We were very disappointed in the a service we received. We paid for a rodent inspection and weekly follow up for 30 days. The technician arrived for inspection on time was was helpful and efficient. He scheduled a time for someone to return the following week. No one came I called to reschedule and still no one came the following week . Never get Compass to do your fumigation and wood replacement when your property is already in escrow. Do not agree to allow them to take the funds out of escrow before the sale of your property funds to you. Their modus operandi when they know a house is already in escrow is this: they will first give you an extremely over inflated quote, but then verbally tell you the work will definitely not end up costing that much. Then when all is said and done they tell you the job was actually under estimated and they should have charged more! They do this because your hands are tied when the property is in escrow! They know you really don't have much time to get the inspection done and work completed. They know there is a limited amount of time to get other quotes, not to mention that if you decide to go with someone else for the repairs/wood replacement (as they are super expensive), they have you by the gonads, because if they are the ones who did the initial inspection, they are the ones who have to sign off on any repairs or work that gets done. They can keep telling you the job is not done right, implying that their way is the only way....thereby forcing you to use them. It's interesting to note that the only people who give this company 5 stars, are realtors who use them, probably when the properties in question are already in escrow......... makes you wonder if they are getting a kickback from the heinous amount of cash they withdraw from escrow before the sale funds to you!! I also couldn't get anyone to tell me what the total cost was until after the escrow had already recorded and funded. Not the realtors office, not the escrow company, nor Compass themselves, could tell me how much it was going to cost, even though Compass knows full well, before the house is tented and fumigated, what the total is. They wait for it to record and fund, then send you the paid invoice with total cost, cause that way, the deal's already been done! There's no turning back once they have their money! I have been burned by this company! I will never do business with them again and will be sure to tell all my friends, family and colleagues about what a rip off they are. read more

Selling our house and we had an initial inspection done by another company, they came out with a quote of $1500 in termite treatment that included other areas of our yard that I did not believe had any evidence of termite damage. I hired this company because they responded to my inquiry quickly and the fee was reasonable. I was communicating with John B., I believe may have been the owner. John was very professional, polite and humble. (very rare nowadays) He was accommodating with my schedule and thorough with his answers to my various questions. I was notified of the appointments along with reminders via email and text. I emailed the support service regarding changing a treatment appointment and was responded to immediately! Compass was able to rid my yard of the gophers which had taken up residence in and on my front yard. John even offered to treat the back yard in case the gophers traveled back there, however this was not necessary, as their treatment was enough to take care of the issue on the spot. Compass has one more treatment and they're done. Compass's service and customer service was enough to confirm that I had made the right choice of companies to rectify my gopher issue. I will retain their contact information in case I incur this issue again. (hopefully not, though-lol) read more

I have a rat problem in my condo which tha is going to pay them to take care of it a guy shows up does not go all the way in the attic places one trap and doesn't come back to pick up the rat. We used this company for almost a year now. We did the 3 months service, which was $52.00. They call the night before to say they are coming. Really? who does that? With busy schesules, it is very hard to free yourself in less than 24 hours. We were dealing with Mike. Since both my husband and I work, he worked around our Schedule. Unfortunately, his route changed and we had someone else named Terry. He never answers his phone and his times are not accurate. He told us he will be at our house from 8-10 and it was passed 10 and he never showed up. When my husband asked him, he said he is late 20 minutes. Well, we can't hang around and wait with busy schedules. Today, i come home and find a bill on my door that he sprayed the exterior. We never got a call or appointment saying he was coming. No one was home. I called the office to complain and the lady didn't really care and i cancelled our service with them. She was telling me that our service is only exterior, then how come they sprayed the inside every single time and why we'd pay $52.00 for exterior only? we might as well just buy home defense from home depot and spray for ourselves. Regarding their spray, they are OK. We don't have really bugs, we are just maintaining. If you want good customer service, don't use them. read more

