We have tankless water heater installed in our home for about 10 years. We have had love hate relationship for this equipment when working we love it, however this past few years this thing had to be reset frequently to get it back to working due consistent xxxx error. So I have decided to move on and thinking of going back to traditional tank water heater. I had Mike out from Complete Plumbing last night to fix an old rotted drain pipe under my kitchen sink. This is the second time I have used Complete Plumbing (first time was for a clogged bathtub) and they'll be my go-to guys for any future plumbing needs. I called on a Tues and was told the soonest he could make it out to my house (after 5 per my request) was Thursday evening. That was fine with me. I called Mike around 6pm on Thursday evening to make sure we were still on the schedule and he said absolutely, he would be there by 7:00. Sure enough, 7:00 on the dot and Mike pulled up in his van. He immediately assessed the situation, told me he could have the work done on the spot and the price he quoted me was much less than I expected. As soon as I agreed to have the work done he was off to the van to gather all the tools and materials. He cut out the old pipe, put in the new, slapped it all back together, tested for leaks AND cleaned up his mess all within an hour and by 8:00 I had my sink back and he had a check in his hand! Mike is a nice guy who works quick and at a very reasonable rate. Bonus for giving my two young kids little LED keychain flashlights... They loved them! We randomly hired this company after spotting the company truck on the freeway .( I know crazy).They did some mixer valve work that no other company could guarantee to not damage the existing tiles. Mike Torculas, the owner did a FABULOUS job all within the quoted time frame and budget. We where so pleased, we have had this company do multiple mixer valve jobs at our condo complex. He has also done other smaller drain fixes and kitchen plumbing that we have been pleased with. We discovered we were getting gouged for pricing by our plumber on a water heater by hundreds of dollars. Desperate for a plumber who get there on-site fast, who would break out costs to explain their billing, and who we felt comfortable with, we called several plumbers and found Mike. Easy to talk to, totally transparent in how he justifies his pricing, completely honest. We hired Mike to solve a problem with our bathtub and he was on time and professional. Instead of trying to sell a new fixture, he found he balancing valve was frozen and replaced it. A little background before I begin the review: We live in San Juan Bautista, in a 60+yr old house with the original plumbing.....I know. Basically our drain pipes crumbled upon touch. To our story, our kitchen sink plugged up a week ago and we tried 3 different local/Hollister plumbers to come out ASAP to give us an estimate and fix the damage. 1 out of the 3 came....two days later.....and QUICKLY assessed the house and pipes. The other plumbers were so busy, they couldn't get to us until the following week. Keep in mind, Hollister is a small/everyone knows your business town, so believe me trucks in their driveways proved they weren't that busy. Something about business dealings in Hollister and most owners are put out by having to enlist their services..... Anyways, fast forward to my Yelp find of Complete Plumbing and Mike was out at our house the next day. He was there for 20-30mins with Joe (his coworker) climbing under the house, drawing a map, and assessing all the pipes. It was very impressive comparatively. We got our estimate and within 2 working days they were out working their butts off in the rain. Not an exaggeration. They worked from 9:30 until about 6-7pm with barely a lunch break. I cannot recommend Complete Plumbing enough. They were fast, professional, and hard working. As a cliche, it is so hard to find good workers these days, and these guys are them. Guys showed up on-time, big truck with all the fixins', and they went to work. Took about an hour for them to fix the problem, bill me, and be on their way. Sewer Main Clean out of our home was ancient, needing to be replaced, and the sewer line was clogged downstream by roots. What a wonderful experience we had with Complete Plumbing Jan 3. The work they did--two top notch plumbers in just a few hours: Re-piped Hot and Cold Kitchen lines and Hot to Dishwasher. [That involved one man under the house while the other under the kitchen sink]. Repaired Toilet in Master Bath. Repaired Mainline Supply. Replaced Washer Machine Hoses. They even raised laundry shelf for me so i could open my washer lid. They were so competent--there is that confidence that comes with experts in their field, at the same time they were courteous and approachable. We felt that we could ask questions without feeling that we were annoying them-- appreciated that we weren't treated just old doddies in a senior complex. They lay out large mats in each area to protect the floors. Also, they left each area -- the kitchen, laundry , a bathroom,-- cleaner, - when they left it! This job done so excellently, timely and with as much respect to our mobile home as any other standard house. (It isn't easy to find plumbers that do mobile home intricate work). I discovered a small leak under my home coming from the bathtub drain. After recommendations from friends and family via social media if some personal favorites, I was becoming frustrated from individuals that said they couldn't help because they don't crawl under homes anymore. I took to yelp hoping to find some help. I called Mike after reading several reviews, and was delighted to hear he would be at my home within 24 hours of the call. After a brief conversation of what I could see was wrong , Mike commented that it was a fairly common problem with older plumbing. Forward to this morning, Mike shows up on time, diagnosis the problem, has proper parts in the truck, replaces and repairs failed parts and is finished within 1.5 hours!!!! I found Mike Torculas and his helper Micah from my contractor. I called him in after 2 visits by another plumber had failed to fix several problems . He fixed the items and I used him to do other work on the properties. I had a good quote and Mike did everything he promised and more. We had PG&E out for a gas leak. They inspected 2 water heaters, and said the one Mike had put in was done the way it should be done. The other which was done by another company, not so much. Hands down, one of the BEST plumbers in the area. I had an emergency call to Mike as my water heater broke and was spilling water everywhere. Mike came quickly and calmly shut off the water to prevent any further flooding. After a quick assessment of the situation, he found out that the water heater was defective and then he was able to deliver a brand new one immediately (this is on a saturday by the way and to order a brand new water heater to be delivered an hour later is unheard of). Mike knew the urgency and understood that I needed to get the water heater back up and running as soon as possible so he called up his team and they arrived 10 minutes later. Within an hour, Mike was able to stop the leak, order the water heater, install the new water heater and get everything up and running. UNBELIEVABLE! Even after his job was done, Mike and his team went above and beyond as they spotted a potential problem with the vents and went ahead to fix it at no extra charge. Never returned my call about a continually running toilet. How's that for quick reliable service?

This is my first time to post a comment on Yelp because I felt I must say something. Complete Plumbing did an excellent job to solve the problem with the sink in the kitchen. The sink was not draining properly. I called a "big" plumbing company and they quoted me $1,728 for the whole job because they were not able to snake the sewage and they needed open the wall in order to run the snake down the sewage (sounds weird, doesn't it). I decided to get a second opinion and came across Yelp finding good comments about Complete Plumbing. I called them early in the morning and Mike was able to give me the appt. at 9:30AM same day. They showed up on time but called me the tenant was not at home as she promised. I apologized for that and was able to have them back at 4pm. Again they showed up earlier and did a quick diagnosis and gave me a positive response. They started to work on it and within 20 minutes they got the problem solved without "opening the wall"... The total price came out at $155 :) I was very pleased about their work and appreciate their professionlism. I will use their service again in the future if needed and highly recommend this company to anyone! read more
