It would have been worth it even if it was full price. They are very amazing to work with!!! We ended up getting an upgraded black sparkly backdrop and also the album as a keepsake. It was fun to design our logo and Jenny is great to work with and very responsive. We had two attendants set up the night of the wedding and everyone loved them, it was such a hit! We had a line the entire time. They brought all of the props and everyone got two copies of their film strip and then they creatively put all of the other strips in our lovely wedding album! We also were all over the place the day of the wedding but they made sure to get us so we could get a few pics together as husband and wife and they put that in the first few pages of the album. I loved it all, it was such a great keepsake memory and these guys were so wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them for any type of celebratory or corporate function because they were one of the awesome local vendors we used that made our night truly magical!

We met with Jonathan once before the wedding and agreed on the price and told him about our wedding and our expectations. We did not worry about them a bit and they did an awesome job. They were really flexible while editing the video and accommodated all my requests. And the outcome...OMG, the video is absolutely wonderful! We've got sooo many compliments on it. I am absolutely blown away by the incredible wedding photos we came away with. John is a phenomenal…read morephotographer, but he's also a great person and very easy to work with. We hired him for our wedding and engagement shoot. He is reliable, personable, and professional. He listened to what our concerns and wishes were with what we were wanting from our photography and accomplished exactly what we asked for. We were both super awkward for posed photos but he found ways to make us look super natural (no idea how). I know we weren't easy, because I told him I absolutely hate posed photos, we did most of them before the ceremony and told him that once the ceremony hit, I wanted to enjoy the cocktail hour with my guests and we gave him like 20 minutes for posed photos lol. He nailed it! Our dream was to have photos mostly candid and of us and our guests just enjoying themselves and it's exactly what we got. I loved how many energetic candid shots he got of our guests in perfectly fun moments. He is tremendously talented and my husband and I both enjoyed working with him and getting to know him. We also were very appreciative that he was always very responsive when communicating, hit every deadline he had promised with turnaround for our photos, and gave us completely realistic timelines. Special shoutout to his delivery of a few photos earlier so we could use them for Christmas/Hannukah cards! I cannot recommend him enough. Go with John and you'll be in great hands.

Hey Yelpers! I know there are HUNDREDS of wedding photographers out there to photograph your…read morewedding in Central Texas. Let me make this easy for you: Put John Winters Photography at the top of your short list immediately. He offers something unique, colorful, and full of personality that so many photographers today lack. We are so lucky and happy we found John Winters Photography. I contacted a different photographer who was already booked for our date, and she referred me to John. We immediately vibed with John's website and photography style and asked him to meet to talk about potentially shooting our wedding. Today's photography "trend" is the matte finish muted look, and we did not want that at all. We wanted photography capturing bright colors, fun, emotion, and cool portraits. John Winters does all of this and more. We first met a coffee shop to go over what we like about photography and John's packages and approach. It was a great meeting, and we felt he really understood what we wanted from the first time meeting him. John was a pleasure to work with on our actual wedding day. He arrived early to scout locations so that he could plan shots for us and understand the layout of the private home we rented. He navigated the three floors of the home with ease capturing great shots of us and our loved ones along the way. Our wedding was very intimate with 30 people on Lake Travis, and we wanted him to capture our special bond, our family, our dear friends, and our dogs. John delivered a beautiful mix of both spontaneous shots and portraiture in his approach to photographing our wedding. He was flexible when we were ahead or behind schedule, and he got us to the best lighting for our shots including epic Lake Travis sunset shots. He was fun, kind, and energetic as a photographer, and we really felt like he was one of our friends by the end of the night. John also delivered our online digital gallery way in advance of his promised deadline. We will definitely use John Winters Photography to capture the fun, brightness of life in the future. Go get your brightness on with John!

I found a Groupon online for Ron Parks Photography and went…read morewith it because the price seemed reasonable when compared to the shining reviews... but alas, you do get what you pay for. I hired Ron Parks as my photographer for my family maternity shoot. My initial phone conversation with Ron was great in that he went over the details for the day. We let him know that we wanted to shoot around the city of Georgetown, TX; he confirmed and also added that we could utilize his studio that was located above a coffee shop, as it had a huge window with a beautiful view and would make for nice silhouette photos. Ron also advised that we could have as many outfit changes as we wanted during the hour shoot. I couldn't wait for the day and told my husband and daughter to plan for at least one outfit change. The day of the shoot came and we waited for him in the coffee shop like he asked. Once he arrived, I thought it strange that we didn't initially go up to his studio to talk about the shoot or prep, but we went with it and began our family photo shoot around the beautiful city of Georgetown. After the first half of the shoot it was time for an outfit change. We weren't escorted to his studio, but instead, back to the coffee shop to use their restroom to change into our second outfits; my husband changed in the car. Odd, but the general experience of the shoot so far was enjoyable, so we continued. As we neared the end of the second half of the shoot, I asked Ron about his studio idea with the view and the silhouette pictures. He responded that we would have to climb a number of stairs to get to it and mentioned a few other things that deterred my decision to want to go to the studio to finish the shoot. On any other day I would have pushed the issue, but I didn't because I was 8 months pregnant, wearing heels and getting pretty tired. At the end of the shoot, Ron offered us another photo package in which we could purchase the entire shoot of over 100 photos for a reasonable price-- we purchased it. We were advised to give him about a week to send the full photo DVD that we purchased. After 3 weeks of no word, I sent him an email to check on the status; I was advised it was in the mail. Once we received the disc, my family and I sat down to review the (over 100) maternity shoot pictures. I was almost immediately unimpressed and disappointed in the quality, lighting, creativity, poses, and general look of the photos. In most of the photos around the city where we were positioned in front of windows, either Ron or a member of our party's reflection was in it. The results just did not strike us as inspired or professional in quality at all. Of all of the photos we paid for, we only liked about 6 of them. Overall, Ron's a very nice guy and we had a fun experience, but I would not choose to go with this company again for a significant photo shoot.