My church friend recommended Compass. My experience has been great. I'm on 2 acres so I'm fighting scorpions, pincher bugs, jumping kangaroo rats, and snakes, to name a few. They come and spray monthly inside and out. I have only seen scorpions and pincher bugs inside. My technician is nice and takes his time. I bought my own snake mace and he volunteered to place it around the house for me. I'm deathly afraid of everything they said I can call if I find a mouse/rat and they'll come and get it. I had to give a 1 star because there is no ZERO! Don't waste your money. Paid $124 for nothing really. The service tech was nice enough at first. First time spray but he offered on going services at different intervals. Not wanting to commit I opted for the one time spray then figured if it worked well, then I would decide if it was worth the money to keep the service. The tech ensured us that the service was worth it. He said I had a 30 day guarantee!!!! His words, "if at anytime within the 30 days, you see one spider, call me and I will come out to respray no charge!". That was his selling point at the service he offered was every 45 or 65 days (not exact of the intervals, but close I am sure). As I worried about paying every 45 days if the spray was not effective. BTW, the reason we called was to eliminate spiders around a large house. No roaches, no bugs, but SPIDERS!!!!!! So the tech gives us a tour of a spider's mind. Tells us where they like to hide, how they get in the house, and more info on SPIDERS. Sadly, the treatment did absolutely nothing to ride the house of spiders. If anything, it irritated them and seemed to force them inside the house. After 2 days, we found 2 spiders. The entire week, seems we had more spiders in the house than ever. I thought that maybe it was a killing period and the spiders were running from the spray. WRONG! I went one week with no spiders. Then the next week I found 3 more. I should have called at this point but having out of town company for a funeral, I was unable to have the place sprayed with company. So by the time it was convenient, I called and explained the problem. The lady on the phone said the tech claimed I had signed up for the 45 day service, which is far from the truth. But the tech did say that if we saw a spider, the service was guaranteed for 30 days. Yes, I called on the 29th day and explained the situation. SO the lady on the phone scheduled an appointment 2 days later. Would be between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. I sat and waited till 11:00 before calling when the lady on the phone said the tech removed me from the schedule as he claimed I had signed up for the 45 day spray. First of all, what kind of service sets an appointment then scratches the customer off the schedule because he doesn't like the fact I did not sign up for the ongoing service? Who does not honor the 30 day guarantee he offered when I paid for then initial service? THEN to top it off, I when I called to find out what was going on as the tech left me waiting for 3 hours and a no show, I explained to the lady on the phone that the spiders had only vanished for one week of the 29 days. The lady told me flat out...."OH, THE SERVICE DOES NOT INCLUDE SPIDERS!!!". OK, I had a conversation with the tech who described the mind of a spider and why they get in the house. He also said, if I see even one spider in the 30 days, he would run right out and respray free of charge. Now the guy won't even notify us after taking it into his own hands to scratch me off the schedule and not even the decency to give a call and explain. Left me sitting here blindly for 3 hours. Another thing before I end the rant on the terrible service offered here. The tech wore ear plugs and safety glasses. I wondered so I asked why he didn't wear a respirator then I asked what chemical he was using. He said it was just an off the shelf product any body could buy at Home Depot and spray themselves, nothing very strong. I believe it and it doesn't work whatever it is! Don't waste your money on the poor service this company has to offer. Weak ineffective product, dishonest service tech, runaround from the customer service person on the phone, and all around a poor experience compared to other companies. I had just decided to give this place a chance after our usual spray tech moved his company out of state. Also let me mention, after looking online for a spider solution, I found I could spend $7 at Walmart for peppermint oil (must be 100%) another $2 for a spray bottle, then spray around the house and entry ways turns out to be more effective than the lousy service and product Compass has to offer. I spent less than $10 to get better results than the $124 I wasted with Comapass. Also the fact the tech scratched me off the schedule without so much as a word, was really lousy and shows the kind of bad service one will face when it comes to collecting on your promised 30 day guarantee! Promises promises and lousy service, stay away! SO bad that even if Compass was to call and offer a free respray (not really free as they owe it to me on my promised 30 day guarantee) I would not accept it. The service is that ineffective. As mentioned, I did better with $10 at Walmart and 10 minutes to spray around the house and entryways. read more

Excellent customer service and teamwork by Geoff, Velda and Kenny in saving the day for a random ant issue. We get regular service but this heat has brought in the ants for the first time in two years. Geoff immediately worked with his office to get us support and Velda called back within 10 minutes to say that I would have Kenny here for service between 2-4. Sure enough, he showed up in that window with a friendly attitude and rapidly solved the problem and proactively sprayed the perimeter of the house again just to fend off the possibility of another problem. Trying to be a first time (proactive) home seller I scheduled a termite inspection with Velda for $65 which is very cheap in September 2014. The employee who came (cant find his card since I moved out of state) said we had termites in an over hanging part above our garage door. He said he could give me a verbal quote on the spot ($350) to repair. He never answered our calls on his cell phone after that. 2nd inspection we had passed no issues. He also decided to scatter ads all over our house from the garage, water heater, kitchen. Really? Such shady business. Is it because I was a woman home alone? He took my husbands call the first time when he called to ask questions the on his inspection but never after. My guess is that he added "do not answer" to our number. The office was useless in helping. They didn't have info or anything to answer questions. Don't choose this place based on price. read more
