As I expected, the Doctor did his job but the young lady at the reception was rude and sarcastic based on appointment times. I complained to the Office Manager and of course nothing was done.... so I took my business else where read more

I went to this podiatry practice because the word "wholistic" was mentioned in their approach to foot care. I have a few subtle problems with my feet that aren't too bad, but I didn't want to become a bigger problem ( slight plantar faciatis, some osteoarthritis in big toe joint). I explained this to the doctor and he concluded I could use steroids to help alleviate my concerns. He never asked to see me stand, find out my activity level, asked if I use inserts in my shoes, etc. I told him I was not interested in short term pharmaceutical fix, but that is all he provided. I should have skipped it and saved my copay for some new inserts. read more

Welcome to Community Foot Specialists! We are podiatrists proudly serving Dayton and Springfield, OH in five convenient locations. We strive to accomplish complete patient satisfaction while tending to your foot care needs. Our staff makes every effort to provide all of the help and information you need in order to make your visits with us as stress free as possible. We encourage you to look through our site to familiarize yourself with our practice and any podiatric problems you may experience. Many people are unsure of when to visit a podiatrist, a foot specialist trained to evaluate and treat foot and ankle problems. Oftentimes, they wait a lot longer than they need to before they decide to visit a foot doctor. When you experience any foot issues, your body is trying to tell you that something is wrong and you need to consult a foot and ankle doctor. Do not ignore your pain and discomfort. Please call us if you are suffering from acute or chronic foot and ankle pain and need to see a foot and ankle specialist. We treat a variety of conditions including but not limited too diabetic foot pain, ingrown nails, sprains, tendinitis, and heel pain. The physicians on duty at this location are Dr. Belinda M. Chan, DPM, and Adam M. Thomas, DPM. Our practice is operated and overseen by Allen C. Guehl, DPM We have Spanish speakers available upon request

History

Established in 2000.

Dr. Allen C Guehl began the practice in Springfield, OH almost fifteen years ago when he worked alongside Dr. Snorf.

Meet the Manager: Adam T.

Dr. Adam Thomas joined the practice in 2009. He received his medical degree in podiatry from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2006, after which he then completed a 3 year residency in Podiatry Medicine and Surgery at The Ohio State Medical Center in 2009. He is trained to treat a wide assortment of various foot and ankle conditions and is always updating his education through conferences and lectures. He is licensed by the State Medical Board of Ohio to practice podiatry. His primary location is in Springfield. He is credentialed and has privileges at a variety of hospitals and surgery centers in the Springfield and Dayton areas and is currently pursuing his board certification in foot surgery.

I highly recommend this practice! Dr. Lewis is great, she takes her time with you and genuinely cares about you. Dr. Ballinger is also really great, I've been seeing him since before he joined Community Foot Specialists back when he was with Providence Podiatry. They are both highly knowledgeable, have great bedside manners & have no problem at all referring you to another doctor/specialist or medical supply place if needed. The office staff - receptionist, nurses & medical assistants - are polite, helpful & very nice. It's easy to make appointments & they can usually get you in for an appointment within a week. read more
