What a CLASS ACT all around! I hired a lot of my vendors early, but one of the last things I wanted was a Videographer. If you look on many wedding sites, and see 3/4 of them are very expensive and very elaborate (one even showed you can have drones shoot some of the video....just wow!) I did not need that much! I had a small wedding in Round Rock, and wanted "live action" of my and my soon to husband's special day! Complete Weddings fit that bill! From the pleasant person I first contacted, Lauren, to Andrew who was my videographer, to Sean in post production....all had great communication with, and very happy with their services! Andrew called ahead of the day and asked how our services were going to go. He met up with our photographer on the day of, and did the "before shots" and worked hand in hand with him through out the ceremony and reception! Afterwards, I got the email about how I would get the video. Sean took me step by step on how I could choose music, or they could (*can not use copyrighted music, but that was ok). He told me how long it would take (actually came back quicker). I shared the link with my family and friends, and all of them loved it. For my husband and myself, I wanted the "raw" footage, and Sean relayed how I could purchase that as well. Look forward to getting that soon! We used COMPLETE for both our DJ and photobooth and we cannot say enough great things about both! Tristan was our DJ and I'd guarantee that our wedding wouldn't have been the same without him. He was exceptionally thorough and knew his music! We spoke with him several days before the wedding to go over the music and the timeline and he was attentive and personable and easily adapted to our style and what our theme was. We hired COMPLETE Weddings + Events for our DJ needs. We had already assembled most of our wedding team before considering DJ needs, but their other services are probably worth checking out, too! COMPLETE Weddings + Events was extremely easy to work with and very responsive when we had questions. We mainly had one meeting with a sales manager (Jeremy Rubenstein), who very quickly put together a package perfect for what we wanted, and then a final meeting with our DJ (Hannah) before the wedding to ensure day-of coordination. When managing so many vendors, especially in the last month leading up to the wedding, I was really grateful to have a vendor who was just laid-back and didn't need too much from me! Hannah was our DJ on wedding day, and she provided our AV needs for our ceremony and toast during dinner (she brought both a lapel and a hand-held microphone, which our officiant was grateful for!), handled announcements throughout reception, and provided great dance music that got our guests moving on the dance floor. DJ Hannah also worked really well with the string quartet we hired, who played for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner. We also had a deal that bundled uplights (we chose purple, which turned out beautiful!) into our package, which really gave our dance floor a great ambiance. I received this company's name from my wedding coordinator @ Barton Creek Resort. I saw great reviews online and testimonials on their website, so I was sold. I wanted someone who had a great reputation and had no delivery problems. I got exactly what I wanted. They have this great online planning website where you can slowly put in your event schedule, likes, dislikes, etc. They also ask you to provide information about your DJ - what you would like him/her to wear, their style, how interactive they are... our DJ was amazing and we had so much fun at our wedding reception. Complete weddings + events was everything we needed for our wedding day. We worked with Rachel and she was very helpful. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars, is that everything was very last minute. I guess they contract out DJs and he didn't contact me until a week before the wedding. I had our ceremony music all chosen and it was a bit stressful to make sure everything was going to go as planned. If I would change anything, it would be to have DJs set up a phone consult in advance so that couples are stress free about the ceremony music and anything else they need. Other than that, our DJ did a great job! The music was all perfect and he was wonderful to work with. We had James Septoe, 100% recommend him! I went to one of their happy hours and after talking to the owner, Keven, I knew they were the ones I wanted. All the services that we got from complete wedding were awesome. Our photos came out beautiful, the dj rocked the house, the day of planner kept us on schedule and worry free, and the photo booth was a huge hit with our guests. We even got a copy of all the photos from the photo booth in a booked signed by all of our guests which was perfect because we didn't have a sign in book. Our wedding was in June 2019 and we used Complete Wedding+Events for our DJ and photo booth. Our DJ, Dex, did a good job. He played all of the songs that we requested, was professional and timely, and accommodated us with the projector setup. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience with the photo booth operation. In short, the photo booth started about 2 hours late, the photo printer didn't work, our guests did not get email copies of their pictures, and the camera was placed too close so people's heads were cut off in group photos. We were given a USB drive containing about 42 photos after the event but only about 50% looked decent (without heads cut off). We contacted Complete the next week to complain and the operations manager Steven Perry called us to apologize and offered $150 refund for the $595 amount we paid for the photo booth. Eventually we were able to get him to increase our refund to $250 and they sent us printed copies of the 42 photos. We appreciated that the company was willing to compensate us but it is not possible to make up for the lost experience and enjoyment that our guests could have had. We would have been willing to pay more for photobooth service if it meant getting reliable photobooth equipment/operator and higher quality pictures. In summary, we would recommend DJ Dex for the music but not photobooth service from Complete Weddings and Events. read more

