You signed a 60-month contract, and you have to pay it." ADT Response # 5 "You have to pay the full contract. I will send you a copy of your contract. Oh, sorry for your loss. No, nothing can be done. You have to pay the full contract." Response # 6: Wait until you get your final bill - it might change." Each time I spoke about my issues, I explained that there was NO WAY I would knowingly sign for a five-year contract when I was caring for someone with a terminally ill diagnosis. I was told to take the service with me or try to get the new owner to take over the service. When I looked online earlier today, the 'Final Bill" that I was to receive 30 - 60 days after the end of the month in which I canceled (March) was ALREADY posted online with a due date for 10 days from the date of terminating the service BEFORE the alleged bill that would be sent 30-60 days after the end of the month. Thus, well BEFORE the stated "your account closes at the end of the month." And the bogus "Wait until you get your bill and then call us" was NONSENSE - since they'd already put the bill in the system. WARNING - BEWARE of the "contract" they offer you - be particularly aware if there is a significant medical issue with anyone in your household that could result in a change of household circumstance. ADT clearly does not care about its clients. Its alleged commitment to service is a commitment to be paid for service - whether or not service is provided. I suggest you think very long and very hard about whether you wish to trust your security needs to this company!!

After having ADT for 3 years, and satisfying our commitment with them, and paying for the equipment that ADT installed, in our monthly rate, we called the same saleswoman. She arrived and told us that she doesnt endorse ADT anymore and she now works for a better company, and we'd benefit switching over to them and their system named Affinity Integrated Solutions. We were told that it works the same as ADT did and we'd pay for our upgrades with our monthly subscription and it would be just a couple of dollars more than ADT a month. With the new system all our doors would still be armed, as well as a new video doorbell. She added a new camera for our driveway and back patio, as well as all of our windows. AGAIN, we were told that a 3 year monitoring commitment was needed to pay for these upgrades. Sounds great??? 2 months after the installation a charge was on our checking account from a finance company. Upon some searching here and there we found out that NOTHING she had told us was the truth. TRUTH is, we now have a 10 year, yes 10 year, 120-month loan, at 11.99%, PLUS a monitoring charge of $36.99 a month for 39 months. NEVER was the word FINANCE, or INTEREST RATE ever mentioned or even thought of!!!! We trusted this woman and considered her a friend. Running a search of my e mails I found an e mail from the finance company in my spam file that was sent to me 5 days after we authorized our ADT "FRIEND" to upgrade our home. We would have had been able to cancel all of this within-in 3 days, but didn't know until I read this e mail 2 weeks later. Never were we given a copy of our monitoring agreement which we were told we would receive via text and e mail with in 24 hours, which we never did. we called and spoke to the woman who betrayed us and sold us this and she in turn had her boss contact us. He tried to make things right by paying us $520, and 6 months free monitoring services. BUT we're still stuck with a 10 year note at 11.99% We are senior citizens on a fixed social security income, I'm 70 years old and will have this bill until the age of 80. I use to look forward to my twilight years but now afraid of my future and that of my senior wife. This has and will put a strain on us for the next 10 years plus. PLEASE beware of this company trying to win you over and giving you the world!!!!! It's despicable what this company does and how they run their business. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
