It would have been nice to hear other options for a hardware issue. But really this is a 5 star customer support service the tech's provide.

Avoid this place for your SEO needs. I made the unfortunate mistake of choosing this company for my SEO needs, and I find out that they were OUTSOURCING to overseas. I have emails to prove it. Nowhere in my contract, was stated they they would subcontract. Second, during the time I hired this awful company, their work was full of errors. They misspelled my company name on my website, when it was SPELLED CORRECTLY before I hired them. There were numerous other grammatical errors on the site. I chose this company because they had a physical location, but I had no idea that they outsource their work. I believed all these Yelp reviews, but now I question their authenticity. I never back up my computer, so when my hard drive died on my Toshiba laptop, I had a major meltdown. My life is in my computer and I needed to do something about it fast. I found Computer Professionals on Yelp and was close by so I stopped in. They told me that Data Recovery service would be a few hundred dollars which sounded about right based on my previous research. I told them to do whatever they needed to do to get all my data back. It was pretty bad so they said that it would take a few days, but they were hoping to recover everything. They were great about keeping me up to date and a few days later, I got my work files, pictures, music, etc back! Then I even recycled that old laptop with them and bought myself a new laptop which I love! I'm so glad Comp Pros was able to help me. Their pricing was very fair and they recovered everything fast. Last week, I pull the Luddite move of spilling water all over my laptop keyboard. Panic ensued as the screen shorted out and the computer shut down automatically. UHH, WHAT DO I DO?? I flim-flammed around a bit until I found some tips on my phone. Everything I read told me to turn it off and leave it off until a professional could take a look at. Well, I despaired at that point because in my initial panic, I had tried to turn it on at least once to see if it was still working (Luddite move, like I said). Dismayed, and petrified, I asked around and a friend of mine recommended that I take my laptop to Computer Professionals. So I did, and I'm happy to report that, hands down, they provided the best and most affordable computer service I've ever received. By that afternoon, Allen was calling me so often with diagnostic updates that I felt like I was getting the live-tweet version (lol). They cleaned up the water damage, backed up my files, and had my laptop ready for pick up with 36 hours of the time I dropped it off. Like I said--excellent, friendly, efficient, and best of all SUCCESSFUL service. I was so scared that I'd completely ruined my computer, and am in no place to get a new one. I go in and some guy claiming to be the manager wants to charge me an extra $80 for the repair even with my quote, ticket number, and employee references!! My power cord failed on the laptop. I'm an Angies List subscriber and found Comp Pros on it. Glad I did, as they are very can-do. First, the shop on Santa Monica Blvd. is well located. There is street parking, but a better option is behind the Dollar Store, municipal parking lot. I cracked my laptop screen (an old Macbook Pro) recently and was researching different businesses on Yelp to replace the screen so I could avoid buying a new computer altogether. Every business that got back to me was trying to charge me more than half the price of a new computer, and some even were asking for fees to diagnose the problem, even though I knew exactly what the issue was. Comp-pros is a 'family' owned and operated business that obviously cares about their good reputation -- which they have worked many years and continually day-to-day to build. Antonio is very much the hands-on, in-store, well-qualified, hard-working owner -- and his staff are expert, polite and patient. When I first called and then dropped in, Alexander provided me solid advice about what I should and should NOT get repaired on this older laptop - versus waiting a few months or longer and getting a new laptop. When I picked up the laptop after it was repaired -- which was on-time (just 1 day) and on-budget -- Antonio explained (and showed) what they had done. Both the new screen AND hard drive (now a SSD) they recommended and installed are MUCH better than the originals, and entirely reasonably priced. Don't blindly believe in 5-star ratings. My laptop has been blue-screening daily for the past 2 years, so I decided to finally get it repaired after I lost my essay from one particular incident. I dropped it over for a diagnosis and the person at the front (who was surprisingly brusk for a 5-star place, but getting my laptop fixed was what was important) informed me a few days later that they realized the problem was my laptop was overheating. Now I'm not a computer expert, but I didn't understand because it usually blue-screens the very second I turn it on. To my understanding, a laptop turned off for hours IS NOT heated up, and thus overheating isn't the issue. But I went with the $200 repair anyway, because hey they have 5-stars so they can't be wrong, right? I came in and picked it up, asked them if it was fixed and they told me it was. THE VERY SECOND I GOT HOME AND TURNED ON MY LAPTOP, IT BLUE SCREENED. This was a few months ago, my laptop continues to blue screen every day and now has been starting to blue-screen every two days. I didn't bother coming back to pay for another repair because I took an uber 40 minutes back-and-forth just to go to this highly-rated place only to feel tricked and $200 short at the end of the day. Sometimes, it's better to go with your intuition and if you think that a professional's solution doesn't make any sense, seek second opinions and find people who actually know what they're doing.