The event center that hosted my wedding recommended Complete Music & Video, and I chose to go with them. Overall, I was pleased with the company itself. Tara was very friend and responsive to my inquiries. My only complaint with the company would be that we weren't allowed to use the "Standard DJ Package" at our particular location, which is kind of lame because the package the we were forced to go with was $300 more for almost the same thing. We were very dissatisfied with the DJ himself unfortunately, which is the primary reason for the two star review. He was very difficult to meet up with in person. He cancelled the first meeting we scheduled last minute, and recommended that we just meet over Skype instead. He was then unresponsive to our emails. When we finally got him to meet up with us in person, we gave him a list of songs we wanted played at specific times and a CD with all the songs on it. On the day of the wedding, he played all the correct songs during the ceremony and during dinner - that part was great. During the rest of the reception though, he failed to play a single song correctly. When we talked to him, we found out that he didn't bring a vast majority of the songs on the list that we'd given him. He didn't play the right song during our entrance, the bouquet toss, the garter toss, the cake cutting, or for our last song. He played all the typical cheesy songs for these instead. This was a huge disappointment to us. I will say that our guests all liked the music. He kept with the flow of the event going well, and we did get some compliments on that. I wouldn't recommend Complete Music & Video, unless you're very careful about which DJ you select. If you don't get a good vibe from him early on, tell CM&V you'd like to go with someone else. read more

I'm not even the bride or the groom, just one of the bridesmaids, but I had to write a review so that others would know this business is completely unprofessional and incompetent. It seems that if your sole service is to provide music for an event, then a business could at least follow through on playing the correct music on queue. Imagine the surprise the bridal party experienced during the ceremony recessional when the DJ did not play the correct song. It was so awkward standing there looking at the DJ as he continued to fumble around with finding the correct song (played the wrong song 3Xs) and then him screaming across asking "what song was it again?". We were standing there for quite a while (my guess was that he was trying to download it from iTunes) before the bride finally had to scream across her guests during the wedding ceremony "just play a song!". Seriously? How many events have they DJed? Also this guy was standing around the dance floor and didn't even play a song during the garter toss. When my friend finally asked him to play something, or at least sing something he replied with, "sorry I don't do that". Apparently he doesn't play music either. This business evidently does not know what they are doing. Others should steer clear and be warned. read more

Reagan and his assistant Steven were our videographers for our wedding on 3.11.17. My husband and I are still talking about how professional and personal they both were. We had quite the rambunctious wedding party and they captured every moment. I cannot wait to see the final product. I can tell that they both love what they do. Complete Music was good, not great. We hired them for our wedding in September 2013 and were happy with the results, but not wowed by any means. It's a huge company, offering competitive prices and many services. Being able to use the same company for your DJ, photographer, videographer, photo booth, etc, is definitely a plus, however we chose just to use them for their DJ services. Responsiveness was a bit of a problem, and I sometimes had to write several emails until a heard back from them. Actually, let me clarify. I received numerous emails back from them while waiting for a response. Most of these, however, were marketing emails letting my know of the various deals and packages they were offering. They told us we would be allowed to pick a DJ based on their DJ profile page. When we tried to do so (6 months in advance), they said that because their DJ's change regularly it was too soon and we'd have to wait until about 6 weeks prior to our wedding. That was understandable, but when the 6-week marker came and I tried to choose a DJ, they said he had already been booked. We were subsequently assigned one that wasn't even on their list. Then it took another three weeks for them to provide me with the contact info for our DJ. The Dj we were assigned, Tim, was more responsive than the company as whole. There were many songs I wanted played that were not on their list, and when I asked him what format he would like me to bring them in, he told me that he had a personal song list that was much more extensive than the companies, and the songs that he didn't have he could download, which was great. On the day of the wedding, the processional music, my walking down the aisle song, as well as both the first dance and father daughter dance songs, were all on point. The music during reception was good and kept our guests dancing (which is what I wanted), but many of the songs I had on my list were missed. Admittedly, I had told him that I didn't need every single song played, but it seemed as though there were only a select few that were actually played. Also, I was given the option to have my DJ take requests from our guests. Many of these request were never granted. And worse than that, at one point I went up to the DJ booth to make a request and had to wait 5-6 songs to hear it. Now, I don't mean to sound like a bridezilla, but if the bride requests a song you should play that song next! Overall, we were satisfied. Neither my husband nor I are "music people", so spending extra $$ on the best of the best wasn't in our best interest or in our budget. The most important songs were played, and that's what mattered the most to us. read more

