I had Rodney Frey with Complete Tree Service come out and do two days work for me. The second day I was having surgery and before I left for the hospital I paid his workers in full for two days. I had one of my workers check on his workers the second day two hour after they were supposed to start and they were just sitting around talking. After I returned home I saw they only cut back three small tree. I asked Rodney twice to come by and see what they got done. He assured me he would come look and make up his own mind. Rodney never showed up and now is calling me a crook since I asked for a refund for 1/2 a day since his guy's got next to nothing done. I doubt they even put in half a day. Rodney and crew were out again this year and I was not disappointed! He responded quickly to my request for a quote and were out as soon as it finally stopped raining. They did a lot of trimming back on some junipers, a couple of cypress, a pine tree and our cape honeysuckle and star jasmine hedges. They also did some light pruning on our magnolia, shaped a lemon tree and Rodney did some heavy and badly needed pruning on our old apple tree. I found out this company near my job in Encinitas local tree service guys , when I called The owner came out to my house even late after work 7:00pm and gave me pricing and told me all my needs and step by step what's good for my front and backyard should be done. Amazing service! We had a large pepper tree in our front yard removed and had them stump grind as well. We met the owner, Rod, during the estimate and he was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The price was also great!! During the removal, they made an extra effort to keep our fence and windows safe - including our neighbors as well! Super appreciative on how they took care of our home and our neighbor's! It was a large tree, so during the removal was a big task. Part of the tree was in the power lines and they were able to remove it safely and with care. Once they were finished, they cleaned our front yard and left it better than they found it. Met with the owner Rodney Frey. He gave us a plan to clean up out landscaping in workable phases. Rodney and his crew completed Phase 1, the tree trimming. Several of the trees were a challenge, all are old and in need of some focused care. They got it and now look fantastic. The crew showed up on time got the trimming done and removed all the trimmings and waste. The price for the work was fair. Rodney does a lot more than tree trimming, in addition to tree trimming and landscaping, he designs and builds custom fences, install custom gates, optimizes irrigation, pretty much you name it. I'm a real estate agent and videographer and last night I was filming some B Roll for an Encinitas highlight video when I crashed my drone into a 75' palm tree on the side of a cliff over moonlight beach. Amazing service. I have a lot of trees in my backyard and normally do all the work myself. The pile of trimmings was too large for me this time so I contacted several companies to get quotes. The quote was just to remove the 8 foot pile of my trimmings and to trim the walkway to gain access. Of the four I contacted, Rodney the owner was the most responsive. We connected on a Sunday and he came over that evening to give me a quote. ON A SUNDAY. His quote was VERY competitive. We arranged for him to come later that same week.
