I am so happy with Kevin and his team headed by Pedro and his guys who are saving my beautiful Primrose tree which is quite tall, magnificent and beautiful. The tree was attacked by bugs and I tried my local landscaper who sprayed it with something, then my knowledgeable handyman who sprayed it and trimmed it back severely. All to no avail. I finally bit the bullet and looked up an arborist and found Kevin at Arbor Artistry. I feared the worst when asking the price but found Kevin's cost quite reasonable. The guys came in the cherry picker and spent a couple of hours delicately pruning my tree until it was free to sway in the wind again. They put nitrogen into the ground around it and sprayed neem oil into it. I can see how happy my tree is already! The team also pruned some trees which abut my neighbor's home so as not to infringe on their siding and keep the trees' roots from creating a problem. Something I didn't recognize until Kevin brought it to my attention. I very much appreciated his advice and counsel. They beautifully cleaned up our overgrown quarter-acre. I have used Arbor Artistry to expertly trim my 11 specimen trees for the 4th time. Also, i just had Kevin and his crew take down a diseased 30' high Liquid Ambar and grind the stump - a major job. They planted a new 30" box tree in it's place and also planted a Eureka Lemon box tree in another area of my yard. They do excellent work cutting down trees, planting trees, trimming trees. I have lived on this family property my whole life. We have several trees that are heirlooms and precious including a gigantic magnolia tree. Kevin is a true arborist in that he is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of all trees and how they should be trimmed and cared for. ZERO STARS. Avoid this business! The owner Kevin is nothing 'short' of unprofessional, to say the absolute least. Several other tree services denounce him as well. Citing verbal abuse, not a man of his word, instigating fights (yeah that's right, one spoke of a time when Kevin challenged him to a fist fight and threatened he'd go to the guys house). General consensus is he's an asshole. And I'll vouch for that. When I brought the following to his attention - The guys staff killed my tree - he took zero responsibility, became instantly hostile and threatened me with attorneys and spoke with more anger, foul language and a complete lack of respect than I've ever encountered in my 50+ years. Do yourself a favor and work with another business. There's too many great ones out there to trust than award an undeserving, uncaring and nasty guy like Kevin with your business let alone chance your unreplacable trees etc in his and his staffs hands. Because if any issues arise, you're guaranteed to be treated with disrespect. Your choice, make the right one. read more

When we had to finally face the fact that the drought had destroyed some of our trees, I went on the hunt for a reputable arborist to help us. There was a question about whether to remove or trim trees. One company I talked to was all about removing trees, with no thought to salvaging any of them. That seemed pretty scorched earth to me. After a great deal of searching, I found Kevin at Arbor Artistry. I liked that others had said he was an up front, honest guy with a great deal of knowledge about trees, from where certain kinds would thrive to how best to trim. I called him, told him I had new trees to replace ones that were dead beyond saving, due to be delivered within the week, and asked if he could help us. Not only did he come out the very next day, but he had his crew on site a couple of days later for a full property trim/removal/transplant experience. When you work with Kevin, you know you're working with someone who will bend over backwards to make sure you're a happy customer. His crew is a phenomenal group of guys, easy to talk to and ready to do whatever it takes to do things right. Their's is not a tree trimming company just looking to haul trees out of the ground, though if you are looking for that, they will do it well. Kevin listens to what you want, and counsels on the best course of action, at a reasonable price. He also readily provides his license, proof of insurance, and is a veteran. Kevin recently did a job for me & saved me hundreds of $$$ from these other scandalous large corporate tree trimming businesses. They had additional charges for work that, either was not required, or wasn't going to be done. He answered all my questions, comments and concerns. James M (on the previous post) is correct when he says "Do your homework & verify current certification(s) on other tree trimming businesses." If they just have a State Contractors License, that's not enough for all jobs. For example, I had trees covering in the electrical lines above my house. In order to trim those, the company must have & show proof of proper certification to trim around those high voltage wires. The two prior companies who submitted bids never mention that certification. Kevin did and produced the proper, current documents/certifications. Just ask as many questions that concern what you're requesting. Trust me, if they have any integrity, they'll be honest, fair & should have no problem answering your questions with vigor and confidence. If they don't provide you with logical, reasonable and professional answer(s) from your inquiries, they're probably not legit. Save yourself precious time & call Kevin @ Arbor Artistry. Kevin Bejma, founder & owner of Arbor Artistry has been in this field of work for 30 years. He ran the Tree Trimming Division for the City of Vista for 10 years before opening up his own business. His workers are top notch, from standard trimming to custom cuts, Arbor Artistry gets it done. I've used other tree trimming companies, but they're either too big or too incompetent to listen to what the customer is asking for. So at the end of the day, you're left with their version & not your request. Kevin will answer all your questions & concerns & will double & triple check that his worker's understand what needs to be done. Finally, he is honest & works with integrity. I requested a certain (large) tree be trimmed during the winter months & I knew it would cost a pretty good pennie to have it done. Kevin could have easily charged me to have it done, instead, he gave me a basic education on that particular tree. If he were to trim it in the winter, it would not have survived & would have died by summer. He could have easily charged me to trim it in the Winter, then charged me to remove it in the Summer & finally charged me to plant another one or something similar around Fall & TRIPLED his cost. But he did the right thing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you, at the VERY least, have Kevin give you a bid. I'm confident he can beat it. Finally, he's a small family, veteran owned business with all the required insurance & updated. "Mandatory" State Certification for certain "special" jobs that require a particular certification. Do your homework and always asked to see the company's current certifications. If they don't have them, they LEGALLY can not perform the work, which could be "neglect" on your part if take them to court later. Kevin's the Man!!!! Call him for a bid at the very least.