Our DJ was bad. He messed up almost all of the announcements. We met with him beforehand and sent him a timeline of exactly what to say when. I don't know who's instructions he was following but it was not ours. My two biggest disappointments were 1) entrance - he took long pauses because he didn't know how to refer to us and 2) last song/exit - played wrong song at wrong time. I provided him with a bunch of preferred songs for the reception but he only played a few. Instead he played random songs that did not get the crowd dancing. read more

Went through 3 different DJs before one actually contacted me for my wedding...and it was less than a week before the wedding. I was sent a huge form to fill out the day before the wedding and he didn't even follow the song choices. He even called out the wrong parents for the dances and didn't pay attention to when certain songs should be played...ie, leaving the ceremony and starting the reception. I think to say that I am extremely displeased by Complete Music & Video's performance would be an understatement. I was in the wedding party and also acted as the day of coordinator for my friend's wedding so I experienced first hand how poorly the event was handled. Complete Music specifically touts their professionalism and customer service but I would have to strongly disagree with the company's claim. My impression was that the DJ had not prepared sufficiently for my best friend's wedding in Austin at the end of August. 1) When the DJ arrived to setup for the wedding, he asked the venue manager for a timeline of the reception. This struck me as odd since he should have had the timeline well before the event. The wedding's timeline was pretty straight forward but for reasons I don't quite understand --- everything IMPORTANT and associated with the DJ service seemed to go out the window. 2) My friend and her husband had selected a very specific song for the exit from their nuptial ceremony. The DJ did not play the song on queue. When he did start song it was the WRONG song. He fumbled around for a couple of minutes and then started the SAME INCORRECT song again. Of course at this point the bride was a bit exasperated so she told him to play a different song so she could get her guests out of the 100 degree heat. 3) Timing for toasts and people's titles during the reception were choppy and inaccurate. I would NEVER recommend this DJ service because I believe that Weddings are one of the most important memories that people will remember during their lifetimes. Granted, things may not always go as planned but it is the job of the vendors to PREPARE and be able to ADJUST course when a roadblock appears. I do not believe that Complete Music was prepared or able to adjust. Basically the service sticks out as a relatively big sore spot on hectic but successful wedding day. read more

This company is terrible - RUN AWAY! Not only did the DJ ruin my wedding, but the customer service after-the-fact was even worse. Setting up my DJ services was great and the people couldn't have been friendlier. However, it wasn't until 3 days before the wedding that my actual DJ called to go over my details. This call was terrible and the DJ did not impress me at all. I immediately called the company and my venue (who I booked them through) and I was assured that things would be OK. They were far from. The DJ played the wrong music during my first dance. He pronounced the names of my wedding party incorrectly. He completely disregarded any and all playlists that I had given him for the event. But worst of all, the microphone used during the ceremony had a short in it and kept cutting out, so our video (that we paid good money for via a different company) is ruined! Also, nobody at the cremony could even hear the officiant say "You may now kiss the bride". It was terrible. I was sent an online satisfaction survey the following day and I gave them true feedback about how terrible the service was. Their only reply was a canned response thanking me for the feedback; in the same canned reply they also spelled my name wrong. Great customer service there! I'm horrified and I'm fighting for a refund. I doubt I'll get anywhere because they don't seem to care about anything. They are terrible! read more

I contacted the company because I was looking for a videographer for my upcoming wedding. They really tried to make it work with my budget which is not something I encountered a lot in the wedding industry. Even when I, eventually, was not able to get enough room for it in my budget, and had to tell them no, Kevin was super nice. He did everything we asked of him, perfectly. He seemed to really understand our musical tastes. We were a bit picky about songs we didn't want to hear, and he respected that perfectly. He was also a perfect gentleman for the entire process, and overall just fun to be around. If possible, I would definitely suggest requesting Earnest for your next event. He was great! read more

VERY DISSAPOINTED. DONT BOOK WITH THEM. We requested to cancel their service a couple months after scheduling and way before the wedding date (about 9 months), they said that the deposit wasn't going to be refunded which we understood. On the contract is was clear that we still could cancel. But then they call us and email us several times pushing for us to reschedule the wedding date, which was not something we were ready to do. After many attempts we decided to ignore them, to be surprised 3 days before the original wedding date, with several harassing emails and calls asking for full payment because they never wrote down our cancellation. We canceled in writing and again by phone, we forwarded our emails to the manager and after some very aggressive and rude responses on his part he said he was going to sue us for that money. We are very disappointed on this company and there was no one else to talk to besides this 'manager' Arturo Arámbulo. Terrible service, very rude and aggressive to my fiancée and me. read more

