He came the same day I…read morecalled and took immediate interest in diagnosing a strange electrical situation in my condo that was causing me to not have heat in my bedroom at the beginning of 10 sub 30 degree days. By searching and intelligent questioning we were able to diagnose that former owner was in the alarm business and the way he wired things was causing the issue. Once he determined the source of the issue he immediately jumped into resolving the problem very quickly and completely. Steve reminds me of my dad in the manner of being a perfectionist for his customers and has so much experience and knowledge, but takes the time to explain to you the "how" and "why" so you know why he did what he did to fix the issue. Allows you to feel confident that the issue is truly resolved and just a fine gentleman who honors his craft. Recommend him with the highest level of confidence if in need of an electrician.

He installed a new fuse box, as well as several ceiling fans in our apartment. He had to snake electrical wires through the ceiling for the fans. He cut the ceiling so the holes were not immediately visible and could be easily patched. He worked efficiently and neatly, cleaning up as he went along. I HIGHLY recommend Ocean Electric! We plan on using their plumbing services soon, as well.

They did a good job trying to minimize the damage as much as possible. The damage that was made was promptly fixed. This is the third time we've had them come to the home. I'm writing a review for this particular service call since it was larger than the last service call (thermostat installs). Electricians Vinny and Anthony were personable and answered all our questions. Estimates are done via computer software, so you can expect consistency in pricing - they're not just making up numbers as they go along. Overall, I found them professional, knowledgeable, and reliable and would use them again. Electrical work isn't cheap - especially on Long Island - but I think we made out OK given the quality of the work and the amount of time they spent on the job.

They upgraded my service to 200 amps, moved the service meter to a better location, installed new service panels, and identified/explained code violations. They did an excellent job on all. I had the pleasure of working with Lou for the initial estimate. He was interested in solving my problems, listened to all concerns and answered my many questions. Each recommendation was backed by good reason and explained clearly. He also pointed out things another company's estimate had missed. We found Lou easy to work with, the office was responsive, and the price fair. So we went with Fielack and am happy we did. The moment they arrived, I knew these guys were serious. Steve, Jim, Matt, Fermin, and Todd went to work immediately and got everything done in a single day. It was clear that they worked as a tight, efficient team. They used drop cloths, was respectful of our property, and cleaned up after themselves. Everyone was courteous and professional. And Jim is a walking tree of knowledge who provided insightful commentary. Plus, their work looks good. Straight lines, clean cuts, good seals, and smart placement. My parents, who are frugal and picky, saw the results and were satisfied. Like, we probably have the best service meter and panels on the block lol. I look forward to working with Fielack for future projects. Thanks guys!
