They are responsive and very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I would absolutely recommend utilizing DME for any chairlift, stairlift, or elevator need just based on the professionalism I have personally experienced.

In large font it states "We provide our technician service at no additional charge (With no additional charge being in bold letters and underlined). At any time during the term of of your agreement, you call, we come, no service charge. If that simple." " We offer a 20% discount on any parts needed" Recently, due to a power outage, we were getting a fault code and needed service. No parts were needed, and the technician Dan who was great and very competent corrected the issue within 10 minutes. Much to my surprise I was handed a bill with a service call for $360 and a trip charge of $90 totaling $450. I contested the bill with the office and was told that that the bill is correct. She then faxed a page to me, which I never signed, that in small print has a "Limitation of Responsibility" statement that says they will charge for labor under various circumstances. There is no spot for initials or a signature on this page acknowledging that a customer has received and reviewed and accepted those terms. Seems unethical and deceptive. I'm all about being fair and supporting small businesses but $450 for a 10 minute service call when you have a service contract seems excessive.

I do not say this lightly, but these people are shameless crooks and extortionists... stay as far…read moreaway from them as you can. They also do business as "NAES Central Inc.," so don't be taken in by the alias if you come across it. If you manage an apartment building or condo association, then for the sake of your residents, please use *anybody* but these people to service your elevators. Our building - which had a non-ambulatory handicapped person living on the third floor at the time - had no elevator service for SEVERAL MONTHS waiting for these clowns to finish the job. People literally had to carry this person AND an electric wheelchair down three flights of stairs every time he had to go anywhere... for months (that's not hyperbolic; we're talking literal calendar months here). That sounds bad enough, but to add insult to injury, my condo association has been in a THREE YEAR legal battle with these douches over unauthorized cost overruns, where they tried to bill us about 260% of the quoted price. After negotiating in bad faith from the outset, these slimeballs put liens on EVERY unit in the association (there are about 144), effectively keeping anyone in the association from selling -- or even refinancing -- in the interim. They refuse to lift these even after agreeing to a settlement, according to the association. Public record searches even reveal apparent attempts by them to *foreclose* on *individual residents' units* in the complex; incomprehensible! (Their original work agreement was with the management company, not any individual resident). There is no excuse for any of this... not for services so poorly rendered, nor for their malicious and capricious business practices. I expect this kind of behavior from politicians, not from tradesmen.
