Awesome gym. The trainers were very helpful knowledgeable and welcoming Lamar is awesome

I recently visited this gym and one thing that I adore about it apparent from it being Black, woman owners- is that is is boutique style. Small and initiate!!! Especially during times like these, I honestly would prefer to be alone on a Saturday afternoon to workout. I like that they support other businesses and have business cards laid out at the front desk and there is a barbershop there as well! They are open 24/7, clean equipment so you can zone out by yourself or with a few others whether it's 10am or 2am. That's what I love about it. You also get a key fob to access the gym 24/7 and they have music playing as well. They just ask you cut the lights off when you leave. They have TRX, free weights, cardio machines such as a treadmill and elliptical, weights, free weights and a stretching area! read more

I had the privilege to have Valencia as my personal trainer for 10 years, from 2009 to 2019. During my pregnancies, my post-pregnancies, and my cancer journey, I closely experienced Valencia's depth of knowledge in her field. As a bodybuilder and fitness trainer, Valencia knows how to SETS STRETCH GOALS for her clients and drives results consistently. She truly leads by example and knows how to AIM HIGH. Her move from San Jose, California to Houston, Texas was bittersweet for so many of her clients, including me. However, I feel happy to see how her brand, vFit, now continues evolving in her own gym in Houston. I will always remember her three fitness mottos: 1. Make it count. 2. Progress is progress. 3. Finish strong. read more

Valencia was my trainer for 2 years. She turned me from a skinny-fat person who was afraid of doing HIIT-style workouts (I would only do yoga/zumba and really didn't know what to do in a gym by myself) to somebody who enjoys working out regularly. Valencia does an awesome job varying the workouts every time so you never know what exactly to expect and don't get bored. She also spends time showing us how to do the exercise and is knowledgeable in where you should be feeling it, what to do to avoid injury, and would answer all the questions we had. I really appreciated the knowledge she had regarding how your muscles work. She taught us a bunch of different types of exercises that I'm now able to do on my own as well. Every week for the two years she managed to make us all very sore because she pushed us to try our best and increased our weights when we improved. At the same time, she is not a yeller or somebody who motivates you by scaring you - I don't enjoy that type of feedback. She is encouraging in a positive way. Even though our small group had people of all different levels, she still was able to have us do team-based exercises that were challenging for all of us. I definitely recommend training with her and Houston is lucky to have her! She was able to make me more confident in my fitness and put me on a path of having working out be part of my lifestyle. read more

Valencia, the owner, literally opened the place a couple months before the pandemic hit. Since everything has reopened she has gone out her way to make sure that precautions are taken. She makes sure that that the equipment is clean and that the number of people in the gym is conducive for social distancing. Apart from these precautions she is gifted at what she does especially with personal training. read more

I trained here with Robin. I had paid sessions here in full up front with her. I was looking for someone more to teach me how to use the equipment so that each time I go to the gym I would be more comfortable and familiar. However if you're looking for more of a HIT workout, that is what she is known for. I did pay my last session with her and she never got back to me or each time I'd schedule she wasn't available. 2 stars for the clean gym and the owner is nice. read more

Valencia has been my fitness guru for five years. Reasons I chose her is that I have a handcrafted regimen for me. For years tried many gym memberships and they really weren't helpful as far as nutrition and most trainers did not look like trainers. With Valencia her love of her craft and knowledge and the fact she is fit got me motivated to do better. Health is the wealth. We are upon the seasons with Family, Fun and FOOD. This is the time to start investing in yourself. You will be challenged and motivated to be your best self. New year around the corner. Nothing like stress relief and getting fit at the same time. ‍‍ read more

I started working out 2 months ago. I have tried to work out many times in the past but never stuck with it, did two weeks max and gave up. This time around i joined one of Valencia's classes and got hooked. I found a passion for working out. She helped me with the workouts, was patient when explaining proper form and was understanding of my limitations. I have some health issues and on days i wasnt feeling my best she would adjust the workout for me so i could still participate in the class. When i started the class i would have to do weightless lunges and hip thrust, now after 2 months i can do 15lb lunges and 90 lb hip thrusts (huge personal improvement for me). V is the best coach, shes an inspiration and one of the reasons why i didnt give up like i had in the past. Thanks V! read more

Absolutely delightful place and a wonderful, kind, friendly staff. The gym is small but extremely functional; every piece of equipment looks like new and is well taken care of, the space sparkling clean is very well utilized. I stopped by to check out this fitness center to see if it'd be the right place for me and was offered a trial visit with no questions asked -- no forms to fill, no personal information, no liability wavers, no payment. The wonderful staff person on duty even brought me a bottle of water seeing that I didn't have one. And similarly, no questions as I was leaving, just a friendly smile and an invitation to come back. Needless to say, I WILL be coming back! read more

When I made it to the gym, my workout routine of listening to Spotify on the elliptical and doing a few tired weight-training routines from Pinterest wasn't feeling terribly effective. Valencia is a great personal trainer in large part because she's an excellent teacher. Her personal training sessions have taught me how to create a varied and effective workout. Valencia also consistently explains why we're doing what we're doing. She is a very proactive tool added to my new lifestyle! She provides good information about healthy diets that is useful in everyday situations as I start traveling again for work. Valencia is just a cool girl, easy to talk to....someone who makes you feel very comfortable as you put yourself in a vulnerable position of attempting self-improvement...And I've seen results: I lost 8 pounds in a month, I drink less and I just feel better about myself! read more