This is the best value for money when it comes to professional wedding video and music DJ services in Austin. I attended a wedding where the bride had a friend play music on their ipod, and it was a disaster. No announcements were made and things went by without the guests even realizing it. Also, the sound was crackling and no one could say anything. Complete's DJs make the whole wedding run so much better. And they are clearly having a good time playing the tunes, and that energy transfers onto the dance floor.They made announcements before the toasts, cake cutting and bouquet toss so that the guests knew what to expect. As for their video, the footage and the final highlight reels were gorgeous. The videographers are kind and courteous and careful to not get in the way. Its nice to see wedding vendors who know that the special day is about the couple, and not themselves. read more

Just got home from a wedding DJ'd by these guys. The sound was utterly atrocious. The pastor's mic during the ceremony sounded like it was coming through a muffled cardboard box, was very quiet, and was only about 25% intelligible. The music during the reception was very poorly EQ'd (little bass, piercing hi-mids) and WAY too loud for a wedding reception. My ears are still ringing an hour after leaving. Furthermore, the crossfades between songs were ultra-amateur (abrupt and not in time). Our friends deserved better than this, and I'm sure they paid for better than this. The videographer, was hitting on the wedding party and guests. He asked the bride how she met her husband...then quickly decided to make it part of the "video experience." It was rather obvious to witness him using the lens for lascivious purposes as opposed to shooting footage. Basically, he was intrusive and unprofessional. Complete Music RUINED MY WEDDING!!! This was the WORST DJ service EVER. My wedding was held at the Vintage Villas last week and I had no choice to go with their preferred DJ service which is Complete Music otherwise they'd charge me $500 to go with someone else. That's NOT much of a choice is it. Anyway, I logged in and spent about 2 hours on the event planner page. Then one month before the wedding I could not logged on to update it anymore. I called Scott the manager and he said he fixed it but when I tried to get back on it still wouldn't let me. I then met with the DJ, Dustin, to go over the details. I told him about the site and he said he's tell Scott to fix it and the he'll get the event plan from him as well. At this point I was pretty busy with other wedding details so I didn't follow up thinking that they'd just do their job correctly since they are supposedly the #1 DJ service. Dustin literally RUINED my wedding. I paid complete music $900 to come and ruin my wedding. Dustin's ONLY job is to play the correct song at the correct time but he didn't do any of it. We had a special exit song that we wanted played but he played the wrong song at first and made me and my guest wait an extra 15 minutes in the scorching heat (110 degrees that day). Then he yelled across the ceremony asking what song I wanted to be played. I responded with the song title and artist and he continued to play the wrong song. Then I was fed up of waiting and I felt bad for my guests and told him to just play any song. Afterwards he said that he had the song but it wouldn't play. If this was truly the case then he wouldn't have yelled across asking us what song we wanted played. Side note, I called him that morning to ask him if he knew the song and that I wanted the first 40 seconds looped and he said he got it. He was suppose to be there 2 hours before the ceremony to set up and if he tried it and it didn't work he should have contacted me or someone from the wedding and then we could have helped him correct it but he did not do that. To make things worst he messed up everything else through out the night. It was clear that he did not read the event planner that took me two hours to fill out. He didn't get any of the titles for my wedding party announcement correct. He didn't control the crowd properly and he didn't even mix the songs through out the night. He was missing from his booth the majority of the time and my husband caught him crying outside for a part of the night. He got the order of the dances wrong, and played our first dance song without notice and so we started late. He didn't play any music during the garter toss and my husband had to stand there like an idiot without any music. EVERYONE at my wedding complained to me about this guy and said that it was the WORST part of my wedding. I am really angry and I can never get my day back. Overall, they were the WORST DJ service I have ever experienced. If I wanted some one to ruin my wedding I had plenty of people that would come and do it for free. In the end my relentless complaining got me $450 back but know that I paid $450 to these people pains me. If I had to do it all over again I'd pay the extra $500 to hire my own people that I KNOW would do a great job. I am still ANGRY and BITTER because they didn't give me a full refund which I believe was totally warranted. read more

Stay away from this company! The DJ was unprofessional and disorganized. First, he was supposed to play a specific song after the ceremony was over when the grooms,bridesmaids, bride and groom walked off. He played the wrong music and then yelled over to the wedding party. "what's the name of the music?" He should have played the music right after he was told, it was taken him a while.
