They have clean towels on every cardio station and on more shelves. They have a filtered water station. I mean, what more could you want? I do have to mention that they don't have your typical weight machines. They have weights but with resistance cords to them. You can feel the weight both going away from and towards starting position. It just takes a bit of getting used to. Leaving the garage is simple. Follow the sign to exit for southwest freeway (Highway 59), and you're good to go. Next time, I will have to inquire about their HIIT classes. So, I will definitely be back.

Since I mapped it out beforehand, I knew where to park and how to get to the gym. This was a fairly large shopping area, but EQX was right there, and the desk is there in front once you enter. There was a really nice girl this day with long braids, and she directed me upstairs to the locker room and informed me that parking validation was not necessary at this time; the gate just went up as you pulled up to it. Perfect! After going upstairs, I did wander around and then a trainer directed me over to the locker room, which was spacious and very clean. The fitness floor is on the second, and as soon as I found the treadmills, I knew where I belonged. Light movement in the stretching area after, and then back to a shower with decent water pressure. What I was fascinated with was how friendly staff was. Trainers actually smiled and said goodbye which you won't normally see in California or New York. I certainly wasn't at home! Compared to other locations, this one was very low-key, although I admit I came during the afternoon where it was probably quieter. I had forgotten this is the location that I was in contact with back in 2020 when I had ordered some masks from their shop since they were actually open. I had such a good experience that the trip here to see them in person was worth it!
